Um how have I never been here in the decade that I've lived in Chicago?! Everything was on point - creative, delicious, and whetted my appetite for said food item and made me only want more. My friends and I ordered different things - I got the salmon tartare and enjoyed the layered textures and burst of flavor that each component added to the dish. The crispy rice was v crispy and so so good. We all shared the bruleed bananas - what a fun dessert with so many fun textures and flavors that elevated the dessert beyond just average. Service was great and the restaurant was spacious and easily accommodated my group of 5. Def putting this place on my radar for future repeat outings.
I have added another regret to my short list of life's regrets: walking by bixi over 50 times and finally, just now, trying this place. Big mistake on my end, don't be like me. Get in, go with a group, go HAM. This place is amazing. We went on a rainy saturday evening. We basically ordered the whole menu, and everything hit. My favorites were the garlic scallion noodles, dragon roll, rangoon royale, and pork drunken noodles. The service was amazing. Our server was prompt, answered questions, gave great recommendations, and was just having a great time with us! This is definitely a great spot for a little group of friends to do a communal dinner!
Bixi just seemingly somehow gets better every time I go. Cocktail menu is always reliably great, the vibes are beautiful with the roof open, and even if the roof is closed and it's rainy it's just such a delightful space with the white pairing with the plants. Finally made it for one of the lunches and loved having some smaller plates to choose from, especially that Italian beef bao which screams Chicago and was delicious with a ton of meat. Also the rose teokbokki is so fantastic, surprisingly filling, but delicious. And the classic chicken sandwich is now only on the lunch menu, just be sure to ask for extra ssamjang. Can't wait to return!
I super loved this spot! The ambiance, the service and the food! The hostess killed it at first because she was rude but it's a great thing the server was amazing! He was extremely attentative! So we ordered a lot to try a lot of different items! I super loved the Garlic Noodles...it was my fave but everything was great...a lot of items on their menu was the first time I've tried them. Definitely, worth going to!
It's warming up which means it's a great time to dine at the Bixi atrium/patio! It's a really beautiful space, with the downstairs being more moody while the upstairs atrium/patio has a ton of natural light. The gochugaru fries are amazing, they're cooked in beef tallow and the seasoning is a bit sweet and spicy with a bit of lime. Rice crepe with pork was really good, the pork was fatty and marinated in a sweet and savory sauce. It came with some lettuce for wrapping and nuoc cham (fish sauce. It's a vietnamese style crepe with turmeric so it's savory rather than sweet. The beef tartare was just ok, I wasn't too fond of the seasoning. The cumin lamb noodles were great, and a huge portion size as well. I liked the hand pulled noodle texture and the lamb was super tender/flavorful. I brought leftovers to my partner and she enjoyed it, even though she typically finds lamb too gamey. I had the rules of the rhein beer which comes in a nice tall glass. It's a nice light beer that pairs well with their food. The server was nice and attentive. Honestly I'd come back just for a beer and the gochugaru fries, it's the perfect after-work snack. Reservation was super easy to make through their website, although there were plenty of spots on a weeknight around 6pm.
Went to an event here and the rooftop / patio area is SO CUTE Definitely coming back for food and drinks! The bartenders and staff were fantastic
This is a a solid recommendation with unique Asian fusion flavors mixed with non traditional Asian dishes. There was a lot of construction a block down but it was easily walking distance from the subway station, and the place was not crowded at all on a Monday night. The best dish was easily the gochugaru fries, fried in beef fat and topped with a gochujang like seasoning with that sweet and spicy Korean flavor. Other good ones included the crepe, which reminded me a lot of pho including the veggies and bean sprouts, and the cumin lamb noodles. The biggest let down was the beef tartare, which had pine nuts and a vinaigrette underneath a giant rice cracker. Texture wise it's good mixing crunchy with the softness of the beef, but taste wise the beef didn't have enough meaty salty umami flavor imo, just sweetness.
