Ok so I'm from queens and we have banging bagel places so understand this review is coming from someone that knows a good quality bagel. My girlfriend and I were heading out to the wineries and wanted some food before we got there to absorb some of our drinking. We stumbled upon this spot by chance and we were not disappointed at all. Labor Day weekend, 1220pm, this place was busy, always a good sign right. Options galore, signs of everything fresh made in house, im glad we stopped although I hate lines. The interior has those chalk board displays and it's take out with a few tables. A normal bagel spot for sure. I got a flat bagel whole wheat sesame and this thing was made PERFECTLY!!! Flat and wide and soft to the bite and just fresh AF!!!! Boars head turkey, lettuce, tomato, mustard, Mayo all portioned to satisfied any appetite. My gf got the southhold wrap, plenty spicy and stuffed to capacity, dripping with hot sauce if you like spice go for this. We had our dog, Kilo, with us and we got him some diced watermelon they had in the fridge. I'd recommend this place over and over again. read more

Delicious!!!! Every few months when we drive out for our trip to Southold, we make it a point to stop at Black Sheep bagels. Whether it's the one in Riverhead or the one in Cutchogue, The Bagels are delicious. As well as their lunch sandwich specials. the Montauk is my absolute favorite.. We have been coming here since it opened and have had nothing but exceptional service with overwhelmingly delicious food everytime. we will continue to stop in on our trips to the north fork. read more

Ordered as a group yesterday. The bagels were good but ordered the Southampton hero. Asked for no Peter Luger sauce or tomato, when we received the sandwich it was clear they put the sauce on the hero and attempted to then scrape it off. The whole sandwich tasted like the sauce and it went in the garbage. Would it have been so hard to just get a new hero that did t have sauce on it? read more

Great bagels and friendly staff. The pace gets very busy I suggest ordering ahead if possible. It gets very crowded to the point where some people walked out waiting for their order to be made. From what it looks like, whoever takes your order, makes it, and rings you up. I think they need a better system. Otherwise, delicious place. Black sheep bagel is great. It's a grab and go spot with picnic tables next to the parking lot. I'm happy that they have food other than bagels like açaí bowls (delicious by the way). On the weekend expect a bit of a line but it's worth the wait. read more

Now called Black Sheep Bagels - it's still definitely the best bagel, breakfast sandwich and lunch spot for a quick bite, good food and awesome iced coffee! Staff is always friendly and willing to serve. It does get busy at times but the staff has the ability to knock out orders in no time. Definitely have to stop in and try this place out! read more

Anyone in the area knows that goldbergs makes pretty good bagels, this place however always puts cheese on my bacon and egg sandwich, I have a dairy allergy so I can't have cheese, I make that pretty clear when I order and yet 2/3 times I have to go back bc they put cheese on it. The Jamesport Goldberg's is by far my favorite because it almost seems like nobody else knows it's there. It's much more open than the Mattituck location and I've never had to wait. They know the perfect amount of cream cheese to use when you ask for "just a little." Someday, I'll have to try an açaí bowl or one of their breakfast sandwiches because it all looks amazing, but I'm usually just running in for a bagel on my way to work. read more

There are more than 1 Goldberg, in fact there are several, but the location at Jamesport is bar none the very best! Beyond the bagels and sandwiches being absolutely amazing, the staff is caring and kind and really diligent about getting everything correct. Hands down the best part, however, is Carol-Ann. She makes daily pastries and hot home made food that you wish your mom would make as well! (And I'm talking personally being a mom myself). A few favs of ours are: the bagels, chocolate macaroons, walnut caramel brownies, all of her soups and chili. Go try for yourself, you'll be happy you did! read more

I have been buying bagels for two years four to five times weekly, I usually get Cinnamon raisin. During that same time frame I also get a special just for my bagel, a plain bagel with one thin slice of lox's, a thin slice of onion and a thin smurtch of cream cheese. For two years the staff charged me $7.50, a little steep but the way I like it. Recently some of the staff changed, I asked fro my just for me bagel. I handed the clerk $10 expecting $2.50 change but the clerk said that is $12.85 - $5.35 more then I had been charged been for two years. I did lightly argue not wanting to create a scene and left quite angry I never go out the door with less than $1 tip, even on the day of this happening I left my usual knowing the other workers should not lose out. I have not been in since that was three weeks back, telling of what happened to a group of friends at the post office I was prodded into posting here. They asked if some of the older staff stepped in to back my claim, sadly not but who knows maybe the new individual was a company person. I am well known in my area and will continue to talk down on Goldberg's! read more
