Sunday we stopped for an early dinner. They have great hamburgers at BJs. Our waitrous, Shay , I believe had been hired there two days before. Very personable, not " fake". My burger came out partially cooked and they sent it back for a new one. It came out about 20 minutes later. Now the manager was great, our Shay was as kind as can be. She was genuinely apologetic and hovered over us like a grand daughter. Everyone has a bad day. There were errors made, but the way she and the manager took care of us was stellar. We used to love BJ's, but sadly food and quality has gone way down hill, especially at the westminster location. My asian salad was reg lettuce with wontons (lakewood location was a proper asian salad) flat crispy pizza by husband order was soggy and floppy. On another visit my silverware stuck to the napkin due to food on utensils, wine glass had lip mark's all around the rim. My husband loved the double pork chop with marmilade (now its a mustard sauce) why not have both? Money is tight and there are so many options, we will be taking our business else where. read more

Went there last night for 61 birthday. The waitress took over 30 minutes to get drinks. The salads came. Then the meals Ordered 7 prime rib. The prime rib was awful. The meals were switched. The vegetables weren't steamed came out raw. The Brussels sprouts way overcooked. When brought to managers attention. All she could say is we were way busier than expected and you guys ate all the prime rib so can't make it right. This is one of my favorite restaurants because of the variety of choices. Last night we took an out of town guest. Our server, Isaiah, was amazing. He was professional, but extremely personable. Each time he came to our table, it was with a smile. Our requests were met promptly and questions answered patiently. Our guest was not familiar with BJ's and expressed disappointment that they did not include bread with the meals. Isaiah managed to get her some bread. Our meal was not quite as good as usual. I love the jambalaya and recommended to my guest. She did not enjoy it because the bell peppers and onions were barely cooked. I noticed it t, but still enjoyed the flavor. It was pretty late, which may have affected the cooking. I still think this is a great place, but would it order something else late in the evening. We always hope that she might be our server but unfortunately, we have been coming in when she is not working. She is always very courteous, friendly, polite, diligent, and takes excellent care of us. She always knows what our drinks are as we have been going to BJS Westminster for a long time. She made sure to see that we had everything we needed, that our food came out as we had ordered, and it was to our satisfaction. I ordered the wedge salad and always order extra toppings because they usually never put enough on and you just get a wedge of lettuce. Unlike servers in the past she made sure this happened. She made sure that our drinks were always filled, and there was nothing that we needed. It was pizza night and we also ordered salads in addition. The salads were very good and so was the pizza. I was told it would be a 20 minute wait for a party of five, and while we waited an hour we watched multiple parties of five get seated before us. When I inquired with the extremely young and inexperienced manager, he said the parties were smaller because of high chairs. We love BJ's. We probably go a couple times a month and are never disappointed. They have a great lunch and happy hour menus. Not to mention great beers. Waiters are always friendly and helpful. I ordered a takeout for the BJs favorite pizza, advertised as a deep dish with homemade meat balls etc At a price of $31.99 plus tax and tip $40 for what could have been a frozen pizza from Food Lion Maybe my expectations were too high as I was thinking it would be something akin to a Chicago type deep dish But, it was a thick crust with limited toppings and pepperonis the size of a penny curled up and dry from overcooking. We come here often in groups of 30+ for our basketball end of season lunch/dinner for both my teams for both the fall and winter seasons and they take care of us every time. Depending on who our server is, it can be slow and sometimes confusing. There were a couple times they messed up our orders (I think the server was new) and also another time they served all the parents first while our starving kids just watched on as we ate and they waited, but for the most part, they have done a great job dealing with our big parties. What we swallowed: *AHI TUNA SALAD: I wanted to like this but the ahi was not yummy. The salad was better without the tuna. *Tavern style pizza or Build your Own: This is always a go-to for us. We like the Build Your Own Crust better. The crust is nice and crispy and they pile on lots of toppings. *PRIME RIB DIP: This was a tasty sandwich but the meat was cold. It probably would have been a lot better if it was hot. *KIDS MENU: Spaghetti with butter and parm: Another go-to for our family, the girls either have it with a side of mash or a side of fries. We really appreciate all that BJ's does for our team and there's so much on the menu there's always more to sample. The servers do their best and I know it's hard to deal with large parties so I appreciate them. I think I'd steer clear of the exotics on the menu and stick to things like burger and fries and the like and you can't go wrong. read more

The waitress here delivered the single worst restaurant experience of my entire life. The whole situation was horrifying, insulting, and downright embarrassing. I had only finished one beer, yet she had the audacity to accuse me of being drunk -- while the other drinks on our tab belonged to our guests, who were drinking twice as fast as we were. Her accusation wasn't just wrong; it was reckless, humiliating, and utterly unprofessional. To make it even more absurd, I was paying for a group of around 25 people, plus my own table of four -- a massive bill, handled generously, only to be treated like some problem customer she needed to manage. Instead of gratitude or basic competence, I was repaid with disrespect and baseless accusations. After that disaster, I will never bring a large group there again. If that's how they choose to treat the people who fill their tables and pay their bills, then they can do it without me and without the crowds I used to bring. I've been to several bjs restaurants and each time gets more dull. Here's the laydown. This location provides us with the best dry rub wings I've had in my life. I would easily order these 10 more times hands down. But my beer was just more expensive for the same quality of beer as any local place, our side pizza was nothing to gawk at and the fish salad was still fine. But the reason why this location specifically gets less stars is the service we had. It was late and very few people were there in comparison but we had to wait a long time in-between each moment we needed something or were waiting for something from our waitress. Worst BJ?? Let me count the ways on how this has to improve. Our toddler's "kids" meal that we ordered was supposed to arrive with Mac & cheese... was delivered with just Mac, no cheese, steamed veggies as broccoli and celery, raw, for a toddler... meal was eventually replaced with actual cheese sauced version and still inedible broccoli for a toddler even after requesting it to be completely cooked. Next, a few of us ordered drinks, 20+ minutes later they arrived, all margarita's without "included" salt or tajin. Claire (waitress) offered to have them remake. We said to just bring the salt and tajin and we'd make do. We didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for them. Drinks were okay. The manager comes to the table and tries to make light of our first two food/drink issues. Says we will try to make it better. Fine... fingers crossed. Meals arrive, French dip was to include cheese and mushrooms, arrived with very gristly beef only. Rest of tables meals were on par. At this point we weren't going to send back. Lastly, we hesitantly ordered a second round of drinks that never arrived, after another 20+ minutes of waiting, after Claire ensured we'd get our complete drinks quickly. We later told her to just stop/cancel the drink order, and bring the check, please. The manager returned... (Walker or Jeremy maybe) asked if we were interested in dessert... that if so, it'd be on them. Okay gesture but that'd be a resounding no. Perhaps offer/attempt to take the kids meal or the drinks off our bill? ... it was pretty sad. I'm sure you're not surprised, we won't return. read more
