I saw a Cockatiel two days ago I wanted to purchase but was told I had to wait a few days becuase they just came in. I told the employee to set the one I wanted aside and left my number. I got a call from Christina a day later and was told it was ready for pickup. I went in the next day and it was sold. Christina was on her daay off and the majority of cockatiels were gone. I will never set foot in that store again! They should've sold me what I wanted the day I saw it! If they are to be quarantiened, don't fucking put them on the sales floor! read more

Never had an issue with this store. I come here all the time to get pet supplies, and everyone has been helpful the majority of the time. I appreacite recommendations made by the employees however, if someone (me) went in to buy something specifically and asks to see if there is any back stock (because obviously I want to purchase it) don't be rude and try to shush the customer away by telling them not to buy it. I'm going to make a huge assumption that they wanted me out of the store because they were closing in 10 minutes. Trust me, I understand they wanted to go home, but they need to understand I wanted to spend my money at their store, and that its NOT okay to give mediocre service just because they want to go home. Point of my review is: if you want great customer service don't go right before they are closing because you will be rushed out. read more

My realtor mentioned that this place might have the pine pellets I use as cat litter to help shave costs because most places offer 40# bags of pine pellets for around $6 - 7. I'm new to Long Beach and in Seattle we always had Del's near work. I've been helped right away by the staff both times I've come here though neither of the men were very friendly, so I'm not sure how others got great service. But that's neither here nor there since I'm there for the goods. I made it here a second time, only because it's the closest place to my home and traffic being what it is makes it a tough call when you start considering tractor supply stores out in the sticks. Each time I requested pine pellets I got a different brand so I guess you get what they have in stock that day. The bag I just picked up was kind of mashed, too, suggesting it's been sitting under other bags for a time. What loses most of the stars in my review is the sticker shock I got when I paid for the first time: ~$18 including tax per bag. Fortunately, I've located some places that aren't 30 plus miles from home so I'll be giving them a try next time. I'm sure they shine in other aspects as the reviews suggest, but unfortunately, what brought me here is the only item I use from feed and livestock stores. read more

We come here ever so often to buy hard to find things we might need & they seem to carry what ever it is we need. We bring the kids & they have a blast looking at all the different animals they have there. We also go & get shots at the clinic they have show up on Sundays which is a big help with a busy life going on. read more

Pretty expensive and they don't have the variety or the quality you would expect. We were looking for a few different things, one of which was bedding or straw for animals. They were extremely expensive and it was full of seeds. Don't use it in your garden, if you have extra. Leashes were much more expensive and not mad very well. Not real impressed. read more

We had purchased a couple chicks here a few years back and had a pleasant experience. However today was not pleasant at all. We drove quite a while in the pouring rain because we were told they had Lion head bunnies. I had called a couple times for info but the young man who answered was not knowledgeable and didn't seem too willing to find out. So we decided to drive there. On arrival after driving quite a while we asked if my son could use the restroom. They refused. So the whole time we were trying to shop he had to hold it, as there's nothing much else around that would have a public restroom and it was storming outside. Secondly the girl who was "helping" us Samantha, was not very helpful at all. We have heard that adopting a rabbit isn't something to take lightly as they need a lot of care. So of course we had questions. My questions were answered in an unfriendly manner, in a tone like she was too busy to help, even asking me if I'd like to sleep on the decisions, 5 minutes into the conversation . I would understand if the shop was busy but we were literally the only customers there, and I saw at least 3 other employees hanging around. I don't know if this is Samantha's demeanor, but she treated my questions as a bother. We were hoping to bring one home today but we left feeling discouraged and not informed and honestly put off by the lack of decent customers service. We will not return nor recommend this place again, strictly because of the employees behavior. read more

I went in to buy vet wrap because Bellflower feed was out,didn't see it and asked about it, found it rather odd the staff didn't know what I was talking about until I said you know the stuff you use on horse ankles. While they carry horse stuff the really cater more towards smaller animals and birds. read more

This place has a rustic vibe to it and has a wide variety of pet needs. They had lots of different bids to purchase like chickens that were just chicks and full grown ones. They also had full grown ducks you can buy. They had bunnies and Guinea pigs you can buy. They had a lot of more natural made dog treats and many different kind of housing for a wide variety of pets. They even had a selection of old school soda you can purchase. If you want to get some cool interesting treats for your dog this is definitely the place. Or just look at cute birds. read more

