Goodness after his 5K!
Arin A.

Ohhh I love me some Black Rock! The staff is always super friendly and love the rewards program. It seems like I have a free coffee many times or I just spend way more than I would like to admit. The menu is full of tasty treats and I used to be a plain vanilla latte girl until one of the staff introduced me to the blended drinks. If you have not given one a try, YOU MUST. The caramel blondie, half sweek is my new go to jam. Each Black Rock I visit has the same vibe with consistent drinks that are not swayed by the different locations on how to make them. Make sure to check out the sweet treats and if you love Spinach give the everything spinach croissant a try.

Came here in the morning to work for an hour. It was around 7am and the staff were friendly and the store felt fresh. I ordered a hazelnut iced coffee. The coffee tasted great, as always! The morning sun was such a vibe and I had a great relaxing work time.

Yummy, strong iced coffee! Great flavors on a small menu. Industrial modern interior . I got the iced caramel truffle (chocolate mocha) with almond milk. I would say if you don't like strong coffee (like me), get a creamier milk option. I'm lactose intolerant and was happy to see the milk alternative options, but I should have gotten soy. I will try again on our next trip to AZ.

Always drove by this location while shopping at Trader Joe's. Today got a chance to get some coffee. We went with blackout and caramel blondie. We picked half sweet and hot. The drive through was quick and the coffee arrived hot. Glad we picked half sweetened coz it was good, the syrup makes it way too sweet making it almost like a dessert. Blackout had hazelnut flavor and liked it better than caramel blondie. Overall a good location and options to pick from.

This place was recommended and I'm absolutely I went. I was very impressed with the service and the atmosphere was great. But the coffee was on another level of GREAT! Carmel Truffle is AMAZING! I have been two days in a row and tomorrow will be three! As a matter of fact I may go back later today! Highly recommend you try this place.

We had no problems with this Black Rock location. We walked in to order - the drive thru seemed very long with tons of cars. Walked in and there was nobody in line ahead of us. Only a few customers were inside waiting for their orders. Ordered strawberry smoothies and they were so good! The inside was clean, but this location also seemed smaller than other locations we have been to in the area.

Honey vanilla latte (special for Wednesday) trying something new.

Great new location. First time here. Good service. Friendly staff, clean and quick. February specials are pretty cool this month. Trying something new and different. Tasty. I'd recommend this location.

Do not like how they ask to tip the team. I think that's tacky and if it's optional they shouldn't ask.

Overall, meh! They offer complimentary wifi, a shelf of mission-branded merchandise and a menu of herbal teas and unique coffee drinks. Also a small assortment of pastry items. In addition to the regular entrance, they have a huge garage door access so on nicer days they can open up the seating area for fresh air and more of an outside but inside vibe. Staff were friendly barista hippie types but took a while for them to acknowledge us standing there even though there was no line. Ordered one hot tea and a seasonal coffee drink. Neither were great and their pricing is misleading. For example the seasonal drink was supposed to be $5.89 but was charged $7.65 and the tea was nothing more than a basic tealeaves in hot water. We didn't add any items to justify the upcharge but when I brought it to the cashiers attention she was unsure how to adjust the price or offer a refund unless we wanted loose change. SMH. If a Customer pays by Apple pay, they should be refunded or credited in the same way. Seems like a space intended for Co-working or digital nomad types as there were about 4 people with laptops and headphones sipping on drinks. Because of the ultra cool vibe, I'll definitely give them another chance to change my mind if I'm nearby but I think for what we ordered it wasn't a great price to value.

Service was quick and he made sure it was just right. It was also nice to chat about coffee with someone who really has a detailed taste for it as well. I normally don't write reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that I felt compelled to…read moresay something. I stopped in around 6:00 pm to get some work done before a cycling class. The first thing the cashier told me was that the espresso machines were already shut down and that only hot tea was available. I asked what time the shop closed, and he said 7:00 pm. Since I still had time, I decided to stay and purchased tea. After sitting down, I was told--due to construction--that they would be "locking up soon." I assumed this still meant 7:00 pm. I received my tea around 6:10 pm, and by 6:20 pm I was told they would be locking the doors and turning off the lights. At that point, it felt passive-aggressive and misleading. If I had been told upfront that the shop was closing early, I would not have ordered anything. I specifically asked what time you were closing, and that information was not communicated clearly until after I had already paid. Additionally, if the shop is supposedly open until 7:00 pm, it's confusing why the espresso machines were already turned off at 6:00 pm. As for the tea -- 2/10. I didn't even finish it. I'm sure the coffee may be good, but this is the first time I've been to a coffee shop where the espresso machine was shut down an hour before closing. Lastly, as a study space, it's very limited: only two tables with about eight chairs total. There are outlets, but not nearly enough to support people working. Overall, the lack of clear communication and the rushed, uncomfortable atmosphere made this a disappointing experience.

George and Gather has been high on my list to check out, since opening one year ago! I've heard…read morenothing but positive things about this place and now I understand why! There is a parking lot and indoor/outdoor seating. I love the decor and ambiance of this place, especially the lighting in the dining room. They have a separate area with a small shop and cafe with desserts and some grab and go items. I will be back to try a coffee! My friend and I came here for the pre-set restaurant week menu. I made a reservation the night before, but it wasn't too busy while we were there on a Tuesday at 530pm. Our server Allison was great and very attentive. For appetizers we tried the whipped goat cheese spread and wagyu meatballs. I thought the goat cheese spread was delicious! For entrees we choose the pasta pomodoro and the farmers market pizza which were both very tasty. The pizza had so much flavor l, especially the crust, and the texture of the pasta was perfect!! For dessert we tried the affogato and apricot cheesecake. Oh My Gosh that cheesecake was the BEST dessert I've had in a while!!!! You have to try it and I can't recommend it enough!!!! I can't wait to come back!!

After our visit I promptly removed this place from my bookmarks…read more Disappointing from the moment I spoke with the hostess. We had been put on a wait list shortly before I arrived. When I arrived and spoke with spouse he had already been waiting 20+ minutes. When I checked in with hostess to see if there had been any changes I was promptly schooled that "he was told "XYZ" and there's one table ahead of us still... I disregarded that vibe, figured because it was "busy" or because it was "Saturday evening" and everywhere is busy... I felt the senior hostess was curt when I inquired about the status of our wait, so I tried to brush it off. Just inefficient all the way around. From seating and neglecting to ask about seating preference (could there have been a shorter wait?), initial greeting by server, or was it a bus boy?, beverage order and wait for food. Couldn't even get a full glass of water poured or full carafe brought to the table while we waited for service. It was all very disappointing and I feel completely led astray by the ratings and reviews. I truly can not believe we waited 1 1/2 hrs just to be seated so we could eat pizza. Oh, but wait! It's pizza on 130 year old sourdough yeast?! Whatever. The pizza was alright, but the entire experience certainly didn't improve the taste of the pizza. Tourist trap? Maybe. Trendy? Because it's located in downtown Chandler? And then there's the parking scenario. If you're staying at the San Marcos or the other hotel downtown, walking here will be quicker than trying to find a parking spot. Carpool would be my other suggestion because parking really is a premium. And I want to add, the hostess never came to let us know a table was ready. We were only offered a table when my son went in to check the status. Only then did he get asked if we would be open to outdoor seating. Maybe Brunch has something more to offer. IDK. But I'm certainly not inclined to recommend or dine here again.
