I had a brand new water heater break, and while all of the parts were under warranty, it would've taken nearly a week to receive them from Rheem. I had to replace the gas valve, chamber and the pilot was last (after the first two parts did not do the job), even though the faulty part was explicitly due to a gas valve malfunction. This is the only place within a 25 mile radius that carried the part. Old school type of hardware/ plumbing store, did not disappoint. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and the price for the part would've been cheaper at the store than even Amazon. Rheem reimbursed me, but for future reference this place has better prices. I recommend this shop, wish there were more of these small businesses around. read more

Just double check the supplies though, they accidentally gave me the wrong size but they exchanged it (Keep your receipt!). I like that they know what they are very knowledgeable on plumbing versus if you go Home Depot or Lowe's (No knock on the workers there) they 9/10 of the time are unsure, granted they are just workers there and not experts. When you walk in you feel like it's a store from the 80-90s, old school feeling, even their cash registers look like it's from the 80s, and they give hand written receipts. These days customer service seems to be an afterthought for many but at B&Js it is at the forefront. They are ALL very knowledgeable and as a bonus they are all pleasant and welcoming. The prices are outrageous. They sold me a Moen Shower Faucet Set for $210, that Amazon had for $158. I also purchased a 2nd Moen shower faucet for $195 that Amazon had for $117. After I found them on Amazon I went to return their overpriced items, but had the nerve to charge me a15% restocking fee!! ($60) I get it that small businesses need to sell for more, but the mark ups at this place are beyond outrageous. I think they know their mostly Latino clientele doesn't have the time or resources to shop around for lower prices. They are taking advantage. Shame on them. This is the second time in the last three months I have had to contact this company for an obscure plumbing part. The first was a spray nozzle for a rather expensive Grohe, low profile, 15 yr. old, kitchen faucet...one week and $120.00 later, nailed it. Second time two weeks ago the bottom rack for an 18 yr. old, Kohler Riverfall laundry room sink in biscuit. The rack is now SS instead of vinyl coated metal. Bought two for $208.00. Just walking in here you can tell these guys know what they're doing, and have been doing in a really long time. I was switching dryers and had to replace the natural gas access valve in the house. Dave met me at the counter and was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about options, and exactly what to do. I can't say enough about this place. I'm redoing a bathroom and found this by chance when I wanted to look at a bathtub. If I can give this place a 0 stars, I would. Poor customer service. They are super nice, helpful and friendly if you give them the impression that you would buy from them. I was searching around for prices for a specific toilet, shower head, and bathtub for my bathroom-duh who wouldn't want to save money? Once the guy heard this, he started helping other customers and sadly, told us he would text us a quote the following day, which he never did. A few week later, I was desperate for a valve and since they had it in stock, I came to purchase it. The woman was so rude, insisting their items were better than Home Depot and scarring me with all these threats "oh I'll see you again cause those online guys are useless, You're stuff is crap". I'm sorry I saved over $500 with my online purchase and it's the manufacture warranted seller. Actually, I called and even told the man that I'm willing to purchase it from him if he honor the price. He said no, what am I supposed to do, not save money? And lastly, this is the reason why I would never go back...I came there to purchase a part for my toilet because I had broken it...again assumed they would have it in stock. We came near closing so this elderly man helped me. He kept requesting for the parts number...i told him several times I don't know...but he insisted I had to know for him to help me. He ended up leaving for the day without even letting me know. Then this other man came over and attempted to help, which he found the part. He told me he couldn't order or give me a price until the next day. He ended telling whomever he was on the phone (common don't be on the phone if you are helping a customer) that "there's these girls that is just wanting parts number and not buying from us. First of all, we never said that. We simply asked him for an estimate date of the item availability and part number to confirm with Toto. First of all, as a customer, we have the right to inquire about prices and it is our decision and rights if we do not want to proceed with sales. With that attitude and poor customer service, I ended up researching and found everything I needed. Will never go here ever again. Save your time, go to Home Depot or online...prices are much better and you don't have to hear them complain about everyone else but their store. I try to frequent local owned businesses, this location was a frequent visit when I had plumbing needs. Big box home improvement is across the road and is often less expensive but supporting the little guy is my motto UNTIL... so I walk in looking for a shower valve. They bring it out and it's 97.00!! Like ouch but I buy it anyway. Turns out I made a mistake and bought the cold valve and not the hot. I return to the location and the guy (owner I'm guessing) gives me attitude and makes a huffing and puffing about it. I am really taken back by this and he says to me would you buy this ? Puzzled I say I just did. He says again would you buy this?? I give side eye and say what's your point? You have a wrench mark on the stem!! Hmm yes he has a point I installed it and it had a mark but will it hinder anything? I say "it's a tiny scratch but I get it, sell me another one then". He stops and realizes he's the jerk and said I'm sorry but I can't sell it as new anymore. I said I agree sell me a new one. He proceeds to get me the hot valve that I need and says I'll give you a discount because I feel bad. He "gave" me the new valve for 75. It's a gesture but unfortunately the bad taste is there. Had I went to the big box home improvement and bought something, scratched it badly, they would happily still take it back as long as it works no questions asked. Thinking about supporting local businesses is supposed to mean better customer service or quality. None of which I feel I got by coming here. I have spent thousands when remodeling our bathrooms and upgrading my fixtures over the years. They won't get a single dollar from me again. Not sure what Joel's issue was . I bought a faucet to replace one in order to install a water machine to it. The one I purchased ended up being the wrong configuration than what I needed. I went back with pictures to get another one a few days later and had the configuration, and threading I needed to be compatible. The guy who helped me then was nice in seeing if the threading would fit, it seemed to fit in the store ok but when I got home it wasn't possible to tighten down all the way and make it not leak so instead of wasting my time I returned it ... Joel insisted it came with a drain assembly.. it didn't not I told him . He didn't believe me and went back to find another box and confirmed I was not a liar. Then he asked why did you buy something and then return it again? I told him i was hoped and he thought it would be compatible with the threading and it wasn't . He then said it was missing a ring on the aerators. I never touched the aerator.. the person helping did to see if it would fit. I told him that to which he said "it's always someone else's fault huh" .. accused me of being a liar again . I appreciate you taking the return, I really do . But accusing me of lying repeatedly, no thank you . I won't be back . read more

