This BJs located on Leesburg Pike in Vienna is a family favorite but food is sometimes a hit or miss. On our recent visit for dinner on Aug 10 it was a hit! We were seated in a large comfortable booth located along the far wall of the restaurant after we declined seating in the bar area which is cramped and always loud. Great spot though for sports fans because this is where the huge TVs and loud music are hooked up and if you are not into making a conversation with your date or company. Service was polite, attentive and friendly - thanks, Fidel! And what made dinner good were the crispy mozzarella cheese sticks, juicy jalapeño burger, and yes, they had the 3 course well prepared and thick prime rib dinner. We had come here twice before and were disappointed because they ran out of their Friday to Sunday prime rib special. Another downer was they ran out of the full sized cheese pizza and only had a pizzookie-sized pizza - way too mini for a meal thus, the 3 stars rating. Skip the margarita flight which was mostly ice and a cocktail of awful artificial sweet colored syrups sans tequila! I should have complained and asked the bar to re-do it but I didn't thus, the 3 stars. Overall, we had a great time, a good meal, and an excellent customer service from Fidel on this visit and would return again. So, check out this BJs but omit the margarita flight and ask to be seated in a booth along the wall far away from the bar and kitchen where the decibel seems the loudest!!! read more

Imagine a sports bar and brewery meets Cheesecake Factory... welcome to BJ's! If you've never been here, you're missing out! They have a very expansive menu comprised of burgers, sandwiches, pizza, wings, appetizers, drinks, pizookies (hot cookie with cold ice cream), pastas, steaks, salads, etc.... They look like an upscale restaurant with similar atmosphere but also possess a casual feel that make the restaurant appropriate for any occasion. All their food is so good, especially for the price you pay. My burger was absolutely delectable. It was cooked to perfection and the ingredients were perfect. Soooo we got in sat down and was approached by our server friendly enough. I ordered the salmon and rice pilaf. Hubby ordered Tri Tips with mushrooms and onions. When my salmon was served it smelled Super fishy! The rice was just rice! Not pilaf! I bit into the bite and nearly . It was old nasty fish and the rice was crunchy. We told the waitress and she told the GM. He came to the table acting like he'd take care of it fully. Talked me into trying again... Better but still not great and still not Rice Pilaf. It was a dish that with chicken, asparagus, and Frenchfries . On the chicken were mushrooms. The sauce for the mushrooms was lukewarm and watery. The chicken was beaten to the point of being thin and overcooked. The asparagus was dry andovercooked, size was size of a cocktail drink straw. We had an amazing experience at BJ's. We each ordered the boba mango drink and the strawberry drink. Both were delicious, perfectly fruity, and not overwhelmingly sweet. We also got the mac and cheese bites as an appetizer. We loved how these same in bite-size portions so that the crispyness of the outer breading was perfect without becoming soggy. For our entrees, we got the chicken Alfredo and baked ziti. Both were delicious. The baked ziti came in a pan with melted cheese on top and a perfect amount of ground beef and pepperonis. It was absolutely delicious and came piping hot. Of course, you can't skip the pazookies while you're here. We got the trio, which comes with three mini sizes of your choice. We got the original chocolate chip, the salted caramel, and the triple chocolate. The salted caramel was my favorite and was divine. The saltiness combined with the sweetness was a perfect combination. All in all, everything we ate was delicious! Also, our server Sydney was absolutely amazing and so fun. Only came here for the Pizookies on a weeknight. Not super crowded, and I liked the low lighting of the place. The service was good, we got seated immediately, and our server was very sweet! She recommended we get the trio instead of picking a single one since we were really indecisive and wanted to try multiple. Definitely a good option, because it was enough for our sweet tooth, but also quantity wise was perfect. We tried the Cookies and Cream, Strawberry Shortcake, and Chocolate Chunk Pizookies. BJ's has improved and I have become a fan. This is a place that can take a fair sized group. I go here with between 8-14 people for lunch. The service and the menu have improved. I have recently enjoyed the spicy peanut chicken, brewhouse bowl, wings, Brussels sprouts, and the desserts. The drink in a tub with a duck is worth the experience at least once. We have enjoyed our servers who have all done well with a group and do a great job of slitting up the check as well as providing packaging for left overs which happen when a table goes a little crazy on appetizers. The garage parking is easy & its proximity to a beltway entrance make is an easy space to either meet at or disperse from. It's a good spot to catch sports with several screen visible from almost all locations as well as accessible bar. The service was good, our server must have been new because he didn't really know how to use the ordering tablet. First time visit