So first time to Blake's Lottaburger outside of New Mexico and in Tucson. It's the first time I've been to a Blake's in about 5+ years. It's different than what I remember. The burrito is significantly smaller and it's not as good as it used to be. The counter service was friendly and fast. I mean so fast my burrito didn't get prepared as well as normally. Ie they didn't melt the cheese in the burrito so it was a combination of ingredients in a wrapper. Meh, I'll be chasing different breakfast burritos which is unfortunate because I grew up on Blake's as a New Mexican.

This was a disgusting breakfast and the customer service on the phone is even worse ($20 worth of food down the drain)! I will never eat here again! I took a bite into the chicken sandwich and got stuck on some fat, I think ... my fries taste as if they spent too much time in the freezer, my burrito was flavorless and sad!

Blake's Lotaburger was completely empty upon arriving, and yet the tables were not all clean and wiped down. Our favorite part was the soda machines that allow you to customize your favorite flavors into your beverage of choice. The burgers and fries were both good. They don't have napkins out and available so I asked for napkins. I was told they would bring them but they never came back. We noticed the outlets also had USB plug in available. The restaurant design was simple and appealing. It didn't take horribly long for us, like it did for others to receive our order, but like I said it was empty upon arrival and only one other customer came while we were eating. They have a very limited selection. Basically, three burgers, two chicken dishes, two types of hot dogs, chili, fries, and rings and that's basically it. Music was okay.

I pulled in thru the driveway on a Tuesday afternoon around 5pm. As my 1st experience here, the wait was way too long unless they grill those hatch chilis on site. Still, there were no other customers in line. As for the food, I tried the Lota burger with green chili and cheese. Their menu is very minimal by the way. The burger was really good! The hatch chiles added to a cheese burger are such a good mix. The flavors sting your mouth nicely. I would consider the heat to be Medium. *I will come back to try a breakfast burrito soon.

I have passed this several times and never stopped but last week my husband said he stopped and really enjoyed it. Today I decided to stop also. The place was very clean. I encountered 2 employees who were both very friendly. I ordered the lotaburger add cheese to go. It was in my hands after just waiting a short time. When I got to my car and unwrapped it I was surprised how large it was. I was happy I didn't get the side items. I love that it had lots of fresh and crisp veggies. If you like a lot of meat they have a double patty option. The bun was chewy and delicious. The overall flavor was wonderful. I will definitely stop by again.

I've never been to a Lotaburger before. Before the Speedway location, I'd never even heard of the chain -- despite having been to New Mexico a few times. The great allure is the green chile, which may be a sore point for those of you who do not favor the more spicy eats. It's not sharp like the habanero. Doesn't stab like ghost pepper. Isn't slightly sweet like the bell pepper. The chile has a nice, firm but smooth bite with all the earthiness characteristic of the famed New Mexico green chilie. Being a fan, I was thrilled to see what Blake's had to offer. I needed to try this new location several times before feeling confident about leaving a review. Mostly because I could not reconcile my incongruent experiences. The main takeaway: management needs to do some serious work improving the consistency of service. So far, I've tried the Lotaburger, breakfast burrito, hot dog and the fries. The chain location also sales chili creations, sandwiches (including grilled chicken and pulled pork), Frito pie, onion rings, coffee, shakes and brownies, among other eats and drinks. But the burger is the spot. I find that the ingredients have been fresh, and the burger is well constructed. The breakfast burritos are often inconsistent in size and flavor. Same with the hot dog, which is overpriced and underwhelming. The fries are decent, with a nice sampling of skin still attached. Service is also inconsistent and often stale. The customer service element is missing. Which some might say is inconsequential. It's fast food. It's a chain. It's not homegrown. But it is oddly aloof. Incoherent. Uninterested. Strange. I'll return. But I take the point of many others here who complain about not being overly impressed despite the tremendous amount of hype following this chain.

In addition to the usual toppings, lettuce, red onion, tomato, and Graze sauce, I added grilled jalapeños, spicy mustard and cheddar cheese. I neglected to see ketchup on their toppings list due to order anxiety, but my burger and fries were so good, I didn't need it. The burger and toppings weren't overly juicy and the brioche bun didn't get soggy. I was really surprised how well the paper wrapping stayed intact and I didn't have to deal with any messiness. The fries were also really good. They remind me of fresh McD fries - the outside hot, crispy, and lightly salted and soft on the inside. I should have tried the seasonal shake which is peanut butter, because Graze's shakes look good and I'm a peanut butter fan. Hopefully, my next visit will be soon and I'll grab this shake then. Graze burgers are super good and am not sure why there aren't more than two locations.