3.5 stars We thought it was a mixed bag at Bixi but I doubt we will return. I must have walked past this place a hundred times but never thought of stepping inside, it is so unattractive outside. Inside was a pleasant surprise, it's pretty and comfortable. Our server was very good, he made suggestions and explained everything on the 3 menus well. We started with kimchi (good), cucumber salad (not good), rangoon royales (disppointing, couldn't detect any crab or lobster) and egg rolls (good but we ate the best rolls ever last week, at Pulilgu down the street). We ate the char siu bahn mi (ok but nothing special, needed a more flavorful pate) and the char siu burger (good). All in all it was ok but forgettable.
Omg I can't believe I discovered this gem . The ambiance is beautiful especially for a date night , but I went during happy hour . The prices were reasonable during that hour for oysters. I loved every second of eating their oysters because the flavors were so connected . You have to try the EAST oysters ! The service was exceptional. I was the only person there fora little bit , so I had my own server who was checking on me during my time . I will be back .
BiXi Beer is a fun twist of pan-Asian and Italian dishes. When we went, they had $5 draft beers and my friend enjoyed them. I got the Flamingoh cocktail which was very strong but had a plastic-like taste and edible glitter (which I was not expecting). For food, we shared the rose tteokbokki, scallion garlic noodles, and pork drunken noodles. Unfortunately, the pork drunken noodles had peanuts which was not clear on the menu so I didn't get to try it, but my friends said it was good. Our favorite dish was the scallion garlic noodles because of the homemade, thick, and chewy noodles. I give the food a 3.5/5 simply because I've had better Asian noodles for much cheaper and I've had better Italian food without Asian-inspired flavors. We also were able to participate in their Mahjong night which was super fun! Everyone was super friendly and helpful throughout the night. I can see myself coming back for another event like this. Also, street parking is hard to find but there is a lot behind the Target across the street with paid parking.
I honestly didn't know what to expect going into BiXi Beer, but it was phenomenal! We went for Chicago restaurant and made a 9:00 reservation. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the host who let us know we could sit in a little lounge area or at the bar until our table was ready. While we waited, the bartender was quick to get our order and have light conversation while he did some cleaning. We ended up waiting about 15-20 minutes past our reservation time for a table which normally would be a red flag; however, we were having a great conversation and the hostess was quick to acknowledge and apologize for the delay due to only upstairs seating being available. I love a restaurant that excels at their wins but can also acknowledge & address any flaws. After we were seated, the hostess walked us through all the menu options, and we were quickly greeted by our waitress with water at the ready! While we were looking over the menu, I took some time to admire the decor & can honestly say there is not a bad seat in the house, and it is an elevated yet home-y atmosphere. Our waitress was prompt to return and get our food orders. We got the wontons, egg rolls, Bixi Make, garlic noodles, short rib, milk & cookies, and yuzu tiramisu. THE MEAL JUST KEPT GETTING BETTER WITH EACH COURSE!! And I say that with the starting point being a high bar set by rich and moist wontons & egg rolls, so you really can't order wrong here. All of the dishes were flavorful, visually appealing, and unique in there own ways, but I can truly not give enough recognition to the Yuzu tiramisu. Again, EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING, but the tiramisu was delicate in texture with the citrus providing a light citrus cleanse to your palette and the perfect level of sweetness to satisfy your sweet tooth hankering without feeling like you over indulged. Overall, I will DEFINITELY be back to BiXi and recommend it to anyone in the area!
The entrance is very unassuming, but once you step inside, you're greeted with a cozy, moody atmosphere on the first floor. Upstairs, there's a stunning open-window sunroof with lush trees and plants that create such a serene vibe. The menu offers a wide range of Asian fusion dishes, including plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, which was a huge plus. I tried the Cauliflower Bao, the bao was incredibly soft and slightly sweet, while the cauliflower was nicely breaded with a light, spicy kick. It was really delicious. I also ordered the Crab Rangoon Royale, which I had high expectations for because of the name. While the crab rangoons were freshly breaded and had a distinct seafood flavor in the filling, they weren't as sweet as I typically expect. They were good, but not the best I've ever had. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere here. I'd definitely recommend checking it out!
Food was good. The lighting is cute. Has a weird smell in the first floor main lobby. Service was average.