this location, it was easy to find, but the parking was confusing since there are multiple buildings nearby , therefore for first comer can get confused as for where to park for BJ. Open concept layout inside restaurant, very comfortable. Service was decent , we came in between meals time, the restaurant was fairly empty, our waiter was very attentive and try to crack some jokes with us as well. Our total came out to a little over $100. What's hot - Quality. For the most part, their food is pretty good. My husband ordered his prime rib cooked medium. It was cooked at a good temperature and it came out tender. The pretzel appetizer was warm and tender. My salad had a nice flavor and not too salty/overly seasoned. There were also a few dabs of wasabi sauce on the side of the plate, which added a nice kick. - Portions. Good value for money. We left full and with some leftover. - Service. Decent and reliable. We got what we needed and their staff made certain to check in on us when appropriate. - Parking. There's a small parking lot underneath the building, which is helpful, easy to find, and free. - Location. Convenient and easy to find. What's not - Quality. My husband's prime rib was a bit bland and not well-seasoned, which he said was a disappointment- average. The asparagus were too thin and not substantial. The pretzel appetizer was too oily/buttery. - Service. Their wait staff were nice and reliable, however, they were unable to split our bill. The reasons they gave didn't make sense (I.e., one of our friends had their piezookie card) and we used a military discount. I understand it might have taken some time to itemize our separate bills, but the reasons they gave didn't make sense. Myself and 3 friends visited BJ's this past Saturday for dinner and drinks. We had a decent time and much of our experience was good, but there were a few issues. The host staff was friendly but they sat us down without menus or silverware and when they finally brought them, they brought the wrong amount. Our server made several bad jokes and made the dining experience a bit awkward with him standing over our table. Our chicken wing appetizer came out after our entrees and the deep dish pizza we got to share was lukewarm at best. The cheese had already cooled so there was no gooey cheese pull. The distribution of toppings was also pretty bad. Some bites felt like all pepperoni and others all cheese. It was a mess. We asked the manager to take it off the bill. All the other food and drinks were great! My friends each got the prime rib special and enjoyed it, but each dish was undercooked. I really enjoyed the wedge salad but had to ask for extra dressing because it was dry. By the time the lemon pepper wings came out, we were mostly full but they were cooked well and tasted great! Perfect place for food all day long. We often play pickleball late evening. So this is our go to spot post pickleball. Wide variety of food to choose from. I tried the bacon burger with fries and side order of broccoli cheddar soup. Everything was so delicious. Burger was so juicy and flavorful. Service was great but slightly slow late evening. BJ's it's been 10 years! But unfortunately, things have gone down hill during that decade of absence. The pizza is not as crispy as it used to be. The calamari was a bit soggy. The ribs did not have enough bbq sauce and there was a cheap, porky, after-taste with every bite. On top of that, the service was very pushy - trying to force us to spend more on apps or specials.... an overall experience that makes me not want to return for another 10 years. I have been coming here since they opened, not a regular but would come periodically. They have a wide variety, they have their own brewery. Their beers are not bad at all ( I love the Jeremiah Red) they have an amazing happy hour selection from 3-7 and food happy hour continues from 9-close. They have specials daily, when I went back recently they have added wing flavors to the menu. I love wings and bbq so naturally I always get the hickory bbq and their new Root beer glaze (absolutely amazing) you're always immediately greeted when you walk in and if you sit at the bar service is always quick especially for food. I have to recommend this for a date or just trying to watch the game with some friends. This is a pretty standard BJ's, was quite empty when we walked in. The waitress who seated us was kind, as was our waiter. The food and drinks did take awhile to come out, but was surprisingly good. We ordered a spicy marg, peach spiked boba, calamari, and a cookies and cream pizookie. The pizookie had come out before the rest of the food, and was finished by the one friend who ordered it before anything came out. Overall was a great experience other than the long wait. The spiked boba was reallyy tasty and did not taste at all like boba, just a note that the boba is not tapioca, but popping boba (which was great for me as I'm a fan of them!). Honestly one of the worst service experiences I've had at BJ's. Our server, James, was completely inattentive and dismissive the entire visit. We had to repeatedly ask for basic things, and even then he either ignored us or acted like we were inconveniencing him for ordering. There was no sense of professionalism or basic customer service whatsoever. It genuinely felt like we were being deliberately