You can tell everyone is genuinely happy to be there (not something you see often). We ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes (amazing), the breakfast fried rice (so many flavors and so filling!) and my husband had Joe's Sammich. Everything was made fresh and had so many elements of flavor to them! The portions are larger than they seem and so rich! Even their waffle fries are perfectly crisped and flavored! Heard a lot about the restaurant so decided to stop in, you walk up and place your order- limited menu and then you pay. They have a soda fountain/ section with coffee where you get your own drinks, and have a seat. The restaurant has a minimal modern style, and was very clean. My friend had a more traditional plate. The staff were engaging and friendly. While you do order from a counter, they checked on us throughout the meal. My plate arrived beautifully presented with a huge raise of watermelon radish on top. I happen to like those so that was a nice add on. The toast, avocado, eggs and all made a very nice combos. I have actually been to this place this place 3 times and love it! The parking is decent and is located in a small shopping center, but it does get packed. So if you go on a Sunday try to get there before Church gets out. When walking in you get a nice new age vibe and the customer service is always great! You can scan a barcode to view the menu or just look at the one when getting to the register, but the barcode has more of a selection. The food is of good portions and the taste is amazing! I'd heard a lot of good things about this spot, so I came in genuinely excited to finally try it. My son had an orthodontic appointment nearby, so we stopped in for breakfast. You order at the front and grab your own drinks, which is simple enough, and the restaurant is clean. The food came out quickly, so things started off well. I ordered the avocado toast with a side of bacon; my son got waffles with eggs and bacon. His plate was the highlight -- he said everything was excellent. My avocado toast, though, was all presentation and no flavor. Pretty, but bland. What changed the entire experience was the interaction when the food was dropped off. The waitress set the plates down, immediately looked at my son, and said, "Drink that up and throw it away," pointing at his unopened Fairlife protein drink. I told her it wasn't even open, and she shot back with, "Well, the health department is very picky." It wasn't the rule -- it was the tone. She talked down to us, and I was genuinely offended. It felt unnecessary, condescending, and completely out of place. The bill was a little over $40 for the two of us, which would've been fine if the experience matched the hype. What a fun stop. We love trying new places and today was the day for breakfast. Their menu is adventurous which is always a plus. We ordered the breakfast eggrolls and the breakfast nachos. I don't see what's special about this place. The "everyday egg plate" is a barebones 2 eggs, 2 slices of toast, 2 small strips of bacon, and some hash browns. Certainly not worth the price. The hashbrowns were weird: deep fried cubes that were all gooey inside and that were very heavy on the stomach. The variety of breakfasts on offer was also very slim. You get in line to order, pay and then you take your number to your seat. Our party ordered a variety of things: Coffees were great. Mimosas were wonderful!! The ice is little round frozen balls of cranberry or pineapple so your drink doesn't water down but stays fruity. Blueberry lemon pancakes were good but a teeny on the super sweet side. Eggs over medium. Sausage. Bacon. Hashies were these big cylinders of hashbrowns and cheese. BLT was huge. Food was wonderful. People were kind and inviting. They were always cleaning up plates, bringing things and making sure all all the needs we're being met. I would come back just for the staff and atmosphere alone, but then we get to the food which is really the star of the show. While scrolling through Facebook I noticed a new post regarding a new breakfast spot here in New Braunfels. I locked it into my GPS and took a little drive. This was not in Apple maps or Google yet. Yay for being the first to review here! In a crunch for time, I went online and perused the menu. Lots of delicious looking dishes on the menu. The prices seemed a bit steep, but considering its location and in a ritzy boujee area, I sort of expected it. That, and the price of eating out now is expensive everywhere due to this economy. Nonetheless, I did not let it deter me. I opted for the breakfast sammich and subbed for hash browns. My order was just a tad over $15 and the online app approximated 30 minutes for my order. I arrived in 15 minutes to pick my order up. In a time crunch, I was hoping they would have me out quick. I walked in and was impressed by the decor. This place is a walk up to the counter and order, then find your seat kind of place. Large open concept, with a clear view of the kitchen. Modern decor and very clean. I was greeted immediately as I walked in by someone at the front counter. Staff seemed very friendly. I walked up to the counter and gave them my name for the takeout order. She said she was going to go check on it, but then heard a voice from across the room hollering my name. Perfect timing! The 30 minute wait was only 15. I was handed a brown bag and was on my way. This was a fancier brown shopping bag. I could not wait. I got into it as soon as I got in my car. It came packaged well in a fancy little brown box. A simple sandwich in a hamburger sized brioche bun. Fluffy eggs and plenty of bacon. The hash browns looked like freshly shredded potatoes. The sandwich was delicious. The hash browns were delicious as well. They were a tad bit more mushy for my liking. Next time I might see if they can crisp them up a little. But overall, delicious! Highly recommend breakfast.. I enjoyed my food very much and look forward to having it again. I want to try the bacon fried rice next time. I am hoping they expand to the other side of New Braunfels after they get more popular. This was quite the trek from Manor, but oh man was it worth it! We started with the Breakfast Egg Rolls, which they were out...more on that...keep reading...So we rolled with the Single Biscuit with Duck Fat Gravy...Always have a back up Plan...got our drinks and had a seat and not 5 minutes later we were told "Dad" is making the eggrolls know...bring it on! First...Biscuit and Gravy were simply delicious...Flaky, buttery and tender...and that Gravy was perfect on its own...Egg Rolls alone would be worth the Drive...yes that good...we love bringing the GD on trips like this (this marks 78 different joints @14 years old)...She loved her pancakes and Eggs...she kept saying Its so much food...Wife went with the Everyday Egg Plate with Bacon...and They have Hashies?? What??...by far the best breakfast Potato we have ever eaten...very creative..Nice job...The Dish that caught my eye was the Bacon Fried Rice?
