This was a welcomed find when arriving in New Braunfels. We were going to check out the farmers market but wanted a bite to eat and a cup of coffee or two before going. There is indoor and outdoor seating at Crosswalk Coffeehouse & Cafe. There was a short line when we got there but they helped people quickly and we were able to find a table outside to sit at. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and my hubby got a cinnamon roll. The guy behind the counter didn't put it on a plate but instead put it in a paper bag, that was kinda weird since he knew were going to eat there...but ok, my husband didn't seem to mind. Food was good. Coffee was delicious. There was also a dispenser of cold water free to customer set up inside by the coffee fixings. There is street parking and possibly a small parking lot behind the building. Great spot!

Hubby and I ordered Breakfast Bowls and Lattes, and were pleased with both. You get plenty of food in the Breakfast Bowl. We ordered additional items, but didn't need them. I would have preferred bacon strips to the crumbled bacon product used. The coffee was nice - hot and flavorful. The atmosphere is cozy, and even on a cold day, we were comfortable with the temperature inside. However, there is only one bathroom, so you may have to wait. We will definitely go back when we're in New Braunfels. I think you should try it!

Loved our cappuccinos and Cuban sandwich. Like the outside tables. I would have loved the cappuccino to have been served in a actual cappuccino cup, instead of paper when dining in. Great for breakfast and lunch not sure about dinner. I think the dinner menu could be a little better dinner options but I'll give it a try.

We stopped there for a cup of coffee. It was much better than Starbucks. They have outdoor seating that is nice.

The NOLA was so good. There is a good amount of outdoor seating. I would totally come here again.

Best patio for coffee in town. Great food and drinks...wish the staff was friendlier. That's all this place is missing. 2 out of 6 will actually greet you and appreciate you stopping by. There are a couple of servers that seem to hate working there or should not be working in the service industry. They glare while watching you sign the tip on the tablet(I always feel compelled to tip well, but they don't deserve it). On the Grind, Gruene coffee Haus, and Kora Kora have the best, friendliest, most welcoming servers. Crosswalk should take notes.

This was an amazing delight. We had the bagel and lox, along with the Cuban sandwich with a side of tomato soup. I would swear the taste of the Cuban sandwich felt every bit authentic. The lox tasted fresh as can possibly be. I would totally come back from CA for this.

Cute place for a coffee or beer. There's a nice selection of kolaches and baked goods. Outdoor seating is great in the summer. Recommended.

We love going to crosswalk! The patio is amazing and the food is delicious. The family that owns it is the sweetest. Highly recommend!

The indoor pool house area with the bar and seating space was a really nice touch, and the views of the river were beautiful. There's also a large pool and a great splash pad-style area for kids, which makes it perfect for families. It's conveniently located not too far from downtown New Braunfels, but still gives you that quiet, quaint, bucolic getaway feel. Definitely a place we would stay at again.

And I'll say right up front, the food was very good. From a short stack of pancakes (still huge) with a side of sausage links to the avocado toast with eggs and a side of bacon, the food was very good quality and flavor. What was disappointing was that the service was lacking. The hostess wasn't busy as we walked in but seemed preoccupied with wiping menus instead of acknowledging our party. We finally said "hello" and then were acknowledged and seated but no real greeting or enthusiasm. Similar behavior from our waitress. No niceties, just "do you want something to drink". When our coffee was delivered we asked for water and they were promptly delivered without any words but no straws. Maybe water isn't automatic here and maybe straws aren't either? Later, I flagged down the waitress to ask for straws and we got 4 straws --- for 2 persons ... ok. Again the food was great but my coffee cup sat empty from early on, needing a refill and I finally had to ask for it. I hope this isn't the norm.. and it wasn't terrible, but for such good food, you'd hope the service would match.

Their front cases were completely empty. Not one item and the store was not busy with customers. We were told they didn't have any right now. We drove in specifically for several items and couldn't really even get information about the product we were wanting. This is the week before Christmas, so I would think planning ahead would be beneficial. The lady at the counter could not tell us when they would have more but asked us if we wanted to wait for some? But couldn't tell us how long the wait would be... So clearly we're not waiting. We were going to order lunch there, but opted out. This place has such nostalgic reputation and has been in business since 1957 and I remember eating ham from here as a child in the 70s. It's sad to see one location ruin this reputation. And clearly from reading the yelp reviews this is not an isolated incident. And what makes it even worse is the customer service is nonexistent. No one cares or seems to know what is happening. And the overstock for the holiday season is not arranged well in the dining area/storefront to be conducive to any kind of dine in service or even safety for consumers. So we passed on lunch as well as previously mentioned... Annoying

This year for Mother's Day, my wife wanted to visit our oldest son and daughter in law up in New…read moreBraunfels. The plan was for the "kids" to go to the movies while she and I stayed at the house and babysat our adorable little 5 month old grandson. None of us wanted to be bothered with going out for dinner, and my wife doesn't like to do that on "special" days anyway because of the crowds. She decided I would go over to Jimmy John's and pick up. I went on the website and tried to have our order delivered since delivery was free that day with a special code. Even though my son's house is within two miles of the store, they don't deliver there. I called instead, but after being on the phone for about 15 minutes placing a huge order, the staff at the store couldn't set it up for delivery either. No biggie. I was just being lazy anyway. I told them I would pick up our order at 2:45. Like the old fart that I am, I arrived about ten minutes early. I told them what I was there to pick up, and one of the workers told me they were working on my order, and I should grab my cookies, chips, and drinks while I waited. She gave me a huge shopping bag and a drink holder to put them in. While I was finishing up with the drinks, the same young lady called me over and handed me another huge bag with our sandwiches at exactly 2:45! When I got back to the house, we all figured out whose sandwich was whose and sat down to eat. I was amazed that all 5 of the sandwiches were exactly what we ordered. I mean my clan has some picky folks. All but 1 of the subs was full of "hold the ????" and "add some ???". As we ate, we all talked about how good the sandwiches were. My son and daughter in law said that Jimmy Johns was their go to sandwich shop. I totally understand. I had the spicy east coast Italian. It was so loaded with meats that I could have taken half off and made another sandwich. Plus, they put some kind of mayonnaise or aioli on it that was dazzling! All of us had the barbecue flavor chips but my wife. who opted for regular. As far as I am concerned, that was her loss. These were the best kettle chips I have ever had. And, believe me, this fat man has eaten a lot of kettle chips! The oatmeal raisin cookies were also really good. I did not expect that. In my opinion most prefab individually wrapped baked goods are usually only so-so. Now, I have to figure out where my local Jimmy John's is here in San Antonio and hope it is just as good. I don't want sandwiches all the time, but when the time comes, I want a good one like the one I ate in New Braunfels.

Paid for sandwich, waited an hour for my sandwich and when I called about it they told me they…read morecancelled the order...