Came here with some friends after looking at some pictures on yelp. However, we were not aware that the second floor was not open to the public due to being short staffed. If you want to eat here, you must make reservation through an app called Resy. On top of that, you must add your credit card information and they have a penalty fee if you don't cancel an hour before your reservation time. Quite a few steps just to eat at this restaurant. They do not have the beer flights menu at the moment so you just need to order the beers separately. I ordered the lychee lime kombucha drink hoping to try something new with the lychee flavor, but there was no lychee taste at all and it was all lime. If you want to order this thinking you will be having a lychee drink, don't order this. You will be disappointed. Now onto the food. Everyone should get the fries! I usually don't like thin cut and crispy fries, but these fries were full of flavor and addicting. We also ordered the chicken burgers, the pork belly chow fun, the Yibin style belt noodles , the potstickers and a vietnamese crepe. The food was decent but I wish the Yibin noodles was saucier and had more to it My friends and I though it tasted like noodles mixed in the angry crab sauce. Overall, this place was decent and I still enjoyed the food. Maybe in the future I will come back again to check out the 2nd floor. read more

We ate at bixi for the first time yesterday for an early dinner. We ordered the cucumber salad, the gochugary fries, the burger and the scallion noodle. All the food was great. Our server Julian was great. I was surprised when we got the bill and realized we were charge $15 for 3 iced teas. I'm really not that cheap and I realize this is a nice restaurant but I don't think I've ever been charged for refills on iced teas at any other restaurant in the city. This includes nice restaurants. This won't deter me from coming here again but I was put off by it. read more
Looking for a good space for Asian fusion food, beer, and great drinks in a spacious room with a long bar and great mood lighting with appropriately controlled music? You got your spot in logan. Even better they have a happy hour every day. First at the bar get a free shot which was a fun find Saturday. The happy hour menu was fantastic they have a variety of drinks including a favorite the dangerous union a great mezcal drink. We had a few small plates to share all of which were bursting with flavor all with an Asian fusion kimchi with fermented shrimp, cucumber salad with chili oil, fries with a gochugang ketchup, and egg rolls. The prices were fantastic and the portions filled us up. Highly recommend read more
This was not a good experience. The staff's capabilities were poor, the food was mediocre, and the prices are way too high for what it is. We sat in the upper bar area, which was ok--it's sunny and bright with some plants inside. My party of two got there earlier one evening around 5pm and was told there was nothing available, just the bar, until 9pm. I kid you not, almost the ENTIRE restaurants was empty. But ok, maybe all those reservations will be flooding in soon? Spoiler: they did not. By the time we left there were plenty of seats. Our server/bartender was a goofball--not necessarily a bad thing, but he was distracted by his friends the entire evening and had generally weird behavior verging on obnoxious. Him and the other bartender completely forgot our drink order, which we eventually requested it just not be made since our food was coming out. To their credit they still decided to make the drink and comp it, but by that point we were eating our meal and my partner no longer had a desire for a drink at that point. As for the food, it was all extremely mediocre, some of it just stupid, for lack of a better word. The rangoons were not cooked well enough. The dough was *almost* raw, absolutely no crispyness. I LOVE crab rangoons and these made me sad and a bit mad. Total waste of calories. The kimchi was ridiculous and stupid. Worst kimchi I've ever had and that's coming from one of the whitest people alive. This place had HUGE slabs of hard kimchi you could barely fit into your mouth and the worst part was it was none of the leafy part, it was all the hard white part of the plant, which doesn't really absorb any flavors or break down. The noodle dish I ordered was a bit too rich and unbalanced, very dark sauce with not much to balance it with. But probably a good dish if you were suuuper hungry? The chicken sando was nothing special. read more

