    Italian Soda
    Holly C.

I'm currently sitting outside on Coffee Rush's patio. Music is playing and I'm drinking an amazing Italian soda with cream (peach passion fruit, if you're curious). My order came out to like $4. What a great drink for so little cost! The service was great as well, very friendly and the place is spotless. 10/10 would recommend!

The location is very welcoming: well lit, spacious, indoor and outdoor seating, feels homey due to the photographs. My friend and I were greeted immediately. We had three staff members telling us about our options, what is popular, and the stories behind the drink names. I'd definitely visit again. I can't wait to try the baklava and cupcakes. They have a huge drink menu and I'm exited to taste the other options. My friend loved the black and white. My deadly soda was good, too. Great team and a wonderful local coffee option!

Love the coffee and super cute inside! I have been here a few times and never had to wait super long. Staff is very friendly and the prices are competitive with others in the area. They have tons of options but I stuck with a flavored latte. I usually get it to go but there is plenty of seating if you wanted to sit and enjoy. Parking lot is big so no issues there. They also offer a digital punch card to add to your apple wallet for ease of use. Overall, cute place with great coffee. Highly recommend!!

    32 ounce iced americano

First time Coffee Rush customer this morning. Coming from a coffee lover - AMAZING! Customer service was fantastic. I ordered a 32 ounce iced americano with tiramisu flavor and cream. The espresso is smooth, not muddy tasting at all. Super large selection of flavors. Usually I stick to hazelnut or toffee nut. The tiramisu flavor was not overpowering what so ever. I will for sure be back! 10/10.

This place is amazing! They opened super early so I was able to get my families coffee orders at 530am. Zachary was so friendly and chipper. We had a great conversation as he made our drinks. They have unsweetened coconut milk as well, which is a Miracle! The shop was large, clean, and had lots of space to sit and relax. The drinks taste great. Support a local business and try it out!

Today's visit was awesome. Very nice baristas who made my peppermint tea! Nice person great customer service! Clean inside, cdc guidelines followed. Great selections of coffee tea and bakery products. Love the rewards and punch card. I'm glad I stopped by on a Sunday nice and relaxing. Love the atmosphere today. Tea was great by the way. Til next time I highly recommended this location.

    Best coffee in Gilbert!

Came in today a little worried that coffee shop studying was no longer a thing...thanks to COVID. As soon as I walked through the doors I was greeted with open arms and a smile! (Well I could tell he was smiling underneath his mask ) The owner knew every persons name that walked in and even through the craziness of frappes being blended and espresso shots being brewed, he took the time to ask about their days & knew everyone's drink! In times like this, it's so good to see a local business that is going above and beyond to take care of its community! Not to mention the coffee is always on point and the vibes inside are perfect for a nice study session! I'll definitely be back!

    Hair

Went tonight with my son and got a mocha frost and while I was drinking it I kept feeling hair like strings in my drink once I got home and dumped it out I saw a bunch of white hair. Looks like dog hair it was all in between my teeth. This was at the Gilbert rd location

The second you walk in, you're surrounded by a romance book-lover's dream. The ambiance feels like stepping into a cozy Hogwarts library. It's warm, magical, and the perfect place to get lost in a book. There is also a vintage-style Photo Booth that will print out two photo strips for $5! I also love the story behind this place starting online and growing into a physical bookstore that now carries such a fun variety of books, plus the cutest hip and trendy merch (hats, book pins, shirts, and more). The coffee is good, and their menu is surprisingly extensive. I ordered the cookie butter latte and was genuinely impressed by both the size and the taste. On top of all that, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Whether you're looking to study, find community, or just yap with fellow book lovers, this is such a fun and inviting space!

Lots of seating. I ordered a chai and they use a spiced mix. It's good not the normal Maya chai you see at most coffee shops. They also have energy drinks so I'd say this is a typical "quick" coffee shop style where you shouldn't expect in house flavors being made or anything and very sweet drinks (which I love). I got an almond croissant which was delicious. They get their pastries from the Gadsby Bakery I believe. They're so good. The service was so friendly and we got our drinks so quick!

