Inside the Holiday Inn and definitely an A-OK place!
    Steven B.

Hotel bars often have a reputation for being boring and expensive. This joint is in the Holiday Inn and it's neither. Bangor, ME is not the end of the word but it's in the neighborhood. I was there on business last Thursday and Friday and visited P&L's both evenings. You could do a lot worse than to have an adult libation or two here. * I experienced two different bartenders and they were both veterans. They were competent and friendly. * They offer a M-F early Happy Hour form 3-5 pm. I was there on Friday and enjoyed three substantial glasses of the house merlot. The bill was $8.88! That definitely made me happy! * They have free freshly made popcorn all the time and during Happy Hour they add a lite hot nibble or two. * Live music on the weekends. I'd stop in again in a heartbeat.

    Lobster Club.

Had a great experience at the bar. Enjoyed company from two other customers. The male bartender was great! He recommended the Lobster Club, which I ordered, looked as good as it tasted. Chardonnay was perfect. Attentive service. Very content with my experience here, Friendly vibes. Cute and cozy environment. Would suggest people to come here! I loved it. BTW: bartender is cute & attentive ;)

Bar inside Holiday Inn....kids 12 and under are free with stay!!!! Awesome...up to 4 kids eat free

For what it is I'm giving it a 5....cheap, good eats. We arrived late 10:15PM...they accommodated me, my son, daughter. They where free (12 and under) and ordered the burgers. They where huge...8 oz....they where cooked over flame and good. I ordered haddock and it was decent for frozen. The bartender was on it and even brought my daughter oranges from the bar. Only complaint, speakers had a short and they kept cutting out.

    Lobster BLT

I've eaten several meals in here this past week that I've been staying at the Holiday Inn. I would not normally give a place like this 4 stars; but the food really is very good, and the prices are not too bad for a restaurant attached to a hotel. So far, I can say the clam chowder is on par with any up here in Maine, the French onion was delicious, the boneless wings were great, the burger was decent. But really, most of all, their lobster BLT was to die for. If you like lobster rolls and you like a classic BLT even more, than this is the sandwich for you! It was 20 bucks, but really, the quality was there, and I was stuffed after. This sandwich alone is the reason why I'm leaving this review. There was crisp lettuce, thick tomato, bacon, and a decent amount of lobster. Seriously, this was killer!

Islandtini - Amazing place to go for Happy Hour, or meeting up with friends! Food is amazing! Gotta try the Buffalo Chicken Sliders!

Staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is always on point. LOVE the Buffalo Chicken Sliders and the Lobster BLT. Great place to go for a quiet happy hour after work, or meet up with friends to watch the game. Great place to check out!

There were two hosts to greet me upon arrival. The space can be a little tricky to find if you've never been before.. if facing restaurant from the street you need to go to the right of it in a little alley way like spot and door is on your left in that space. The ambiance is upbeat and medium loud. Medium to dim lit with 7 or so spots at the bar and then tables near window or in dining room. There are wine, beer, and cocktail options. I had a blackberry cocktail with egg white, blackberry compote and gin. It was very good. Not too sweet or sour and light and fresh. The customers varied from older couples to dad and their kid to people in their early to mid 30's.

When traveling for work, I try to get food that I would cook for myself at home and this was that kind of meal. The one "odd" thing was the insane amount of salt on their fries. They were fried perfectly, shoe string like, but I had to take my fingers and dust off the salt. I love salt! But they were WAY over done. Otherwise this is a nice spot. I will come back next time I'm in town.

Seasons was packed which caught our attention. We ate light. Our meal consisted of the buff chicken Cesar wrap and fries. Classic wrap, exactly what you expect from a place like Seasons. On the other hand, the fries were awesome. Super crispy and small just how we like them. The service was kinda funny. We had a woman who was older. Lovely lady but she definitely had a hard time keeping up with the demand. If she was quicker we probably would have ordered more.

(I have heard they offer concert parking if you eat there, but it just word of mouth so I would ask if that interests you.) We went for lunch, however, on a Monday and it was slow. There are a lot of TVs on the walls, more than I have ever seen in a sports bar. Even in the rest rooms! I can imagine how busy they are on game days there. We shared out appetizers: nachos with guacamole on the side, and naked chicken wings with dipping sauce. I don't think any of us would rave about the offerings, but it was fine for pub grub. It took a while to get the food, but we were chatting and didn't mind. The waitress was friendly and helpful. I wouldn't say it was a memorable experience, and as we live in Dexter we won't exactly be regulars there. There are so many other restaurants to try! But if someone has a reason to want to meet us there, I wouldn't complain. It is good for pub grub.

The music was located in a room off the bar, with plenty of dancing space. We opted to stay in the main bar area, as it seemed that there were no waitresses going into the music room. Our waitress seemed new. She wasn't really able to answer any questions without checking with others. My daughter ordered the dessert special but was told they were all out. She switched to getting some nachos and the waitress wasn't sure if you could order them at a time that wasn't happy hour. She apparently thought that food listed on the happy hour menu was only offered during those times. I explained to her that typically you could still order those dishes, they would just be full price at any other time. After she consulted with another employee, they confirmed this. My son got the kids pasta and I got the wings. The food was pretty basic pub food. Nothing mind blowing, but a decent bite to eat at a reasonable price. Once we received our food, our waitress didn't return for at least 30 minutes. We waited a while before she came over to offer us boxes and our bill. Once she dropped those off, she quite literally disappeared. My kids got so tired of waiting that they just walked back to the room. I wasn't terribly upset because I was enjoying the music. However, after waiting another 30 minutes, I decided to track down the one other waitress to see if she could cash us out. There was a main bar/pub area and then seating in the back that was set up more like a dining room. Instead of having one waitress on each side, they had both bouncing back and forth. It was clearly too much for anyone person to be spread so thin, especially seeing how my waitress was new. That was no fault of hers, but just completely disappearing and never coming back seems like something even the newest server would recognize as inappropriate. I wish her luck, just don't know if she's at the right job.