ignored the entire time, which made the whole meal frustrating and unpleasant. Completely ruined the experience. We had to wait for over two hours for a cookie and a pizza and another forty for the check that never came we had to go to the front and pay. And when we confronted him, he acted slow and couldn't even answer my question about why he was ignoring us and just walked away. Mind you he didnt even try to apologize or de-escalate the situation. This location was no different although our service was a little slow, especially considering we came in a quieter time before the dinner rush. We went to BJ's Brewhouse in Tysons Corner with a group of 11, including a toddler, and had a great experience. I ordered the tri-tip steak, and it was excellent. Everyone else in our group seemed to really enjoy their food too, which is saying something with a group that size. I love BJ's Brewhouse and was excited to see one in Tyson's Corner/Vienna Va. Stopped in for a flight of margaritas and a bite to eat. Headed straight to the bar & was greeted as I passed by the hostess. The bartender was busy but acknowledged me and returned quickly. I ordered a Margarita flight and as always it never disappoints! The bartender was helpful with recommendations on food choices when I asked questions. I enjoyed my Parmesan Crusted Chicken, served with mash potatoes& steam broccoli. My friend and I went to BJ's for the Super Bowl game. The host sat us down at a table where there wasn't much access to watch the game on a TV so we sat at the next available table. The waiter for that section was very rude and basically gave us an attitude that we can't sit there unless it's a party of 4. She could have said it in a friendly tone but she decided not to. No hi or excuse me just straight into giving us an attitude. The section was on the right side closer to the kitchen I believe. She had a very disrespectful tone and her facial expressions. My friend and I moved to the bar area where we had an amazing waiter. Go to BJ's for the pizookies (the other food they have is fine but the pizookies are the star of the show)! I started with a watermelon mojito, the watermelon flavor was light but pretty good. We then proceeded to get a few appetizers. The loaded nachos were good, though I wouldn't get the steak of them again. Now the real star of the show and the reason to go to BJ's- the pizookie trio. I would come back to BJ's just for the pizookies. My personal favorite pizookie is the cookies and cream. The monkey bread pizookie is also really good. This BJ's location has a pretty large bar area, so good for an after work spot. Parking at this location kind of sucked. They do have parking but it took all of us 10-15 minutes to find a spot, so add a few minutes to your drive here to find parking. read more

Do I like this restaurant? Yes. Must say service is excellent. Every visit it has been decent. There are a hundred or so TV's here. You won't miss that important game. That is important, and you will be happy having this option. The employees are A plus. The food is okay. I must say the boneless wings, with a cold one hits the spot. It's probably area related, but has a corporate feel to it. Personally I'm a fan of hole in the wall types of establishments. This isn't that, and the prices have gone up. Inflation is real, and admittedly a lot is out of this company and others control. My recommendation is give it a try, as nice folks and good spot for sports entertainment. read more

We were there for one of their special beer tasting dinners. Five courses and seven 5oz beers for $45 - great price. Food included jumbo pretzel with cheese dip, Santa Fe salad with chicken, tavern pizza, double bone pork chop and pizookie. The pork chop was excellent and large enough (especially after the early courses) for the basis of a leftover dinner the next day. We also enjoyed the pizookie. Service was friendly and excellent. Definitely will come back to try their regular menu and their next special beer tasting dinner in December which will feature prime rib. read more

Super disappointed and will not be coming back here again. Went here instead of Cheesecake Factory just so I could have a Pizookie but I regret that decision. Was seated in the bar area and it took more than 5 minutes for our waitress to even acknowledge us and even then she said she would come by soon to take our drinks. Didn't return until another 5+ minutes later. We ordered two appetizers because we knew we just wanted to get some food fast so that we could move on to the Pizookie. We got the sampler (Triple Dipper) and some shrimp and garlic toast dish. After 25 minutes we get the triple dipper. Shrimp and toast is nowhere to be found. We're almost done with the sampler after 15 minutes; still no shrimp and toast. Our waitress says she'll check on it and unsurprisingly she's come out the kitchen empty-handed. At that point I told her go ahead cancel, remove it, and let us leave. The restaurant wasn't crazy busy by any means. For some reason this poor waitress was left attending to us (and other tables I bet) in addition to working behind the bar. I felt bad but the service was unacceptable considering their food is average at best anyways. Bad service. Horribly overpriced. Just go to Cheesecake Factory at Tysons across the street instead. read more