I'm a big Cortado guy and they have one prominently on the menu. We've been here a few times and each time my wife's flavored latte is quite lovely, but would it be if it wasn't iced? The service is pleasant, the cafe itself is clean and cute, they have a restroom for patrons. But when it comes to pouring a Cortado, they don't know how to do it. It's just some steamed milk dumped on espresso in a paper cup. Any time a barista puts a cap on your cup (paper cups are generally a bad sign, but some are very good, but still not as good as glass cup poured versions) it's clear they intend to hide the lack of microfoam head, the art itself is how you build this drink. The pastries are great. I've wanted to like this place really because of the story, but if you're really into espresso there are so many better options than Cosita.

The staff is super welcoming and generous, not in a forced way, just genuinely good energy from the second you walk in. Food-wise, they don't miss. The honeycomb with cream cheese inside is insane -- sweet, rich, and something you don't really see anywhere else. The Dubai chocolate latte is a must-try too, super smooth and indulgent without being over the top. The beef samosas are perfectly crispy and packed with flavor, and the chocolate pistachio croissant is easily one of the best pastries I've had in a while. Honestly, every time I go I end up trying something new and it's always solid. You can tell they put real thought into everything they serve. Definitely one of those spots you keep coming back to.

I stopped in around 6:00 pm to get some work done before a cycling class. The first thing the cashier told me was that the espresso machines were already shut down and that only hot tea was available. I asked what time the shop closed, and he said 7:00 pm. Since I still had time, I decided to stay and purchased tea. After sitting down, I was told--due to construction--that they would be "locking up soon." I assumed this still meant 7:00 pm. I received my tea around 6:10 pm, and by 6:20 pm I was told they would be locking the doors and turning off the lights. At that point, it felt passive-aggressive and misleading. If I had been told upfront that the shop was closing early, I would not have ordered anything. I specifically asked what time you were closing, and that information was not communicated clearly until after I had already paid. Additionally, if the shop is supposedly open until 7:00 pm, it's confusing why the espresso machines were already turned off at 6:00 pm. As for the tea -- 2/10. I didn't even finish it. I'm sure the coffee may be good, but this is the first time I've been to a coffee shop where the espresso machine was shut down an hour before closing. Lastly, as a study space, it's very limited: only two tables with about eight chairs total. There are outlets, but not nearly enough to support people working. Overall, the lack of clear communication and the rushed, uncomfortable atmosphere made this a disappointing experience.

Somewhere in the parenting handbook there is a missing chapter titled "where to go when your child…read morehas feelings and you have a caffeine deficit." Michael and Callen Meola read that missing chapter, sighed deeply, and just built the place themselves. Villa Meola is a coffee shop that feels less like a transaction and more like being waved inside someone's actual home, because that is essentially what it is. They named the spot after the nickname for their own house, and you can tell. The kids drink menu (yes, a real one, with a "Kiddy Winnie the Pooh" that my child now demands by name) means small humans get treated like guests instead of obstacles. Big humans get traditional Italian espresso pulled on a manual lever Astoria machine, which sounds like a flex because it is, there are roughly seven of these in the entire state and the result is a crema so silky it should be illegal before 10am. A few things to know going in: * Order the Cannoli or the Caprese latte. They make their syrups and milks in house and you can taste it. * Get gelato from Gelato Cimmino next door, same room. Mario Cimmino is the real deal, and the affogato situation here is the most efficient delivery system for joy in the East Valley. * Focaccia pizza is sneakily excellent. Treat it as lunch, not a snack. * Bring the kids. They will not be the loudest sound in the room and nobody will side-eye you. This is the entire point of the place. The Meolas built the coffee shop they could not find. Lucky for the rest of Gilbert, they left the door open

It was pretty busy inside when my friend and I went, so we chose some chairs outside. They gave her a number for her pastry and brought it out, but we had to go up to the counter to find our drinks after waiting several minutes and wondering. That all would have been great info to know when ordering initially. Definitely will be returning! Side note: If you're familiar with downtown Chandler, this won't come as a surprise, but since I'm not a Chandler-regular, I was a little surprised at the lack of parking aside from parallel parking just in front of the actual coffee shop. Ended up parking in a free parking garage, but it was a little bit of a walk to the coffee shop from the parking garage.
