    Pizookie Trio
    Sanjana R.

Only came here for the Pizookies on a weeknight. Not super crowded, and I liked the low lighting of the place. The service was good, we got seated immediately, and our server was very sweet! She recommended we get the trio instead of picking a single one since we were really indecisive and wanted to try multiple. Definitely a good option, because it was enough for our sweet tooth, but also quantity wise was perfect. We tried the Cookies and Cream, Strawberry Shortcake, and Chocolate Chunk Pizookies. Loved the Strawberry Shortcake one the best out of the three!

Came for the Dubai pizookie and it didn't disappoint. Would come back for this and other pizookies alone as I wasn't crazy about my entree, the smash burger. It was okay, nothing to rave about.

First time visit this location, it was easy to find, but the parking was confusing since there are multiple buildings nearby , therefore for first comer can get confused as for where to park for BJ. Open concept layout inside restaurant, very comfortable. Service was decent , we came in between meals time, the restaurant was fairly empty, our waiter was very attentive and try to crack some jokes with us as well. Food quality, and pricing is consistent with other locations . From the deep dish pizza to kids meal, to ribs , spaghetti , chicken tenders , chicken wings and cocktails everything was delicious. Definitely recommend by IG@WineDinenVacay

Service was good. Was in town for work and had dinner at BJ's with colleagues as it was close to my hotel. I would visit again when I'm in the area. There was some dry seasoning on the plate that I think was just for garnish but it sort of threw the dish off for me. Otherwise, everything was good.

Chicken Tortilla Soup in a bread bowl

Came here with hubby and a couple other friends. Hubby and I ordered their pretzel appetizer; I had the seared ahi tuna salad, and; hubby had their prime rib meal, and selected their tortilla soup in a bread now, mashed potatoes and asparagus, and the cinnabon piezookie, and a couple of drinks. Our total came out to a little over $100. What's hot - Quality. For the most part, their food is pretty good. My husband ordered his prime rib cooked medium. It was cooked at a good temperature and it came out tender. The pretzel appetizer was warm and tender. My salad had a nice flavor and not too salty/overly seasoned. There were also a few dabs of wasabi sauce on the side of the plate, which added a nice kick. - Portions. Good value for money. We left full and with some leftover. - Service. Decent and reliable. We got what we needed and their staff made certain to check in on us when appropriate. - Parking. There's a small parking lot underneath the building, which is helpful, easy to find, and free. - Location. Convenient and easy to find. What's not - Quality. My husband's prime rib was a bit bland and not well-seasoned, which he said was a disappointment- average. The asparagus were too thin and not substantial. The pretzel appetizer was too oily/buttery. - Service. Their wait staff were nice and reliable, however, they were unable to split our bill. The reasons they gave didn't make sense (I.e., one of our friends had their piezookie card) and we used a military discount. I understand it might have taken some time to itemize our separate bills, but the reasons they gave didn't make sense. It just sounded like they didn't want to take the time and effort in getting it done. Final answer Willing to returns, but may not be a first choice.

Myself and 3 friends visited BJ's this past Saturday for dinner and drinks. We had a decent time and much of our experience was good, but there were a few issues. The host staff was friendly but they sat us down without menus or silverware and when they finally brought them, they brought the wrong amount. Our server made several bad jokes and made the dining experience a bit awkward with him standing over our table. Our chicken wing appetizer came out after our entrees and the deep dish pizza we got to share was lukewarm at best. The cheese had already cooled so there was no gooey cheese pull. The distribution of toppings was also pretty bad. Some bites felt like all pepperoni and others all cheese. It was a mess. We asked the manager to take it off the bill. All the other food and drinks were great! My friends each got the prime rib special and enjoyed it, but each dish was undercooked. I really enjoyed the wedge salad but had to ask for extra dressing because it was dry. By the time the lemon pepper wings came out, we were mostly full but they were cooked well and tasted great! I ordered 2 dessert cocktails and enjoyed both of them. We all ordered a few beers and all but 1 was decent. The general vibe in the restaurant was off. It was cold and dark and seemed overly spacious. Like there was a lot of wasted space. It just felt weird. I'd go back but I wouldn't recommend.

