This is my new favorite coffee shop!! I use this as a study spot, but there is plenty of socialization without being too loud to focus. There is tons of seating (tables, booths, seating at the bar, etc). The employees are all so kind, and they even ask you to taste your coffee before you leave to make sure you like it. I've tried a few different lattes and they have all been amazing. It also has a free parking lot outside which is a rarity in downtown Charleston. My first time at Blūm and I'll definitely be back. I needed to get some work done on my laptop and loved the amount of space inside. They have tables, couches, counters and so many windows to fill the space with natural light. Absolutely perfect place to get some work done, meet friends for coffee, having a little reading date or even a date date. I ordered an iced chai latte with oat milk and you save $0.50 if you bring your own cup or use one of their glasses to stay in the store. I wish they had soy milk and maybe make the switch to not charge for milk alternatives but I understand. The staff was kind and the space was very quiet for all the people working. It's super cool they're also a wine bar in the afternoon. I'll definitely be back to try that out too! read more

Very trendy coffee bar with plenty of space for groups. Coffee was good. Didn't really have much of a selection for food... A few muffins and some prepackaged salads and sandwiches. They need to fix the ordering process because they only take the type of drink order and not include a name and too many people order the same type of drink and it can be very confusing. I had to go up a couple of times to find out what happened to my drink as people that came in after me got their drinks before me and the barista basically lost my drink order. However, the staff was very friendly and kind. Parking was difficult due to construction. So we had to park in the garage down on Columbus Street. read more

Parking was a real challenge to get intoBlum. There's a lot of construction going on all around this area but if you live within the walking distance, it's a great place to go. They have a nice outdoor seating space as well as a more upscale indoor space prices are a little high, but that's to be expected in downtown Charleston. The baked goods were good nothing over the top but good. My latte was made well and with the correct milk choice. There service was polite and inviting however they need to learn to process orders as they come in and not jump all around there were people who came in well behind us who were getting their own drink orders before we were. read more

Went to a Reading Rhythms book party at Blum. First, the atmosphere. Very chill wine and coffee bar. Clean, bright and comfortable. Great ambience! Next, Sydney is a great host attracting a nice crowd with their dogs. I love dog friendly places. This is my favorite coffee shop in Charleston! I used to live across the street, and would spend hours in the space studying, reading, crafting, etc. It's very spacious, inviting, and they are always encouraging community through events like night markets, game nights, movie nights, trivia, and even bookclubs. If you are looking for a space to get work done at a coffee shop, this is the place to go! There is so much seating: comfy booths, couches, and tables with chairs. Wifi is free and fast. There are lots of outlets to plug in to. I tried their banana bread latte which was yummy and the pastries looked good! People were playing board games. I walked here so unsure on parking. I had a meeting coming up and had recently heard about Blūm so I set it up to meet there. I love when a place has plenty of room for meetings, a great location, and has parking too. Blūm checks all of these boxes! Right away I loved the interior. You'll immediately notice how big the place is and has two sides with a divider in the middle. There are tons of tables and plenty of seating and a big wooden bar with beer and wine for the evenings. I scoped the place out before ordering and asked about the food because all I saw at first was a refrigerator at the end of the counter with a few premade sandwiches, bottled drinks like kombucha, and a couple other random packaged items. When I inquired they let me know they also had some baked goods in the case up front, but without a kitchen they were limited to what was available. They are outsourcing the food from elsewhere. The case had four types of muffins and a plain croissant which all seemed boring. In a pinch for a bit to eat I opted for a container of chicken salad out of the fridge. It wasn't exactly breakfast, but it worked. We both ordered mocha lattes with out choice of milk and they brought it out to our table when it was ready. The drinks were great and while I enjoyed my chicken salad, I was disappointed with the food options. There are other places in the same situation who have amazing food selections so hopefully they can remedy that because it could quickly become a favorite for quick meetings or getting out of the home office for a couple hours. read more

Stopped in a couple times on a recent trip here - great, large space with lots of natural light. It's both a coffee shop and wine bar. They have few options for food which is my main gripe as there isn't much nearby either. But it's a great spot for remote working, lots of space and outlets, different types of seats, calm inside, free wifi. The perfect place to get work done! I came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty empty and quiet. Honestly, this was not a bad sign to me because I like having the space and quiet atmosphere. I easily spent a little over 2 hours here because it was so peaceful. Although this coffee shop has few food options, this place also serves wine and beer with a full bar in the back. I ordered the cold foam with honey added to it. Loved the generous amounts of foam. This place is very unique for Downtown Charleston. They serve coffee plus they are a wine and beer bar! The space is open and has a lot of different seating so it would work well for a remote worker, meetings, or just enjoying a drink. The other huge perk is the large FREE parking lot just out front. My go to drink at the morning bar is an iced matcha with chai-- hold the ginger. The ingredients taste super fresh and aren't overly sweet, which is important for me. The evening bar is also a cute spot with tons of seating as well. I trust Sydney to help me choose my drinks and she is always spot on. Oh and did I mention you can bring your DOG!!! Truly horrible, the matcha tasted horrible, the service was subpar at best, lady was not into it, and didn't put any effort. The matcha is 99% milk, no matcha, doesn't even taste like matcha. Maybe even just milk with 1/2 drop of green food coloring. We got 4 and spent about 40 dollars + tip. Do better. read more

Really loved working from this place! It was a short walk from my house which was nice. Happened to come on a Tuesday and order a cold brew so it was actually only $2 - a great surprise! Coffee was tasty. I didn't see many food options but I also didn't come for food so I was fine with it. The barista making my coffee was nice. There are plenty of tables and seating to choose from and all were spaced out so you weren't bumping into others or talking over others while working. What I loved the most about this spot was that it was quiet. Everyone was mindful of others if they were talking or in a meeting. The music was at a perfect level, not too loud. Bathrooms could have been a little cleaner but they weren't terrible. I also saw this place does fun events throughout the month so I'll definitely be back to check those out. read more
