We had a party of 20 plus and they accommodated us with ease. We were sat at two long tables, and we had two waitresses to take care of us, and they did. Super job from the whole staff. Very friendly and polite. I had the chicken fried steak, the portion was large, took up the whole plate. The meat was all the way to the edge, with the breading. Just the way it should be. I had Mac and cheese, and cream corn. Very good tasting. Maria had the chicken strips with gravy and fries. I'm not much a fan of steak fries, but these were done perfectly. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Andrew had the chicken Alfredo, what a meal, especially for an 11year old, but he took care of that plate all by himself. We also had a slice of coconut cream pie, oh boy, it was so good. For some reason, my pictures won't post.

As usual, this was a convenient meeting point with the parents in the course of Mr R's visit…read more We met on a weekday afternoon, tons of available parking and perhaps a half dozen seated parties from young families to retirees when we entered. It was warm to start but the AC caught up in a reasonable time. Ma enjoyed the usual house salad with the rest of us and a dish of meatballs since she's given up carbs; was very satisfied with the flavor/texture. Her husband ordered his absolute usual, the fettuccine chicken alfredo. I can truthfully swear in court he HAS actually tried and enjoyed other dishes, but I think he himself has forgotten that fact. Mr R, eating vegetarian this day, had the eggplant parmigiana which still had a lovely crisp on it and enough sauce/cheese to complement without becoming overwhelming. The last 2/5 of his plate was full of spaghetti marinara and he cleared the entire thing even after a sub at Angellis for lunch. I had the chicken cacciatore for the first time in a while, and while warned it was a little spicy found it was a lovely gentle heat. The chicken cutlets do seem a little smaller since the last time but I could be wrong. The basket of rolls, in contrast, was ginormous. I don't think I recall being served that many for a party of four here, but again. Perhaps I misremember. Naim took great care of us in between the other tables and several to go orders. He always does and he loves a clean table. No one had room for dessert and we didn't win the fight for the tab so I can't tell you the actual price. Took home that mountain of fresh rolls and they fed Mr R and myself the entire next day just enjoying buttered rolls, tomato sandwiches, and using up leftovers in the fridge like brisket and the rest of my chicken cacciatore. We lingered a long time catching up and no one rushed us. Bathroom is aged but clean. On this days adventure I found myself in Seguin at the "Power Plant Texas Grill". But let's start…read morefrom the beginning, as you arrive you are greeted by an incredible view of the river and the restaurant that was once an old power plant (hence the name). Parking is little limited but on the side of the establishment is an auxiliary parking. As you walk inside you see the old power station. As you enter you are taking to your seat, either inside or in the patio area to see the view of the river. The personnel are very helpful and kind, they answer any questions regarding the menu. Now the food I choose the "Pecan Crusted Chicken" with a side salad and "Poblano Corn", there are many options for your sides to make it your choice. As far as the taste of the meal, it was delicious and outstanding flavors, I highly recommend this place.

I didn't want to believe some of the reviews about this because I believe in having the experiences for myself but my fellow yelpers weren't lying.... Our service was not its best. The guy started by serving us water and literally throwing the straws at our table it was so odd and came off as disrectpful. I would say it's because he was so busy but that wasn't even the case. Granted we were a larger table but like I said we all were working well with him. I think the worst of it was instead of going around the table and handing my mom her salad he reached over my sister and spilled all the ranch all over her hair and blouse. We were all pretty shocked! Mistakes happen that's for sure but it just seemed like his rushed behavior caused the mistake. The ambiance was nice! Very chill I loved the water right outside the restaurant that was nice too. I will give credit where it's due they did comp her meal but just because my mom had to point it out not because it came out of them. It just was a very different experience.

I am writing to share feedback regarding a recent dining experience at your establishment. My…read moreboyfriend and I were looking forward to our visit, as he has frequented your restaurant for lunch in the past and spoke very highly of the food and the location's historical significance. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet those expectations. Upon checking in, we were initially directed to a table that had not been cleaned. When my boyfriend politely asked if we could be seated at a booth that was currently being cleared, the host initially agreed. However, she then seated two other guests, who were white and had arrived after us at that same booth. Given the circumstances and the subsequent request to wait for a different table, this incident opened our eyes to potential racial bias, and we felt it was best to leave and dine elsewhere. I believe your host staff would benefit from additional training regarding equitable service and professional conduct. It is truly a shame that our visit was handled in this manner, as we had hoped for a much more welcoming evening. I wanted to bring this to your attention in the hope that it helps improve your service for future guests.

For those of you who seem obsessed with the amount of pending drafts I have…read more and when I get them done and how many I do at a time... Take note, I'm now in my Seguin pending draft phase. I digress. Let's get this review going: This family-owned bbq joint opened their door just a couple of years ago (2023). Don't let this new establishment concern you because these folks have been at it for years. Their previous place was in Rosenberg and it opened back in 1990. Prior to that , the owner's parents started their first place back in 1964. Proper, generational barbecue...it's in their blood. In fact, I'm pretty sure their blood is bbq sauce. They know what they're doing! The restaurant and covered patio are modern and industrial with wood, brick, and metal elements. Ample seating inside and out. The food is bombastic! Sometimes they have an Italian beef sandwich that I'm just crazy about. Love these other sandwiches too: Brisket Turkey Sausage Boyfriend loves the pulled pork sandwich. The brisket nachos are mouth-watering goodness. They have brisket tostadas that I've not tried yet but definitely plan to. I lose my mind for the peach crumble and the boyfriend loves the pecan cobbler. Sides we love: Brisket rice!! Tater tot casserole!! Mac + cheese Buttered potatoes Do yourselves a favor, go pig out at this pit room. You'll be glad you did! PS: stellar service too

I went in today with my three-year-old son during lunch hour on a weekday and it just felt like the elder crowd was like "what are they doing here?" As I walked in. Plus, some guy in a big ol truck of course ( mind you I have a truck) decided that he wanted to almost hit my son and I as we' attempted to walking across the parking lot. I digress, but it was to the extent that I didn't even want to sit inside, so we sat on the patio. Which reminds me 91° outside and the patio well well ventilated, w/ breeze and felt good. All in all just an iffy experience. Food was good not great turkey was dry but the baked potato salad will have me back through the drive-thru through.
