We were hungry while waiting to hear back from a friend. Found Wafflelicious on Yelp. It did not disappoint. We found the restaurant very busy but were fortunate to get seated pretty quickly. While walking to our seats, we saw so many delicious plates go by. This made for a difficult decision. My husband ordered the Berry Dream Sweet Waffle with a side of ham. I ordered the Southern Chicken Waffle Sandwich. Both were delicious. However, the side of ham was not much in the respect of protein for my husband, so you may want to ask about other options if you need more protein. My chicken waffle option had plenty of protein as it included the fried chicken, bacon and fried egg. And, oh so good. We also ordered the apple tart for later. :) Service was excellent. First time here and absolutely love it!! The ambiance is super inviting and everyone is so friendly. Our server was such a sweetheart (Caitlin) and gave great recommendations. Okay y'all, this is the spot to eat breakfast if you love waffles. I ordered the chicken and waffles with the heart shaped vanilla waffles. OMG every bite was heaven. Everything was cooked perfectly. Tyler was my server. He has a great and welcoming smile and was extremely attentive. My drinks were never empty. The vibe of the place gave me old school dinner mixed with modern day seating. Now, it was my first time. And I was very disappointed with with a female employee with full sleeves and a Hispanic male I heard talking very loudly about politics. They were older. They spent 10 minutes bashing Republicans and people who wear MAGA hats. That was so unprofessional. I'm already scared to wear it in public and people like them are why. Nothing is wrong with me. This is a newer place across town from us, but we decided to try it out because my significant other really likes waffles and we were wanting to go out for brunch. We went late on a Saturday morning and there was a wait of 15 minutes or so. The dining room was small and we were seated at a small table for two. There wasn't anywhere to put my purse so I had to put it on the floor. The restaurant was very loud inside so it was hard to hear each other across our tiny table, or hear the waiter. They should invest in some acoustic panels; there is definitely room for them on the walls. We each ordered the Longhorn coffee with oat milk. It didn't come with whipped cream as expected, I guess because we asked for oat milk. Next time I will explain that I don't have an intolerance and just prefer oat milk, so I will hopefully get the whipped cream. The coffees were good though. Our waiter was very friendly and fairly attentive. My dining companion got the Monte Cristo waffle, which wasn't really much like a Monte Cristo, it was more like a usual breakfast platter (waffle, ham, eggs) plus swiss cheese, all piled up. For a Monte Cristo you usually have jam to dip it in, it's usually a sandwich, etc. But the ingredients were good and he liked the waffle. I got the Southern Chicken Waffle Sandwich and asked for it without arugula. I also made sure they'd bring syrup. Do not order this sandwich if you don't like thick breading on fried chicken. Since the breading was flavorful I didn't mind this, but I could see someone being like, "this bite is all breading and no chicken!). I liked the little bit of aioli drizzle and it was good mixed with the syrup provided. Again, like the Monte Cristo, it wasn't really a sandwich, it was a waffle with chicken, egg, and bacon piled on. The bacon was perfectly done. I liked that we were asked how we wanted our eggs even though the menu sometimes specified a style (he got scrambled and I got over medium). I couldn't finish my food so now I have some to enjoy later. I would go back, but I'm not sure how soon that will be since this is on the other side of town from where I live, and I'd only be able to go on weekends due to their hours. read more

I met my family at Wafflelicious for lunch on New Year's Day. It's a cute little restaurant on the inside with some outdoor seating available. They seem to do a pretty good business and that's because they serve some pretty good food. I had the waffle Benedict which is exactly what you would think, instead of the English muffin there's a waffle in its place. The egg was perfectly poached sitting on top of Canadian bacon on top of a waffle and hollandaise sauce. It was absolutely delicious. My youngest daughter had the Avacado and egg waffle that looked incredible, she said it was every bit as good as it looked. My oldest daughter just had a plain waffle and really liked it. My son in law had the Monte Cristo waffle and he also said it was very good. Our server, Cole was excellent. He checked on us often making sure we had everything we needed. Now the food is great! They have gluten free waffles which is a big deal for me. The only problem I have consistently had was that this building is so damn loud. The walls are brick and have nothing on them to dampen sound. My poor grandfather couldn't even have his hearing aids on with how bad the echo is. The croissants are great. I'll pass on the waffles. I ordered a plain waffle from the drive-thru. I had no idea that adding powdered sugar was a standard thing. Our party of five was next, and she seemed confused about how to handle us. She then told us we would need to wait outside because it was "company policy" when the restaurant was packed. However, there were empty seats inside, and it was very cold outside. We explained that we were not willing to wait outside in the cold. I also noticed that no other patrons were asked to wait outside. This could be taken in so many ways. In my 56 years of living, I have never been asked to "Wait outside". We tried this new addition to our side of New Braunfels. The remodel of the space is bright and open, making it feel larger than the restaurant previously in this location. It was nice to be greeted at the door and taken to the seating. The young man who greeted us was also our server, and he was friendly and welcoming. I had the corned beef with hash browns (which were the cubed potato kind - not shredded). The potatoes were crisp - just the way I like them. The corned beef was tender. The potato to meat ratio was a little heavy on the potatoes, but it was tasty, nonetheless. My husband had bacon, eggs and chocolate chip waffles. The bacon was also cooked deliciously crispy. I am not generally a huge waffle fan because I like savory breakfast. However, these waffles were really good. Nice crisp on the outside, but soft, fluffy inside. They were generous with the chocolate chips (which are $1 upcharge), and the warmed syrup made the perfect finish. The prices were reasonable for a good portion of food. (I had some left to bring home.). I note that in addition to savory waffles, they also have some interesting sandwich and salad options for those who don't like breakfast after a certain time of day (like me).
