This diner was really cute and nice and the service was phenomenal. But the food was okay. It tasted good but nothing spectacular. When I got the bill my jaw dropped. $51 for 3 breakfast plates. One of which was just a waffle by itself. $12 for a waffle is crazy... I did see the prices so yea, I could have gotten up and left. I just didn't expect a hole in the wall diner to be so pricey. I tipped the wait staff well because they were amazing. I just can't pay $15 a plate (again) for pancakes and eggs. read more

First dining here. Pretty busy for a Saturday around 9:30, but no wait. Ordered coffee and water to start. Coffee was ok but now worth the cost. Mugs are small and it was not refilled but once. They do however have regular creamer and French vanilla international delight. Ordered a cinnamon roll for an appetizer, had to try it. It was warm and icing was kinda thin. Waitress said it was big, but not sure it was worth $4.47. I ordered the two egg platter with hash browns, bacon, and toast. Food was good hash browns were more of a mash. Waitress was ok but as I mentioned earlier she didn't check on my table much. Other item order was the chicken fried steak. I tried it and it was pretty good even though I am not a huge fan of that. Breading was just right, not too think and not too thin. Restaurant and bathrooms were really clean. No masks were worn by anyone in the place. So if your scared of germs don't go here. It's a very small space and absolutely no social distancing. Also if you don't pay cash you pay the fee for using a card. It's shown in my receipt attached. Food was delicious and the portions are large but the restaurant itself needs something to help with the echos. There was a large party celebrating something only a couple tables away from us who were shouting and laughing but it was so loud and the noise carried right over to our table we ate and left as quick as we could. read more

Gravy: smooth and dark, great onion flavor Coffee: great fair trade house blend; they sell by lb $15 Black eyed peas: outstanding Atmosphere: relaxing, spacious, welcoming. Service: very friendly server. I was told their breakfast is great as well as their seafood at night. My family of 5 was absolutely starving for breakfast yesterday. The welcoming staff was great- but the waiter we had was very inattentive - we had to get our own straws for water and so did the customers next to us - she was waiting on them too. Then we had to flag someone else for coffee refill - not to mention - I get she may have been vaccinated but my goodness she was talking over our drinks and leaning in over the table. Ugh can I get a little space. Ok now for the food - my daughter had the spinach omelette and it was still a little slimy on the inside and the spinach wasn't even cooked. The sausage didn't have great flavor either. Waffles just bland and so were the potatoes and I had to season with A LOT of salt and peeper. Very pretentious eatery. While the food was ok and service was good, I expected more in the quality of food for the money. I had eggs and ham, the ham was the processed kind not off the bone. I asked for rye toast and was told that there is an up charge because the rye bread cost more. I said ok but only got one piece of toast. The up charge was $1.25. That is a ripoff! And to top it off we were charged a fee for using a credit card. Need less to say we will not recommend this place. We will not be back. read more

We used to love this place when it was in Port A. My wife and I were really happy to see it reopen so close to home. The food was so bland it tasted like hospital food. They really need to add the spices back into their hash browns or offer a spicy version and hospital food tasting version so that one may choose. I would have paid extra for the spicier food. Our server was great. We got there late today around 2pm for lunch. The food has greatly improved since the last time I dined in. One of highlights is the waitress filled my glass with ice prior to refilling the tea. I can't stand it when servers refill glass with fresh brewed tea and no additional ice. Why this place has high rating is a mystery to me. The high ratings and location persuaded me to give it a try. First off the food, the eggs I received shared the same texture and look as "free hotel breakfast" eggs, they were extremely bland and watery. The biscuits were even worse, they had an extremely dense texture, no layers or fluff, just dense dough all the way through. I figured I could add some gravy and muscle them down, however the watery tasteless cold goo they call gravy was on par with the rest of their food. All in all a horrible execution of the simplest breakfast foods, but that's not all folks... the bill!!! $60 for 2 people???? Nothing crazy was ordered, just the usual eggs, bacon, and biscuits. I wouldn't pay $5 for this meal let alone $60. Absolutely outrageous prices for shit food. If anyone wants a better breakfast experience visit Fork and Spoon, they're cheaper and leagues better than this dump. People flock to Fork and Spoon, while this place remains a ghost town and for good reason. read more

Customer Service needs help. I ordered a shrimp omelette and got fake crap which I hate. Called to inform them of their mistake and the lady wanted to argue telling me it was shrimp lol. Weird! I heard from my mom that this place was good so I went in with some expectation and it exceeded any expectation I had. I've had the fried shrimp poboy and a cheeseburger. The shrimp are fantastic and the fries are equally good. The cole slaw and hush puppies are awesome and I will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