I really wish I could give a better review, but after several poor experiences-- it's share time. First and foremost, I do like the variety of feed I can get for my animals here and I have made the drive all the way from North Orange County several times to get my feed. However, I've since found other places, who are a lot cheaper and provide me with far better customer service. If you are looking for good customer service, then skip this place. The girls at the front register are horrible, unfriendly and just plan rude. They are never helpful and like to not answer your questions. For example, I really wanted to purchase one of the rabbits, there was no sign for cost on the cage and when I asked how much it was, her response was, "It's not for sale" well not duh, there was no price, which I learned that if there is no price sign it means they are not actually selling the animal. So, I told her I understood that, but when it's available for sale, how much will it be? She rolled her eyes and gave me a price. This happened not once, twice but three times for variety of animals I wanted to purchase. My most recent experience was that I called asked if they knew of places or people who might be interested in helping me re-home 2 roosters. I was told, no and to call stores in Temecula-- no specific places. It was like my question wasn't worth her time. Hopefully the front counter girls can get their act together and be a little more helpful and nice to the customers. read more

I found my new supply store, this place is like Knott's Berry Farm on acid. I love the 70's style who cares if I get attacked by wild farm animals running loose in the store. I love the smell of goat farts and rabbit vomit. This place is cool, and for sure the prices are scary cheap. You can save a shit load of money shopping here if you can brave it. The staff is great, super friendly, this one guy behind the counter offered to trim my rabbits finger nails for free and I don't even own a rabbit. They have toys and crazy amounts of food you can shovel into a bag yourself for you pets. I think they have a petting zoo in the back, at least it looked like it to me. I didn't see any "employee only" signs. I didn't even see any restrooms, I think if you have to go just shit on the floor or piss in a cage, I think its all good as long as nobody sees you. All of the baby.chicks and the rest of the animals are healthy and thriving. I buy the h kruse organic feed fir my chickens and they have competitive prices. I love the variety of the products and the novelty of it all, old barnyard with chickens, rabbits and etc. I did have to remove 1 star because the customer service has gone down hill, no friendliness at all. Now its a bunch of teenagers running the place that looks like they could give a #$it. Excuse my language. On my last weekend visit I spent close to $100 here. I've bought rabbits, hutches and sorts in the past. I spend lots of $ here but the attitude they throw me and the could care less attitude really makes me wonder if I should be taking my business elsewhere. My first experience here was with Christine, I needed help becoming a new backyard chicken mom, She was great but I wasn't ready to buy yet. When I returned on a weekend day ready to load up with everything I needed including baby chicks, I asked what I thought was a girl who could help grabbing all that was needed, well I've never been treated in such a way at ANY bus. Dark hair and a nose ring she walked away from me and went to cashiers and what seemed like she had negative comments about me she never returned and sent another employee to me with a small paper bag with holes in it. I think all the accessories would come first, wouldn't you? So I went to an amazing feed store in Orange and was super happy with all I toke home! This is one of my favorite places to visit. I stock up on my rabbit supplies because this place is far from where I live. So it's always a joy to come back every 4 months or so. There are always new baby animals to ooo & awww over. The price I pay for my rabbit's hay, litter, pellets and toys doesn't even compare to the big chain pet stores. Their prices are unbelievable! Plus the employees really care about your pet and they take the time to show you & explain their products. They are knowledgeable and helped me understand that buying in bulk really does save. Well this place has a variety of birds like quail's, dove's, duck's, chicken's, etc. and also rabbits. Customer service here is great, they wont leave you hanging without assisting you. This place is great. I have a rabbit, and places like Petco and Petsmart really only cater to dogs and cats. Blacksmith's Corner has a large selection of rabbit supplies and really CHEAP food. I bought pellets and hay by the pound and got a few months supply for under $20. They also seem to have constantly running sales on different items. (I got a big rabbit cage for $40!) Also, this place is just really fun to visit because its really silly, complete with animals, creepy cowboy mannequin and hay smell. read more

This feed store is kinda far from my house but worth the drive just to check them out. It's a big store, a lot of square footage and a lot of supplies and animals to choose from. They also have garden decor, food for just about any critter, pet supplies and a variety of doves, finches, quails & chicks to choose from. They had several brands to choose from, but not a wide selection for each brand (ie. different types of meats, weight management, large breed, puppy, etc).
