One the worst BBQ restaurants I've ever visited. My wife and I ordered 1/2 chicken, pork ribs, sausage and brisket. Our entire meal was not hot. Food should not be served at room temperature. The only item that was hot was the pinto beans. Very disappointed. Will not return nor will I recommend. Restaurant was not busy. We were the only ones there. Maybe that was a sign. As it turns out, we wanted BBQ today. We were helped by a nice young man at the register. He was very patient with us since it was our first time there. When we were done, the manager, Paul, came over and checked to see how our meal was. The whole experience was great, and the food was delicious. We Door dashed this the other night for dinner and we're NOT DISAPPOINTED ONE BIT ! I HIGHLY recommend this place. They sold me after one bite ! I'm sorry in advance that I didn't get a pic with f my husbands plate :( he had the pork ribs, cream corn and the Mac n cheese. The taste I had of his cream corn was TOO GOOD. My plate had pork belly burnt ends, pork loin and jalapeño sausage with potato salad and the pinto ranch style type beans and my FAVORITE part was the pork belly burnt ends!! Ordered on line. Picked up at 7:30 pm on a Sunday. I said don't this order include drinks. Was told no and he walked away. I went out side and asked my friend who actually places the order and checked the check. And sure enough we had drinks coming went back inside got my drinks along with an attitude from the employee. I should've checked the bag better but it turns out I was also shorted a sandwich. So employees are both rude and incompetent. As far as the food. Meat was good but the sides were average at best. I received a survey from Smokey MO's where I expressed my displeasure and was given an apology and a $30 coupon which I'll never be able to use since I was in San Antonio for a visit and there's no Smokey MO's in Philly. We love Smokey Moe's barbecue. Nathan or Paul are always there. They go out of their way to make sure you enjoy dining. It is always clean inside and the restrooms are always clean and well serviced. We love that open sign when it's pushing 9 o'clock and we haven't had a chance to eat yet. You can always find delicious food at Smokey Mo's. We were putting Christmas decorations away and didn't realize the times so we went down the street to Smokey's. It was already after 8 o'clock. Our only other option in our area is something fast food. A hot delicious sitdown meal is always good. My brisket was so delicious tender and juicy. My husband had a three meat plate and everything on there was so good. Most of the barbecue places in New Braunfels are all piled up in one area. We don't have a lot of eating options except fast food and Smokey Mo's. We have the best on Highway 46. When you're heading out towards Canyon Lake area, this is a great place to stop to pick up food or to go inside and eat. read more

I absolutely LOVE Smokey Mo's. The food is always fresh! I always get the baked potato, 1/2 lb ribs, 1/2 lb turkey and green beans. I can't think of a time I've ever been disappointed with the quality and flavor of the food and I frequent this place very often. If you're ever looking for great food (dine in or drive thru), don't hesitate to give this place a visit. You will not regret it!! Sooooo delicious!! I've been to this Smokey Moe's several times. Consistently fresh and delicious. They have added pork belly burnt ends today so I decided to add that to a plate order. Not always obvious from Hwy 46 but Smokey Mo's, located in a small strip mall, has the best bbq'd meats of all kinds and wonderful sides. There are salads and desserts. We've been too full to indulge in desserts though. We live on the other side of NB where most of the popular BBQ places are but we drive across town to get our BBQ from here. Even have used them for family gatherings. Best bbq anywhere. As with any BBQ it's not cheap but worth every penny. read more