Every bite is savory, fresh, and somehow still clean. How is it indulgent and light at the same time? The burger is stacked perfectly, juicy without falling apart, and those sweet pot tots? Crispy outside, soft inside, and dangerously addictive. If you want something that feels indulgent but doesn't leave you in a food coma, this is it. 10/10. Always coming back - staff is welcoming and polite , I love. ALSO they have curry ketchup! It's just a must try and if you're a sweet tooth- the chocolate milkshake is killer. Provecho!

Our waiter was kind, but the service was a bit inconsistent throughout the meal. The outdoor seating is a nice option, especially on a beautiful evening, though the cushions could definitely use some refreshing and cleaning. Now, food-wise, it was a mixed experience. My husband ordered the Baja Shrimp Sandwich, which felt more like an appetizer than a full entrée. I had a salad with added salmon--it was fresh and well-prepared, and the salmon itself was cooked perfectly, but the portion of salmon was tiny and didn't feel worth the added cost. My teenager enjoyed the Early Riser burger with a side salad. The truffle fries were solid, but the side salad felt overpriced for what it was. Overall, the experience just didn't quite match the price point. I really wanted to like it more, and it's honestly surprising to me that, with the same ownership as Graze, the experience felt so different.

Time to go back and review. I like to revisit places after a few years and see what is different…read more Smoky Mo didn't disappoint. Places are successful because they stay the course and do what they do best. Today we went with the four meat platter, perfect amount for two people, brisket, pulled pork, turkey and sausage. With four side of coleslaw, mac and cheese, potato salad and cornbread. All meats are still sauced unless requested "on the side", but not so much to overwhelm the meat taste. Juicy flavorful pulled pork. Delicious smoked turkey. Brisket was just slightly dry but the sauce and nice bark made it enjoyable. The sausage was AMAZING, juicy and packed with flavor. Coleslaw in my opinion, could use a little more "wetness" but it was still delicious. What can I say about the mac and cheese and potato salad, people from the south, Texas to the Carolina's just know how to get it done. The "Texas Sweet Tea", if you are a diabetic do not drink, however this is a true southern tea, it's done the same all across the south, sugar with some tea thrown in. Four meats, four sides and two drinks with tip $50, not bad for two people, I've definitely spent more for food that didn't even come close to this. Once again Smoky Mo you did not disappoint. If you are a BBQ person this is STILL the best of Tucson. Get out and support this small local business!

I ordered a small combo plate of ribs and sliced brisket (sliced with the grain and not cross it as it should have been) and my sides were greens and coleslaw. I did not see the sign that said all of their meats were sauced, but if I saw it, I would not have had them put sauce on anything. As someone who smokes a lot of food, when I taste meat, I want to taste the meat and the seasoning and the smoke itself. The ribs and brisket were very tender, but all I could taste was the vinegar in the barbecue sauce. It completely ruins the meal for me because if I wanted to drink barbecue sauce, I would've asked them for a side of it with a straw. I did not taste the meat, I did not taste the seasoning, I did not taste the smoke. I also believe that if a pitmaster floods their product with barbecue sauce, they are hiding something. So I can't tell you anything about the meats other than everything tasted like barbecue sauce. For the side dishes, I got the coleslaw which was tasty and the greens. You can see the picture I took after I finished the greens and it looked like I had a cup of soup. I don't know why they wouldn't drain the water out of the greens. Since I was the only one in the restaurant, I was also surprised that nobody came up to me and asked me how the food was. They were all busy on their phones or talking to each other than to check with one of their paying customers if they were enjoying their food. The place itself, physically, I liked because it was a hole in the wall type atmosphere. I don't think I would've chosen contemporary hip-hop for my guests to hear. So that's it, I'm giving it two stars only because the tenderness of the meat, but definitely not because of any other flavoring I tasted. I also felt it was extremely overpriced for the portion size. I tried it, now I can write a review and know that I will never go back again.