I love BJ's and I love discounts so what could be better? I found these guys during a Google search for a specific Toto toilet model. I wasn't satisfied with the prices I was seeing so I found these guys on Page 6. I wasn't able to purchase directly from the website so I called the number and spoke with Gil. Gil was able to help me out and get me the advertised price for three Toto Ultramax IIs with an overall savings of $500 compared to other sites including Amazon. Not only was he able to get me the best price he was able to get a local supplier close to my home deliver them for free. I had great service from Gil, great prices and even great cooperation from their supplier ToddPipe by delivering on a specific date since I was going to be out of town. Not only were they friendly and helpful but they also took the time to explain each option available to me. They were near closing but they never rushed me out. I called this company today with hopes in finding a piece to my shower I have been having a hard time finding. These guys had it in stock. It also came with the piece that is not included when you purchase at Home Depot, and Lowes stores. Now, not only was it cheaper, but it was available now as to a week shipping via Home Depot or Lowes. On top of it when I called to ask if they had the part in stock they spent the time to check to make sure they had it and they even asked me what was going on with my shower for me to ask for this part, and confirmed that this was the part I needed! I'm not sure what the trick is here, but my husband and I came in to buy a toilet. The handwritten sign on the display said about $90...but the rep said $160. Ok we bought what we needed and paid in full and went home to wait for them to order the product. They called us the following morning saying that the manufacture is out of stock for the product we bought and it would be 2 weeks wait, OR buy another toilet for $295. I told the rep I will discuss with my husband and let them know what we decide to. My husband came back a day later, two days after the call, and he was told that they DO have the toilet and it's available for pick the next day!! How did it go from "no available stock for 2 weeks" to "we have some thing for you to pick up tomorrow" in less than 3 days?? Either they didnt truly do their homework or they magically found me a 10" rough in toilet in 1 day after the call when the one we paid for is supposedly out of stock at the manufacturer for 2 weeks. I might not need another toilet for a long time, but that doesnt mean BJs should "get 'em" when they do read more

I showed what I needed and the employee turned around and grabbed a box, then spent a few minutes checking the old piece to make sure it would work. A high recommend.
