Honestly, the breakfast looked delicious. I made the mistake of coming for lunch. To put it simply, this is that relatively bland food menu made for people who have had seasoning and flavor restricted from their diets for health reasons... which is probably why the majority of the patrons were senior citizens at lunchtime. Everything is pretty dry and flavorless, which is good for those people watching stuff like sodium intake. Service was great. Decor was beautiful. Unless I'm up in NB for breakfast, I'm just going to go elsewhere. There's a lot if new places popping up in this area that look more foodie-friendly.

OMGEEEE!! This place is absolutely amazing! The food is freshly cooked, my wife loved the green beans! (She is picky about veggies) the chicken is freshly breaded and fried to order, so you have to wait a little for your food to be ready but IT IS WORTH IT! My Belgian waffle combo was delicious, waffle is nice and fluffy, not hard like some places! London, our waitress was attentive and joyful and kept my coffee cup full. Great job London! Lastly, the clam chowder tastes like something you would expect on a coastal city! I highly recommend Avery's Kitchen if you're looking for some down home cookin'! BTW, the coffee is superb!!

We've heard and read so many positive reviews of Avery's Kitchen so when my wife and I were deciding on where to go for lunch on a Saturday afternoon after playing some spirited games of pickleball, we opted to try Avery's Kitchen. Located in a fairly new cluster of buildings along FM 306 by the Homewood Suites, Avery's Kitchen's interior was pretty basic with a stylistic monogram "AK" dominating the dining area. We were promptly seated and were given a fairly extensive menu. It looks like they serve breakfast all day long. We started out with an order of Onion Rings. My wife then ordered their Fried Shrimp Po Boy served with fries and I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. The onion rings were crispy outside and nice and tender inside. Always hated it when you bite into one and the ring of onion comes out with one bite leaving the breading behind. My wife liked the size of the shrimp that came with her po boy, unlike ones we've had where the shrimp are teeny tiny. The shrimp were cooked right, nice and tender and not chewy. Flavor was good. My dish, however, was just OK. Was hoping for a peppery gravy but theirs wasn't. The chicken was tender and crispy but I always think the peppery gravy is what puts that dish over the top. The green beans were just OK, but not as good as the Gruene beans from Gristmill in my opinion. All in all, a decent lunch but we prefer Gruene River Grill or Gristmill instead. Lunch for 2 came out to just over $48 with tip. Jim

Outstanding we were greeted with a smile. The server was courteous. The atmosphere is family friendly & clean. We only had to wait about 10 minutes and once we sat down a server took our order. The only mark is it took about 30 minutes but the FOOD made up for it. The food was hot and tasty. Those hash browns were out of sight. The portions are a lil small for the price but you do get full. I highly recommend you visit.

Is this All You Can Eat? .... Yelp had it listed as A.Y.C.E.

It's "all you can eat" shrimp, but I'm not sure what that really means

    Do they serve mimosas?

No, we don't sell alcohol, but we do allow you to bring in your own alcohol. B.Y.O.B. And we will even provide the orange juice, bottle chillers, and glasses. :)

The waitstaff is wonderful and everyone is so nice. I get the same dishes every single time because I know they are very good...the hummus and their bread is amazing! Caesar is also super good every time. We love getting the meatballs and the shrimp dish...the shrimp one is probably my favorite item on the menu. I don't even love wine but the wines I have had there are great! The only cons I do have to say are I wish the menu had more options or when there are specials it's more than one day before they sell out. I LOVE tiramisu and that's the one dessert they do have but I've only been able to order it once because every other time they are sold out and I understand you run out but then there needs to be a second or third option to choose from. I look forward to ordering the tiramisu every time and I haven't been able to in months because they never have it. This is one of my go to places when I do eat out here and I'm happy with getting the same dishes over and over because they are good but I am interested and excited to see what else they add to the menu in the future!!

Now my concern has changed.... I'm concerned that so many of us are missing out on this amazing place! The margaritas are some of the best I've had, definitely a home made mix, and the top off of "holy water" is pretty awesome. The wine selection is impressive and the owner is very well versed in wines, I'd call him an unofficial sommelier. The food was so delicious, the chicken verde enchiladas were perfect and the salsa was spicy but so flavorful. So many times anything with heat is spicy and bland but not this. I even got chips and they were thin, crispy and perfect. Everyone was so attentive and wanted to make sure that everyone completely enjoyed their dish and drink. I had two delicious margaritas and am not a cheap date and I was feeling it, which was nice... a slight euphoric/buzzed feeling that is hard time come by most of the time. It's definitely not Tex mex. You aren't getting the typical "Mexican rice" anything but man it is better. The owner reminds me of a kind dad/grandpa. The kind of guy that is just fun to be around, his staff equally friendly. This place is one of the few family owned restaurants that are truly welcoming and family owned. Give them a try. Last night I finally brought my husband to try it after hyping it up for so long, and unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. Things have definitely changed. I was really looking forward to the chicken fried chicken, only to find out they were completely out of mashed potatoes. For a place known for chicken, that was surprising. So I ended up just sharing some of my husband's meal and our appetizer. The cornbread has always been something I rave about, especially with their hot honey. This time it came out dry, and the hot honey had no heat at all. It just was not the same. My husband's fried chicken was honestly the worst part. It was burnt, with a layer of black under the breading, and tasted like it had been overcooked to the point of being charred. There is no way the kitchen did not see how dark it was before serving it. That said, his sides were still great, so at least part of the meal was enjoyable. Our friend's chicken sandwich was not terrible, but it did not taste fresh like it used to. It felt more like something frozen and heavily breaded instead of the quality we had experienced before. One positive was the service. Our server was wonderful, and the rest of the staff was kind and attentive as well. I accidentally spilled my drink right after it arrived, and they were quick and gracious to replace it even though it was completely my fault. That was very much appreciated. The other issue that really took away from the experience was the atmosphere. Halfway through our meal, a large group of adults sat in the courtyard and had their children sit separately at a table right next to us, while their parents remained in another section of the patio. The kids were clearly having fun and playing games, which is great, but they were also very loud and screaming just a foot away from our table while their parents enjoyed quiet drinks elsewhere. There were completely open sections of the patio farther away where they could have sat, so it was frustrating that they were placed right next to the only other table of adults trying to enjoy a night out. It ended up being very disruptive and took away from what we had hoped would be a relaxing evening. Overall, I was really disappointed. This used to be a place I highly recommended, but after this visit it feels like the quality and attention to detail have slipped. I truly hope they can get back to what made them so great before.