Cool place! Tasty sour beer & my fried rice with chicken was yummy although it had a bit of a fishy taste (fish sauce?) which I wasn't crazy about but didn't hate either. It also had excessive bean sprouts but that's my personal preference; I removed 95% of them lol. My friend got the Rose Tteokbokki; it was a bit spicy for her but had decent flavor. The bartender told us it's a popular & well-liked dish I don't live around here so I wouldn't seek it out again but always nice to have new experiences! read more

I'd followed this place on Instagram all summer and was happy to see they reopened for one more weekend during the autumn heat wave. I booked a table for 6 on the rooftop for my birthday. We were seated promptly and our server came by quickly to introduce us to the menu and describe some of the beers. The beers were great. Easy-to-drink bases with interesting flavor additions that matched their cuisine. I would describe the food as Chinese fusion. Traditional dishes with an upscale twist. Our server was great at answering questions about the dishes and giving guidance on portion sizes. I ordered the Yibin Style noodles and very impressed! Tons of flavor and tender noodles. A little too much sauce but I was happy to take home the leftovers to put over rice later. Several people ordered the Pork Belly Chow Fun.. and if I had been hungrier, I would have ordered it as well. The pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The dish was slightly spicy and had my favorite - lotus root! It was also my cousin's first time in Chicago so we had to order him the Bixi Handshake - A shot of malort with a light lager chaser! He took it like a champ! Their dining room is closed now for the rest of the year but we'll be back to order beer and food for takeout! read more
We had the most delightful evening on Bixi Beer's patio for dinner! I couldn't wait to get on here and share our wonderful experience! First of all, we are so thankful that the Resy reservations were for open air seating! So many places will only do reservations for indoors and have first-come-first-serve, which is counter productive during this time of COVID-19! THANK YOU BIXI! We loved the patio seating...gorgeous and spacious! The upstairs bar area also has the roof entirely opened...so that was a safe option, too. Green, open, chic, and gorgeous! And staff were super friendly and helpful! Yay! We started out with beers! My spouse got the Michigan Cherry Beer and liked it! He thought it had hints of cherry and licorice. I started with the Rules of the Rhein! Oh my goodness...I LOVED IT! The hints of Jasmine tea was deliciously refreshing and subtle! We started with the pork, shrimp, and cabbage pot stickers and they were sooooo good! The hot sauce and soy vinegar were soooo delicious that we kept it for the rest of our meal! With our meals, my spouse got a guest IPA and loved it! I got the 1 Wit of Summer Refreshment and found the subtle tartness to be delightful on a warm evening! Now to the meals! My spouse got the Spicy Fried Chicken Sando! Yum yum yum! Perfectly crispy and perfectly spiced and saucy! I might have to try it next time! I got the Chicken Gong Bao and it is one of my favorite things I've ever eaten. Delightfully spicy and saucy! Fresh and perfectly cooked zucchini and squash! Chicken grilled to perfection! Szechuan peanuts! And lightly spiced steamed rice. I should NOT have eaten it all in one seating...but I couldn't stop because it was so good!!! This dish is to die for and will keep me coming back! What a perfect night of safe and delicious eating! Thanks for an incredible dinner, Bixi! See you next time! read more

