Everything egg bagel with sausage baca on egg and cheese. With salt, pepper, ketchup.

Great bagels and friendly staff. The pace gets very busy I suggest ordering ahead if possible. It gets very crowded to the point where some people walked out waiting for their order to be made. From what it looks like, whoever takes your order, makes it, and rings you up. I think they need a better system. Otherwise, delicious place. I had the everything egg bagel with sausage, bacon, egg and cheese!

Black sheep bagel is great. It's a grab and go spot with picnic tables next to the parking lot. I'm happy that they have food other than bagels like açaí bowls (delicious by the way). On the weekend expect a bit of a line but it's worth the wait.

Now called Black Sheep Bagels - it's still definitely the best bagel, breakfast sandwich and lunch spot for a quick bite, good food and awesome iced coffee! Staff is always friendly and willing to serve. It does get busy at times but the staff has the ability to knock out orders in no time. Definitely have to stop in and try this place out!

Anyone in the area knows that goldbergs makes pretty good bagels, this place however always puts cheese on my bacon and egg sandwich, I have a dairy allergy so I can't have cheese, I make that pretty clear when I order and yet 2/3 times I have to go back bc they put cheese on it. Frustrating and pretty expensive.

Order completely wrong I'm missing half my sandwich this is not everything I ordered and paid for, I feel like they just made whatever they wanted to and gave it to me. I order a cold refreshing sandwich and received what I would describe as a roast beef burger

Awful ... This was by far the worst bagel I've ever had. I could Hardly bite into it and rip a piece off . So overdone and burned. If tastes that way as well . I'm mad because I really was craving a bagel ... And normally I'm not a big critic on bagels they're usually all pretty good but this is inedible

    Yum!

On our way out on the east end, I spied this coffee shop and vowed to hit it up on my way home. I asked the barista about the brown sugar cinnamon special and she said it was very popular. They do upcharge for milk subs still here, sigh, this end of the island I guess to be expected but this coffee was absolutely delicious. I also grabbed three chocolate chip cookies for the kids, who gobbled them up and didn't save me nary a bite. While I can't speak to the cookies personally, I'll take the crumbs as a sign that they were excellent. The location itself is bright, clean and spacious with ample parking and clean bathrooms. I think I might have to take another long drive for the coffee and farms before fall is up. They even have a container of milk bone treats for your pup which my daughter was super excited to bring home to our dog. How sweet! Thanks Hampton Coffee!

I really do take far too many photos, but it's helpful because then I remember there are spots I may have forgotten to write up like Macchiato Espresso Bar. I visited this cute Mattituck location back in late August and the results were pretty tasty. You see my wife and I were looking for some coffee and a place that's different than what we've often found on the North Fork and so MEB popped up as an option. Not a ton of reviews were posted, but from the ones on Yelp (and dare I say Google too) made it seem worthy of stopping. The worthiness is definitely there because Macchiato has a nice array of coffee options as well as pastries and more elaborate edibles (sandwiches, salads, etc.). You can find everything on their menus though you won't find too much else inside as the place is definitely small. A couple of tables, some fridge drinks and pre-maid foods, and an area of swag and other items is the entirety of the interior so don't expect any true cozy feels. But hey, you can't drink cozy (well maybe in the Fall/Winter), and so let's turn our attention back to the name of this place and focus on coffee. I went with an iced latte with vanilla while my wife tried the iced chocolate (as it was written on the menu). For me, I liked mine. Nothing negative to necessarily say about it as it had a good coffee kick, but when my wife felt like hers was a little too heavy in the bitter bang before the chocolate took over, I decided for us to switch drinks as I thought the iced chocolate was delightful (I do like my coffee a little stronger). Before finishing up, I do want to mention that we were a bit hungry and so one of the chocolate croissants in the display case made its way into our possession. The funny interaction my wife had with the friendly staff member ("Is that a chocolate croissant?" "You know it is!") added to our excitement and oh did it pay off as it tasted delicious. Overall, Macchiato Espresso Bar had a lot to like. Perhaps they're a little small, but they pack some good coffee and pastry/food choices in an area that really doesn't have a ton of options. I'd definitely return another time when out east and in search of my morning cup of joe along with a desire for a bite to eat. And with that I can now post some very belated pics with this review so the CMs stay off my back!

My only disappointment is that they only serve breakfast and lunch, and not dinner. It is a culinary teaching program, and they have limited hours. Their Spring 2025 semester is closing soon on May 15, 2025. It is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 3 P.M. Breakfast is served from 8:30 am to 10:30 am Lunch from 9 am to 2 pm. Twenty-four of us had our monthly luncheon there in April. Everyone raved about their order, and many have been back since bringing their friends. Downtown Riverhead is welcoming to shoppers with ample free municipal parking and increased security. The facility is accessible through the rear door adjacent to the Municipal lot behind 20 Main Street. Our group asked to come back in May. The staff is friendly, the food terrific, and the facility clean. If you walk towards the rear entrance, you will see students working with their teachers. The entire kitchen is on view. Once you place your order, you can wait in the adjacent room looking over Main Street. Staff will bring your order to your table. I failed to mention their selection of desserts and gelato. Not all cakes are available daily since the students learn to bake specific cakes as part of the curriculum. They make a flourless chocolate cake, which is amazing. Their days of operation follow the schedule of Suffolk County Community College.

Our server came over and told us that two of the items on the chalkboard - including one we had planned to order - had been sold out already. This was at 6 pm on a weekend night. So we went back to looking at the menu. Within seconds, our server showed up again - the steak had been 86ed. We went back to looking at the menu. Our server returned to our table a couple of minutes later and told us how he liked to rank the restaurant's dishes, then telling us about his top three in minute detail. We were pretty sure what we wanted at this point. But our server came back one more time to tell us that the salad from the specials menu - again, a dish we planned to order - was gone. At this point I began to wonder if we would be allowed to pick our own food for the meal. Anyway, we settled on another dish and beckoned our server over for his fourth (and first invited) visit to our table. We ordered. The food came in a reasonable amount of time. The pasta and pizza were good, the salad dressed with something a bit too acidic. We ate, paid, and left, still somewhat in disbelief. Maybe if this place had fewer items on the menu, they'd be able to stock more ingredients for each one. As things stand, it's a rather frustrating venue (albeit one with a clearly devoted following). P.S. The noise level in the restaurant is high - we were practically shouting to hear each other at various points during our dinner.
