The food was good. The service was good. The ambiance was good. I could not rate them a "5"…read morebecause they have joined in a trend that leaves a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended). They charged me 3.5% for using my credit card to pay for my meal. That bank charge is one of their costs of business (what is next, charging for the dish soap they use to wash your plate?) and is therefore a deductible business expense. But for me, since I cannot write it off, that 3.5% just increases my cost of dining out. I know restaurant margins are slim, but I'm pinching pennies, too, so I won't be going back to this restaurant.

She asked again, and while still facing away from her, he responded, "I heard you the first time. I'm dealing with something." I completely understand that the restaurant was busy and that employees can become overwhelmed, but there was absolutely no reason to speak to a customer that way. Even a simple, "I heard you, give me just a moment please," would have been completely understandable. I don't know if he was having a bad day or dealing with something stressful, but customers should still be treated with basic respect. Betty and the assistant manager, on the other hand, provided amazing service and were both extremely polite and welcoming. We really appreciated them. I just hope management addresses the way darrell speaks to customers because that interaction definitely put a damper on an otherwise decent experience. My ONLY reason for the 2 stars

When the food finally came out, it seemed like the rest of the family enjoyed their chicken and waffles, chicken and fries, pancakes, eggs, and bacon, so I'll give a star for that and the cinnamon roll. My ribeye, on the other hand, came out a sickly gray (pan wasn't hot enough, meat was wet, rookie move). It tasted meh, I didn't even finish it. Probably a good thing, since it gave me mild food poisoning. There was effort from our server, and some of the food was good, but the long wait for food, getting dripped on the entire meal, and terrible steak that gave me gastrointestinal distress each take away a star, and make it to where I probably won't be back. Also, the big sign outside says all you can eat shrimp, but that isn't mentioned anywhere in the restaurant (not on menus, boards, or mentioned by the server). Honestly it's the cinnamon roll that's keeping this from being a 1 star review. It was delicious.

This was our first visit to waffelicious and I can say it did not disappoint! The Restaurant was very cute, clean and very welcoming . I loved how open and inviting it was when we walked in. Cole , our server was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the menu . Now to the food! The food came out fast and it was delicious! I had the southern chicken waffle sandwich and my daughter had the s'mores waffle . Both were so so good! ! Let's not forget about the coffee! They had an extensive coffee menu . I have enjoyed the food and staff at this restaurant since it opened. I usually show up with water or coffee in hand while always ordering more. Today I was not allowed in with my cups and could not sit down because two others had yet to arrive. I brought up to staff that I always do this and it's not even busy. I was basically told "No!" I called manger/owner about prior visits and I was a regular. His response was to threaten his staff (I hope I didn't cost them their job) rambling about health code violations. (Not existing). Manager/owner was pretty hatful. Instead of dealing with an unhappy customer he threatened staff. Same owners as Fork and Spoon. No longer a once a week customer. This place was my "Cheers". Good, friendly service and everything came out fairly quickly. My only issue, as a standard black coffee, no-frills drinker, is $3.55 seems a bit much. I'm sure it's related to some high-end coffee bean being used, but that just isn't my scene.