My girlfriend was so excited to try this place primarily because it had favorite items for both of us (I admit, I'm a picky eater). We made a reservation for a Sunday evening, were warmly greeted, and both the drink and food menu were digital. All staff wore masks and tables were more than 6ft apart from each other. It definitely felt like a safe environment! Now onto the delicious food. We ordered the pork & shrimp pot stickers, the frites, the double cheeseburger and the yibin style noodles. Even though I couldn't try the pot stickers because I'm allergic, they were "to die for". As for everything else, I'm already thinking about when I'm going to go back and eat it all again. The frites were so well-seasoned, after the burger I want a japanese milk bun on everything I eat, and the noodles? Wow. Remember when I said I was a picky eater? Well, even those noodles stole my heart. OH! We had a couple of drinks too, but the star of the show came out of the slushy machine. Ask for that. P.S. The dough for the pot stickers and noodles had that 'handmade energy'. read more
Walking down the street and this spot caught our eye. They had just opened the bar upstairs for the day (around 3pm I believe it was) so we went up there and had a drink. The happy hour menu was small. The guy behind the bar was super nice. We were the only people there. I got a cocktail and my boyfriend just grabbed a beer. My cocktail was pretty good! You have to have a reservation to sit and eat up there so after our drinks we left. The rooftop is pretty, the decor is nice and they've made the ambiance very appealing. Would come back and try the food. read more
Went to Bixi Beer to check out their happy hour, 3-5 PM Sunday through Friday. Tried the First Cut and Sucker Punch cocktail, both refreshing and sweet (but not too sweet). Ordered the beef fat fries, potstickers, red ocean and dragon turtle sushi rolls. Yum! All were delicious, excited to return to try more items on the menu! We were sat upstairs under the retractable roof area, very bright and lots of plants. It was rainy that day so would love to sit on the outdoor patio next time. Service was great, very attentive and quick! read more

[BIXI Beer] Michelin Plate Awarded Asian-American Brewery and Restaurant This is their Korean Fried Chicken Wednesday special consisting of Thai Sweet Chili / Spicy Korean BBQ, Japchae, the most addicting beef fat fries, bunch of sides (kimchi, potato salad, etc) and comes with a beer and a shot of soju Also ordered their Cumin Lamb (last image) and it had the freshest made pasta *most of their dishes are spicy so this restaurant may not be for you if you cannot handle spice It was relatively cheap and so so good. I definitely would come again to this place, esp on a Wednesday for the special. 2515 N Milwaukee Ave Chicago, IL 60647 read more

Had a little higher expectations for this restaurant. We got seated for a party of 3 upstairs on the rooftop. The rooftop is a clean and airy atmosphere and was pretty busy. We got a cute table for us and our server was super friendly and prompt. We were looking forward to other entrees that we have heard of, but we were told that they typically change their menus often. We ordered beef fat fries, potstickers, togarashi burger, yibin style noodle, and shrimp scampi. The food was pretty small portion sizes overall. I did absolutely love the whistleblower drink I ordered with the calamansi flavor. Everything was about $130 including tip and tax. Definitely check it out for the beautiful aesthetics. read more

Good service good food. Had a great environment and friendly staff. In house brews were delicious also. Thank you guys read more
Bixi beer is a brewery right with a large, bright and open dining / bar area. I went in the winter and didn't get to enjoy their patio but have heard it's also quite the treat. While I didn't try any of their beer, the drink I had was great. Our server was great and all the staff were very friendly. Appetizers came out quick. We ordered the potstickers, which were so juicy and flavorful, the wings, which were perfectly crispy and had so much flavor, and the cucumber salad which was refreshing and light. I'd recommend all three. I got the smoked eel appetizer for my entree and it was a bit strange but wasn't bad. Just a weird combination of flavors in my opinion. The boba sundae is also to die for if you have any room left over after your meal. read more
Overall really nice vibe! We didn't get to see the other areas besides main floor since a wedding was going on, but still really cool! The food was delicious! Came on a Monday to experience the Owen and Engine winter residency. Got their burger, which was one thick boy. It was covered in a bed of caramelized onions which provided a nice sweetness. Other than that the burger lacked flavor. The patty itself was like a slab of beef with little taste. The bun suprisingly held its integrity even with all that meat and juice on it. The fries that accompanied the burger were good. Some were a little undercooked but overall tasty. Finally, the malt vinegar mayo was alright. I wish it had a more defined flavor. At the end of the day, I was able to try the burger before they closed up shop and will probably never experience a thicker patty in my life. If I had more time I would come back and try the banger and mash as everyone else there was eating that. read more
Bixi (pronounced be-she) Beer offers a variety of Asian fusion bites from Kimchi Mandu to Sweet Potato Bao. So if you're expecting some authentic Asian cuisine, this is definitely not your place. Sorry! But if you're looking for some interesting eats with Asian-esque flavors, you're gonna enjoy it here! I had a flight of three beers but none of them were really spectacular, unfortunately... I guess that just means I'll have to go back and try three more! It was still bustling here when we arrived at 9pm, so considering how busy it was the service was pretty good and the staff were friendly. P.S. The upstairs decor is "instaworthy" for sure. ;) read more