Perfect place for food all day long. We often play pickleball late evening. So this is our go to spot post pickleball. Wide variety of food to choose from. I tried the bacon burger with fries and side order of broccoli cheddar soup. Everything was so delicious. Burger was so juicy and flavorful. Service was great but slightly slow late evening. That's totally understandable. It was around 11 pm. Server was amazing. Ambiance is just like any other American bar. Plenty of parking spots in their lower level.

3.5 We came here primarily for appetizers and beverages. Markia was our server and she was very nice to us. We appreciate that. We ordered the following... *Avocado Egg Rolls - Avocado, cream cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, red onions ,cilantro, chipotle peppers, sweet tamarind dipping sauce *Burger Sliders -Four beef patties , grilled onions, lettuce, dill pickles, ketchup, mini slider buns ( we added bacon and cheese) *Chicken Pot Stickers - Pan-seared dumplings, chicken, ginger, garlic , yellow chives, green onions, soy ginger sauce, sesame seeds I really enjoyed the popular avocado rolls. Every bite has the nice creaminess of avocado. Yum! I also enjoyed the sliders!!! They were delicious! The bacon and cheese added made it more scrumptious. I also sampled the pot stickers. They were okay. Nothing special about them. Good experience will be back when I'm in town to try other things in the menu!

I have been coming here since they opened, not a regular but would come periodically. They have a wide variety, they have their own brewery. Their beers are not bad at all ( I love the Jeremiah Red) they have an amazing happy hour selection from 3-7 and food happy hour continues from 9-close. They have specials daily, when I went back recently they have added wing flavors to the menu. I love wings and bbq so naturally I always get the hickory bbq and their new Root beer glaze (absolutely amazing) you're always immediately greeted when you walk in and if you sit at the bar service is always quick especially for food. I have to recommend this for a date or just trying to watch the game with some friends. Yesterday Sidney was our server and she was fantastic, always checking up on us and will chat with you cracking jokes here and there.

This is a pretty standard BJ's, was quite empty when we walked in. The waitress who seated us was kind, as was our waiter. The food and drinks did take awhile to come out, but was surprisingly good. We ordered a spicy marg, peach spiked boba, calamari, and a cookies and cream pizookie. The pizookie had come out before the rest of the food, and was finished by the one friend who ordered it before anything came out. Overall was a great experience other than the long wait. The spiked boba was reallyy tasty and did not taste at all like boba, just a note that the boba is not tapioca, but popping boba (which was great for me as I'm a fan of them!). The spicy marg was super spicy, and was really good as well. Both paired nicely with the calamari, which was really great. Def a good spot for eats and hanging with your friends.

It was something I'd never heard of and looked like it had Angel hair pasta, arugula, and the chicken looked interesting. It looked fried, but not in a typical way. So when I got my meal, I was so pleasantly surprised at how delicious the chicken was. It was a light crispy, airy texture to the skin. And the pasta was delicious - so good. It had mushrooms and sweet peppers along with the butter sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed it! I also ended up getting a mocktail which was a spicy faux margarita. Not bad! It had a nice ambience for groups, and our server was super helpful. He made a lot of good suggestions and made sure to check on us. I understand that you can't as a restaurant work on the same menu all the time, but they take away almost all staples and replace them with something very questionable. So far I tried 2 items and both were with major issues. First I tried Grilled trout entree and trout was bland with nice farro side . Whole dish seems underwhelming and had a lack of bonding sauce or flavor profile to make it a dish. Second time I had Salmon salad and this was not good at all. Salmon itself was perfectly cooked as a medium rare on my liking and champagne dressing in mixed greens was good. But I salad had cold and slimy potato pieces and big chunks of blackish marinated onions,it was hard to eat and even unpleasant. I'm really disappointed, because Thai shrimp salad was absolutely best salad in DC area as well as other very popular dishes from old menu. Please bring back Thai Shrimp!!

