Steak and Comstock Lode* - Steak & Eggs

We've come here for breakfast a few times, and love it! It reminds me of my hometown diner in cedar city, and even smells the same I am not the biggest breakfast fan so if possible I usually order steak and eggs. The last few places we've gone, the steaks have been very poor quality. This sirloin was amazing! And for $14?! Hell yea. Not chewy, and cooked just how I like it. My boyfriend was very pleased with his pancake and omelet. He didn't leave a single bite of food on his plate lol. We will be back!

was served the best chef Salad. Fresh crisp lettuce, loaded with sliced cheese.Sliced ham sliced turkey vegetables and blue cheese. When I walked in the smell of fries hit me and gave me a craving. So I ordered some fries. The fries are a meal within themselves. Next time I will try them with cheese and not get a salad. They served me a giant plate of fried yummy shoe string potatoes. That was just way too much food because it came with one of their famous scones. And you can't pass up a scone. I ate half of everything and took the rest home for lunch the next day.

The food here is just ok. The omelette was kinda bland. The fruit was not good at all. Did not taste fresh. Service was ok... no issues The inside from all the reviews I read had my anticipation a little high. Nothing too great about it. But it was nice.

Food was amazing pancakes were huge and thick and they gave me a lot of bacon compared to other places our server was nice and there was no wait time even for how busy it was. And the Halloween decorations was a nice touch

What a mistake to stop by here! Raw, undercooked and diluted. Omelette with veggies and cheese was so plain and undercooked, cheese didn't have time to melt. Hashbrowns were left untouched because it seemed like they were still frozen; half of it were just raw potatoes. Service was OK, however, still had to call few times to get attention. And don't you ever get a coffee in this place, cause I think it's just colored boiled water. No flavor at all. The interior is old American style with a nice view on the main strip. Table was served nicely and in time. Clean and neat place, what basically get the stars. Overall not even one time try place.

This is an old time cafe with great prices, huge portions, and no frills. And that's a not a bad thing. Service was fast, we were seated quickly, orders were taken timely and food was out quickly. Although their lunch and dinner menus should have enough for everyone, it looked like breakfast their specialty. We were there for lunch though, but we'd come back for breakfast after seeing what everyone else was ordering. The tenders were... Tender, and crispy. Fries were plentiful, definitely not cooked from frozen and very good. My wife had no complaints on the salad and mashed potatoes, especially when it came to the price. Yes, I'll be back.

Walking in to Midvale Mining is like a blast from the past. You get a decent meal at a reasonable price, which is why it has lasted as long as it has. You come here for a classic greasy spoon vibe, and because it's one of the few places that make Utah scones (frybread). The meal itself will be classic diner food, which isn't for everyone, but takes me back to my early 20s. I stopped by for dinner more recently. My chicken fried steak, was a little heavy on breading and gravy, but what I expected. But the real reason to stop is the fresh hot scone , dripping in honey butter. The staff is friendly and was good about checking on us. Generally I would recommend coming here for breakfast. And omelet, a scone, and diner coffee are a combination that will fight off a hangover.

I've been eating here since they opened in 1985. Love the prime rib on Friday's. Excellent food and service and prices.

Always solid food at a reasonable price. The prime rib special was especially tasty. But breakfast also has a solid menu choice.

The breakfast is really good especially the scones. However the staff could be a little faster and friendlier and maybe clean a bit better.

Couldn't have been easier then just crossing the street. I don't have a very detailed description of the food because as far as I could tell it was fairly standard breakfast fare. My order included eggs over easy, which seem to not be very easy in a lot of places but at Ramblin Roads the eggs arrived perfectly cooked. Service was casual but very competent and friendly.

Bacon is always on the undercooked side. Always order it extra well done or crispy, even if you like it a little more chewy. 2. The toast is not toast. It's basically just bread with butter. No crisp to it whatsoever. 3. The hash browns have a mild taste of the oil they are cooked in and are not seasoned. Always on the leash crispy side, which is against what a hash brown should be. I should not have to come to a restaurant and ask for every single item in my order to be cooked well done, just to get it up to normal standards. Lastly, the drinks are extremely overpriced. Do not give them the satisfaction of paying $5 for diner coffee and orange juice. Criminal

Their burritos and fries are my go-to favorites. The burritos are just top-notch, but I have a soft spot for their fries -- it's kind of an inside joke for me. Whenever I go out to eat with people, they always say, "Well, I know what El is having," because I always get fries with my food. But theirs are surprisingly amazing. Fries are usually just "fine" or "good," but theirs? They're very good. The owner is incredibly kind, and their baked goods are fantastic -- especially the peanut butter brownie, which I can't recommend enough. Their soft serve is also really good, and I'm excited to try some of their candy next time. I even took a non-vegan friend there, and he really enjoyed the food. Beyond the food, the team is so nice, and they have a little vegan market with some really cool products. I bought about half a pound of vegan bacon from them, and now I'm making all kinds of breakfast sandwiches at home. If you're in the area, whether you're vegan or not, Sweet Hazel is a must-visit. And if you can't stop by in person, their partner company Break Free Candy ships their sweets, which is awesome. Seriously, if you order anything from the menu, make it the peanut butter brownie. It's life-changing -- and I say that as a huge brownie lover.

I was pleasantly surprised by the decor inside, they have spent a great deal for this location. I ordered chips and salsa to start. She raved about the flavor and could only finish half. I ordered a unique taco which had an authentic name this gringo cannot remember but it was built on a house made corn tortilla about twenty inches long and ten inches wide. Steak, Mexican cream, tomatillo sauce, freshly shredded lettuce and cheese. I've never had anything like it but it is awesome. The service was quick and efficient. Very delightful people. The check had included a 15% Service Charge so I was glad to see the options on the screen to add a tip began at a level that matched up with the service charge at a reasonable level. We ordered matcha drinks, one came out with a hair in it, we asked for a replacement, the waitress that brought it out had so much attitude when she set it at our table & stormed off. We didn't make a fuss about the drink, we just asked for a new one, you would have thought we were rude about it the way she acted. Then a few of us ordered the truck stop breakfast with poached eggs, none of our eggs were made to what I consider a poached egg (cooked white, runny yolk) they were like soft hard boiled eggs. So we ask for a replacement which then comes out on a bed of lettuce already cracked so the yolks is more on the lettuce & plate than in the egg. At no point after we got our food did we get asked if we wanted more drinks, if we needed salt/pepper/hot sauce/butter for any of our items. Then the check came without asking if we needed wanted anything else, it was more of a hint to hurry up & leave. Food has been subpar, service doesn't make up for it. Eating here id solely for people that want a picturesque pic for IG. Best part was the mimosa which I would have loved another but never saw the waiter to get another.