This place, honestly I was blown away. The food is very very good. I got the cumin lamb noodles, the beef fat fries and a cocktail. The cumin lamb noodles were okay. I wasn't a fan of the lamb but the noodles were very yummy. But those beef fat fries were incredible. Better than Mcdonald's for sure. I got a piece of the fried chicken to make up for the lamb I didn't like and it was amazing. Some of the best chicken I have ever had. That skin was delicious. I will be back. I need to try the burger. The service was slow but they were understaffed but they were very friendly. It was dark in there, I don't know why every restaurant these days is so dark hahah. read more

The ambiance was very cool and menu has a lot of options. We were very excited to try. Service was fine. Food was absolutely terrible. I never write reviews, but genuinely want to help someone else not spend $70 here. The egg rolls were fine. Nothing special. We got the cucumber salad. Weird flavor. Really had two bites and couldn't stomach it. $16 of highway robbery. Next was the cauliflower bao buns. Again, fine. Fried rice which you would think is a no brainer was HORRIBLE. The odor was pungent. Not sure what it smelled like, but it was nasty. My boyfriend described it as the smell of "cat food". We barely ate our meals. Had an embarrassing amount left to the point where we actually put it in a box. Immediately threw it out when we left. Don't waste your money. read more

The vibes and beer are amazing! I think the food can be hit or miss, but we had more hits than misses. The jeju island beer was one of my more favorite beers I've had in awhile - it's definitely one of the best locally brewed beers. I think the Rangoon, mushroom egg rolls, spicy cucumbers, and the spicy chicken sandwich were 10/10. The only items that were meh were the noodle dishes - scallion garlic noodles as well as the pork drunken noodle. read more

We came here for our 5th anniversary. It is a place that we have been wanting to check out for a while however every time we go upstairs is booked. This time I planned in advance and booked a reservation online for what I thought was the upstairs atrium area. however for some reason I was put into the downstairs tap room which has been available every time I've gone. I was a little annoyed by this just because I wanted this evening to be special and We were unable to hang out upstairs. I will say that management did offer to put us in a private room upstairs however we would be the only people in there. So 1st tip would be if you're booking your reservation on the online system if you want to be upstairs in the open atrium book the indoor/outdoor feature even though it will likely be closed because of weather. Call and confirm your seating as booking thru Resy it was not very clear. I thought when I was booking the inside I was securing the inside upstairs because I had previously been told that they weren't taking reservations for the downstairs. Onto the fun stuff. The food was really good and our server was such a delight. She definitely tried to make up for my disappointment of being downstairs in the tap room. We sat in a booth which was nice and had a good view of the tap room. For drinks I ordered the vodka cocktail and my husband got a dark beer. for a follow up drink I also got the heiweizen beer which was pretty tasty. For food we got the crab rangoons and they were pipeing hot and full of seafood and so delicious. I will say the price is pretty high for an appetizer but they were so good and probably the best that we've ever had. For dinner we decided to split the double Burger with fries and that was pretty delicious. We also opted to get the potstickers and the sauce that came with those were pretty good period between the 2 appetizers I probably for value and taste would go for the potstickers again. Not to downplay the ragoons but $21 is pretty pricey for an appetizer. All in all we had a really good experience and it was nice because there were other bars and parking nearby. Also there is a Jeni's ice cream nearby so you could go there for dessert. Definitely would come back what come back especially on a Thursday when you can get half price off your growler. Service at this restaurant was really fast and everything went smoothly as far as execution. Hot find: Certain days have specials and on Thursdays you can get half price off your growler. They have growlers you could buy there or you could bring your own I think our growler ended up being only $10. read more