They offer a prix-fixe menu that changes seasonally (?) for brunch and dinner. The ingredients here are high-quality and well prepared and cared for before serving. I've heard great things about Maple Ave from a friends, so I took my family here for dinner this past Wednesday. We really enjoyed the creativity of how the dishes were crafted and plated here and the execution was also phenomenal. This time around, it was 59.00 per person for a 4-course prix-fixe dinner (two appetizers, one entree, and one dessert). Since there were only a couple options per section, we were able to try all the options they had. FIRST: APPLE HAZELNUT SOUP Creamy, pale colored soup with a thicker consistency similar to butternut squash soup. It was lightly sweet, yet savory at the same time. There were some pickled apples and toasted hazelnuts delicately sprinkled on top that added a bit of a crunch. The soup was unique and we enjoyed it. FIRST: ROOTCAKE Between the rootcake and the apple hazelnut soup, the rootcake was my favorite. The vegetables were caramelized and made into a patty, topped generously with almonds with some umami aïoli and pimenton sauce. The rootcake was so good. Each bite was hearty and rich, and it's such a unique way to prepare vegetables. The sauce enhanced each bite and the almonds provided a nutty texture. I would recommend the rootcake as your first option. SECOND: CRISPY SQUASH NUGGETS I didn't think I would enjoy the crispy squash nuggets as much as I did. The roasted squash is breaded with panko crumbs, sitting in some dill yogurt sauce and topped with some raisins and radish. The squash were perfectly seasoned and crispy with a soft interior that left my taste buds wanting more. The dill yogurt sauce was a good complement. I'd definitely recommend this option if you're not a fan of mushrooms and/or you want something more crispy. SECOND: WILD MUSHROOM RISOTTO One of the best mushroom risottos I've ever had. It's rich and creamy, filled with truffle flavor. The shiitake mushrooms had a dry, crispy texture. The manchego shavings on top were a great plus. The squash was used for coloring and probably some flavoring? Not sure. The whole thing was really good and memorable. I'd definitely recommend! THIRD: SHRIMP I'm not a huge fan of shrimp, but my family loved it along with the citrus braised fennel. I was a fan of the creamy semolina, though! Overall, it wasn't for me, but that's more of a personal preference. THIRD: PORK CONFIT STEAK The pork they used was pork belly (?) and seared very nicely, topped with perfectly crispy potatoes, mangoes (?), brown butter sweet potato puree and chimi churri sauce. The pork belly melted in my mouth but as someone who's not the biggest fan of fatty pork, I wish it was a leaner cut. The potatoes were so good and went well with the sweet potato puree. Even though I didn't love the pork confit steak, I'd recommend this entree over the shrimp. FOURTH: MOCK FRIED "APPLE" PIE It was zucchini instead of apple and you can't even tell. I loved the crispy pie exterior which was lightly topped with cinnamon. The vanilla bean ice cream was my favorite as it was creamy and smooth. The dulce de leche and lavender honey were nice touches. Very nice way to end the meal. All the food here were so rich with lots of complex flavors. Each dish was so beautifully plated with many vibrant colors. We were quite full after all the food we ate. I would recommend coming here with another person to try all the options they offer here! The food here is unique and well-executed, and I'd be open to come back to try a different seasonal menu.

