This coffee shop has the best atmosphere! It's tucked away on Burns Lane and when you walk in you'll see several small rooms with beautiful decor and cozy spots so social and drink coffee or wine, and a few rooms that are intended as work spaces. The staff were welcoming. This place would be great for a mid day or early afternoon work meeting! And the matcha was delicious.

What a cute place. Hidden on Burns Lane... and right off King Street...several rooms that seem to go on forever ..with delightful pink interior colors .. garden area with tables , .. perfect stop while shopping on King Street...freshly baked items are on display. Top of the line beverage machines prepared in front of you with all the fixings. Service aims to please! Actually I'm catching Hidden House before their official opening!... already busy! Good sign! A "homey" feel as soon as you walk in and will feel like you are in someone's historic home. Definitely a little "hidden" gem. A wonderful venue for holding a special occasion, wedding or corporate event.

My Bible study meets here weekly and it's the perfect environment for a group. The staff are always so kind and helpful, the space is beautiful and the coffee is my favorite in Charleston. I have done the pistachio latte and the salted caramel and love both. There is ample seating both indoors and outdoors. The only downside is the lack of parking, just come prepared to pay for a metered spot or a pricier spot in the lot. Highly recommend.

What a delightful hidden gem off the beaten path. It's a lovely little cafe with several rooms and amazingly good drinks. My tea latte was one of the best I've had and the morning glory muffin was good, even the next day. Yum.

The Hidden House is a gorgeous coffee shop with excellent coffee. Service is friendly and quick, and this place truly feels like a hidden gem. It does get very popular, so I'd recommend arriving earlier in the morning to avoid the rush.

Rich textures, warm lighting, and that unmistakable southern charm create an intimate, welcoming atmosphere that feels purposely hidden. Katie, serving as both bartender and host, elevated the entire experience. She was gracious, professional, and genuinely friendly the kind of hospitality that makes you want to come back before you've even left. Her Knob Creek whiskey sour was exceptional, easily one of the best in Charleston. Perfectly balanced with extra froth, it showed the kind of craft you expect from a top-tier mixology spot. If you're looking for a speakeasy that nails vibe, service, and cocktails, Scotty Doesn't Know should be at the top of your list. A standout gem in Charleston's bar scene.

There's a comprehensive cocktail menu and the French 75ish and the tiramisu martini were both delicious ($18 each). The prices are super comparable with other bars downtown. They have a full bar if you'd like a standard cocktail or any other creation I'm sure they could make it. Our server was great and very attentive. The kitchen stopped serving food at 10pm which I wish we had been told when we came in because I tried to order fries at 10:04 and was told I couldn't. Which I understand I just wish I had known. The place is pretty small and dark and very quiet so the perfect place for a calm nightcap.

We could've either ordered from the menu or he said he could pick our dishes for you which I think is a great option to try things you wouldn't normally! We got the Brushetta the pickeled onion was delicious and added good flavor. 10/10 and the Tuna tartare, was super good. I wish the chunks were smaller 8/10 as our starters which were both delicious! Our party of four ate upstairs, which was a super cute space, but very hot (heat was on because it was cold outside). They adjusted the temperature but it was pretty toasty for the entire meal in the busy space with the other full tables. Pros: - The bottle of wine we ordered was delicious, and we had two - Service was consistent and we were taken care of timely - The eggplant was delicious - definitely the best dish at the table - The beet salad and the tartare were solid - very glad we ordered these - Server & assistants were great, attentive, fun, nice Cons: - The pasta that I ordered was extremely bland, the chicken on top was torched and barely edible it was so dry - The ravioli were dry and there was about a tsp of pumpkin inside - The steaks my dad and husband ordered were very expensive, very fatty, and they could not eat the majority of the meat - The fries were very disappointing - like, bad McDonalds-esque - Cheesecake did not taste fresh and it was pretty gummy - This was an EXPENSIVE meal for what we had/enjoyed - We were seated next to two very large parties, and directly in front of the single bathroom stall - lots of traffic from folks using the restroom and lots of noise from the two huge parties I think I would be open to trying again, but we would be very cognizant of what we ordered and would probably stick to some apps and wine.

Brought my daughter and her friends here to celebrate her upcoming wedding and the experience was absolutely wonderful. Eric is incredibly knowledgable about wine, made the entire experience both educational and fun. Even the girls in the group who don't really drink wine ended up having a great time and created a wine blend that they truly enjoyed! Plenty of wine to taste and enjoy while you are creating your personal blend. You leave the class with a custom made bottle that you created with a personalized label that you designed (need to send the label design a few days before your class and they have it printed and ready for your bottle the day of the class). We were looking for a…read morelate night spot to grab a beverage and an appetizer/snack and decided to walk into Grand Bohemian Wine Bar. When we walked in, the bartender and a waitress were talking, and acting very upset that we interrupted them. The bartender gave us menus and for being a wine bar, they did not have a large selection of wines by the glass, and had a handful of wines by the bottle that were severely over priced. We ended up on a white wine, and for the price, we were not impressed. (I should say that I am in no way a wine snob but know what I like). We had ordered the burrata and when it came out we were in awe, because what was on the plate was not in fact burrata. By the time the waitress dropped it off, she was gone quicker than we could inquire why mozzarella was on our plate. Eventually she came back and when we told her that it was not in fact burrata, she went back and spoke with the kitchen and came back and told us they ran out of burrata and just replaced it with mozzarella. (Making it seem like they just wanted to get away with it and were hopeful we would not notice). In the end, with the food mishaps, lack of choices, and very poor service; this was the big disappointment of our trip.
