Limited seating (3 booths, 4 seats at bar and some outside tables with a second dining room a with a few tables) Outside likely not much fun as it's right on the round about. Serves beer and wine if you choose with 11 beer taps with different offerings. Food came out quickly. (Burger and Fries) Great seasoning on both. I ordered the Ham and Cheese croissant. The best part of this croissant was that it was served warm, the cheese and that it had thick ham in it. The croissant was a bit too dry and a lot of seasoning on it. I also ordered the Carmel Monkey Coffee. This coffee is delicious if you are looking for something just a tad sweet and a nice little foam on top. The service was great and cute little place outdoors to enjoy the weather. This was a welcomed find when arriving in New Braunfels. We were going to check out the farmers market but wanted a bite to eat and a cup of coffee or two before going. There is indoor and outdoor seating at Crosswalk Coffeehouse & Cafe. There was a short line when we got there but they helped people quickly and we were able to find a table outside to sit at. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and my hubby got a cinnamon roll. The guy behind the counter didn't put it on a plate but instead put it in a paper bag, that was kinda weird since he knew were going to eat there...but ok, my husband didn't seem to mind. Food was good. Coffee was delicious. There was also a dispenser of cold water free to customer set up inside by the coffee fixings. Hubby and I ordered Breakfast Bowls and Lattes, and were pleased with both. You get plenty of food in the Breakfast Bowl. We ordered additional items, but didn't need them. I would have preferred bacon strips to the crumbled bacon product used. The coffee was nice - hot and flavorful. The atmosphere is cozy, and even on a cold day, we were comfortable with the temperature inside. However, there is only one bathroom, so you may have to wait. Walked in with my sister and our two newborns . We were instantly greeted and told us we could sit at the booth. We originally wanted breakfast because my sister loves the lox but we missed it by 10 minutes. We settled on the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and OMG it was so good. I'm still thinking about this sandwich and it's already been two weeks. The bread is soft, the chicken is perfectly fried and it was the perfect amount of messy. The chips on the side was also very good. I really enjoy the inside and outside seating. The restaurant was clean and restroom had a changing table which is a plus being a new mom. read more

Loved our cappuccinos and Cuban sandwich. Like the outside tables. I would have loved the cappuccino to have been served in a actual cappuccino cup, instead of paper when dining in. I have gotten the breakfast tacos twice and they cook to perfection! I get potato, black bean, grilled onion, & peppers. Delicious! For me it's always a debate on getting drip coffee or americanos, but their house coffee is pretty darn good, so I still haven't even tried the americanos. Best patio for coffee in town. Great food and drinks...wish the staff was friendlier. That's all this place is missing. 2 out of 6 will actually greet you and appreciate you stopping by. There are a couple of servers that seem to hate working there or should not be working in the service industry. They glare while watching you sign the tip on the tablet(I always feel compelled to tip well, but they don't deserve it). On the Grind, Gruene coffee Haus, and Kora Kora have the best, friendliest, most welcoming servers. Crosswalk should take notes. read more

I used to really like this place but the QR code system is not it. We went in for brunch today, and ordered coffee, a breakfast sandwich meal and a croissant (all through the QR code system on the phone.) We sat down at a table on the patio. So my husband's meal comes out before our coffee. Okay, whatever. We wait a bit, still no coffee, he gets hungry and starts eating. He's halfway done by the time we get drinks and I still don't have my food. An employee asks if everything came out okay, and I tell him we didn't get my food yet, he says he will check on it and come back. He does not return and I wait about 10 more minutes, during which husband has finished his food. At this point I get up and go inside to tell a different employee that I'm still waiting on my food, which he then makes and give me at the cashier stand. Alright kinda annoying, but no biggie. So then I'm trying to close my tab, and the phone system is not working whatsoever. A 3rd employee walks by now, asks if we are doing okay, so I tell him the QR code system isn't allowing us to close our check. He says the system must be down, and he will come back with our check. We wait a while, and he does not come back. I eventually get up and go inside to the cashier stand for the 2nd time, and wait for another 10 minutes in the to-go line just to pay my bill and leave. Look I like this place but I don't think I'll be returning until this system has been worked out. I kept thinking how nice it would be if there were just 1 employee who knew what we ordered and would continually come back to our table to check if we needed something, like say, a server. But the atmosphere is nice and the food and coffee were good. read more

I hosted a geocaching event here for a few nerds and we were well taken care of. David was highly attentive to us. Everyone got what they needed. Crosswalk Coffeehouse has the best coffee in town; however, their employees are very rude & not customer friendly. I believe it is due to the owners who exhibit this characteristic and pass it on to their employees. Small businesses must learn how to meet & exceed customer expectations. If I could give this establishment negative stars I would. Today on Christmas Eve, me and three of my favorite girlfriends met here for coffee, mimosas and food. For an hour we laughed, cut up and were really enjoying each others company. We were asked by an employee, Steve, to keep it down and be quiet. He then proceeded to tell us that our laugher was keeping customers from coming inside. We were the only customers sitting inside. We were mortified and extremely saddened by his comments. As we headed outside to leave he followed us and told us we were banned for life from ever coming back. I had also just gotten back from a European vacation as well so I had a hankerin' for an Americano (espresso with added water) and a croissant. Parking was a little tricky but not too bad. They don't have a parking lot (that I'm aware of) so I just found street parking less than a minute away. Walked in and it has an excellent rustic feel. Coffee house music playing and nice booths, tables and chairs. You order at the counter and they bring you your order where you sit. My Americano had a little too much water for me; although this might be due to me having gotten used to these in Europe. I ordered a ham, egg and cheese with mayo (no tomato!) croissant. They toasted the croissant a little too much (again my humble opinion) but holy cow the taste of that sandwich was incredible! The mayo they use was super good (homemade maybe?) and the ham was thick and tasty as well. I for sure say kudos on quality ingredients! I love this place! I come here frequently after work and sit on the patio to study. I've had many versions of lattes, never once disappointed. They have many flavors and add ins to choose from. The most recent one I tried was a blackberry vanilla latte, and I was surprised at how much I liked it. I also regularly get their green smoothie! The place is located in a fantastic old building on the downtown roundabout next to, and not to be confused with, another coffee shop on the corner. There is a deli-type menu, with sandwiches and soups and salads, or a combo of all. You order at the counter then have a seat and someone brings you your food, pretty quickly I might add. The food was fresh and delicious. I ordered the hot veggie sandwich that came on a wheat sub bun or pita bread. The veggies were fresh and delicious and there was a generous amount of them. The sandwich also came with a side of Miss Vicks chips, my choice flavor. Prices are reasonable, I think my sandwich was in the mid-range, $8. There's outside seating available, but not much, and the interior is pretty small. Great ambiance and I would come here again. read more

They used to be great, but it's been a year or more since they changed their system, changed their menu, changed the way they serve people. It was a place with great food, drinks, and people, but now it feels unwelcoming and streamlined (and not streamlined in a good or useful way). In the past I recommended this place to everyone, but now I steer them somewhere else if they want to enjoy brunch, coffee, or a cafe meal. read more