Recently, Eater DC published a list of what they considered the best steakhouses in the DMV…read more Randy's made the list. We were looking for a place to have our anniversary dinner. After seeing the list, we chose Randy's. Randy's is a Great American Restaurant, and I must say it's so good to go to a GAR with a menu different from the others. In the past, I've written about how one can go to Coastal Flats and get pretty much the same menu as, for example, Jackson's. We made a reservation for 5 p.m. on a Saturday. We arrived about a half hour early, so we asked if they could seat us right then and there. The people at the host stand said "yes". We were seated at a 4-top booth. Thus, there was plenty of room. The booths, which have mohair seat coverings, were a shade of green and quite attractive. The environment clearly says "upscale steakhouse." Our server was prompt in getting to us and asked if we wanted some water. We chose tap water. He gave us time to look over the menu. We decided to not have any appetizers as we didn't want to get too full. To drink, my husband got a glass of Catena Malbec while I got an Espresso Martini. Our server asked if we wanted some bread. We said "yes". The bread basket had 2 flaky, buttery croissants, plus a slice of white bread and a slice with raisins. For our main course, we both got the 7 oz. filet mignon cooked medium rare. We chose to try two sides. One side was "roasted asparagus" which consists of: "poached egg, parmesan (we asked for no cheese and our request was honored), truffled Bernaise aioli". The second side was "Honey roasted organic rainbow carrots," which were "dusted with candied walnuts". As for the food --- We both thought our steaks were properly cooked, However, my husband said his was on the dry side while mine was just right. We both really enjoyed the side dishes. The asparagus was unconventional, to be sure. Never did I have a poached egg with asparagus. I ate the egg, and it was properly cooked. Looking back, I should have thought to put some salt on it as there was none. The truffled sauce was creamy and added nice flavor. The carrots, to me anyway, were a pleasant surprise. The honey added a nice flavor along with the candied walnuts. They, too, were cooked perfectly. As for being "rainbow" carrots, most were orange, with some white and yellow ones. We had some room for dessert, so we decided to share "Tressa's crispy meringue filled with lemon curd and finished with passionfruit coulis". Since it was our anniversary dinner, a dollop of whipped cream was added to the plate. In that dollop was a lit candle, which was a nice touch. I found the coulis to be on the tart side. The lemon curd was mildly flavored. Service was excellent, though dessert took a while ,to arrive. All in all, a nice splurge and we're glad we came here. (Well...we didn't care for the traffic on Leesburg Pike, but the dinner made it worth the trip).

I roamed the floor for a bit and found it had multiple areas and a large bar section. The vibe is really good. Multiple seating arrangements, with banquets and tables. Our party of 4 sat at a table in a center area and still felt comfortable and not overly exposed. We were able to converse well and not be drowned out by traffic or noise. The service was outstanding and very professional. Attentive but not overbearing. We ordered drinks, appetizers, main course, and dessert. Everything was delicious and presentation was wonderful. We will definitely be returning soon!

Johnny was our server and was super positive, informative, and quick. The food came out quickly but well presented. We ordered two appetizers- the Cheese Curds and the Poke Nachos. Both EXCELLENT. The poke nachos were absolutely delicious- light, crunchy, and yummy. I got the Cumin Chili Shrimp tacos- they were crunchy and yummy. Good seasoning. I got corn tortillas. I ordered the Downeast Blackberry Cider which was also delicious. It was definitely very sweet but in a good way! The booth was spacious and TVs were playing. It wasn't too loud- you could hear each other talk, it was a good mix of sounds. Would definitely return!

The sauce was good with them though, but I only ate a few because I felt like it was starting to my stomach queasy. I probably wouldn't order them again. My friend also was not feeling them. - 8/10 The lobster garlic noddles were great but I felt like it needed a sauce like some type of soy garlic flavored sauce or similar to bring some wetness to the meal. But the flavor was good! - 10/10 Broccolini was great! I can't tell by the smell and taste that it was charred on the grill which was how I like it cooked. It was well seasoned too. Service: 8/10 Had great service! The hosts and waitresses were welcoming and kind. I do feel like the tables should already have silverware so I had to request it in order to eat my food. Ambiance: 8/10 I like the vibe here. My friend calls it an "upscale Friday's" lol. Prices were not too bad tho. Overall: 7.8 /10 I will be back but try something different
