Black Bear has become my favorite restaurant! Even when they are packed and people are lined up to pay their bill's, the second you walk in the door someone will make sure to acknowledge your presence with quick eye contact and a warm smile which tells you "someone will help you as soon as they can because you are important to us" and within seconds we had Michael greeting us with his friendly genuine smile and taking us to our table. Our waiter Bryson was fantastic!! I had the Fish and Chips and it was so good!! The atmosphere at Black Bear is friendly and relaxed. The employees are all wonderful!! I have ate here many times and I have never been diappointed with the food, the portion size, or the service! Get real people the decor is NOT TACKY!!! It's like a mountainous hide away, a log cabin. Soooo....my husband and I never write reviews but for this we had too. I'm going to make this short and simple. The service was amazing! The food was less than average. I ordered a salad and received bagged lettuce. I ordered a veggie burger and it was straight from the grocery store as well. Even the buns and fries were straight from the store. It was very nice that they provided an option for a non-meat eater but com'on!, when I go to dinner, meat or not I want to have something more gourmet then what I can cook at home. The Hubs and Niece had chicken and waffles; they weren't even impressed with that! All hale Roscoes Chicken Waffles! It's literally a "drive by," sit down joint.