There's a reason Bixi beer is known for their drinks, they're all phenomenal. I've visited a few times in the last year and the drinks have never let me down. Located in the heart of Logan Square, Bixi Beer is a trendy bar with beautiful interiors and and incredible atrium/rooftop. Like most restaurants with a lot of foot traffic in COVID times, I'd suggest a reservation. My favorite drink to order is the Public Appeal cocktail, but I've also tried their frozen Malort cocktail (which is surprisingly good) and the Dangerous Union is another good one. The menu is Asian inspired and while I like it in theory, the execution doesn't quite do it for me. From their medium menu, I've ordered their fried rice, potstickers and wings. The fried rice is my favorite. The wings were a bit on the small side and didn't have much flavor and the pot stickers were just a bit on the cooler side. I've also had their beef bao buns and their chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich is by far my favorite thing that I've had there. The beef bao buns were also on the colder side temperature wise and just didn't have a ton of flavor. Note: I think me experiencing cold food was just an off day in the kitchen. Like I said, I've gone a few times since my first visit and never had an issue with the temperature of my food since. Everything is plated so beautifully, the staff is courteous and helpful, and the decor is gorgeous that you'd be silly not to give this place a try. read more

Honestly i'm obsessed with this place. I kept passing it on the street and it looked so beautiful from the outside that I knew I needed to try it out. Walking in the host greeted us and seated us immediately. The downstairs area is decorated so beautifully and has such a nice ambiance. We got taken upstairs to another beautiful seating area. Honestly I think this is one of the prettiest restaurants i've ever been in, I just adored it. I got the drunken noodles and they were delicious!!! The drinks were also good and it was a perfect spot for a girls night out. We had a great time, the service was great, the atmosphere is amazing, the food and drinks were great, 5 stars from me!! read more
Good place for casual dining. Very trendy hipster ambiance. Take that however you like... The Yibin style noodles were absolutely fantastic! After I ate all the noodles, I took the leftover sauce and veggies home to have with white rice. Crispy chicken wings were also delicious, well seasoned, and perfectly crispy. I liked the Thai sweet chili sauce most to pair with the chicken. The burger was pretty standard. Nothing to write home about. Unfortunately, the Italian beef bao were our least favorite of the night. The beef was dry and the house giardinera lacked flavor. read more
Great beer and great food. We came on a Wednesday night when they have an awesome $20 KFC deal! We got beer, a shot of soju, korean fried chicken, and lots of food for $20. For the korean fried chicken, there are the spicy korean, salt and pepper, and sweet and sour sauces to choose from. My favorite by far was the salt and pepper!! The spicy korean was also good, but the sweet and sour was just ok so I probably would not get that one again. This $20 deal also came with frites, japchae, and banchan. The frites were great and the japchae was really tasty too! It had great flavor and the right level of spice. We got a variety of banchan and some of it was good but some of it was meh. After all these drinks and food we were very full! Overall a good place to come and I definitely recommend the $20 deal on Wednesday. read more

I was so excited to come here because as an Asian-American, I have never experienced an Asian-American brewery in Chicago, right in my neighborhood. Reservations were easily made online and I had no issues on the day of my reservation. The establishment was following all the COVID-19 guidelines (tables spaced out and staff were all wearing masks). Some of the drinks I ordered the day of included: - Rules of the Rhein (house draft) - +1 Wit of Refreshment (house draft) - Lychee Lime (guest hard kombucha) - Negroni (cocktail) My favorites were definitely the +1 Wit of Refreshment and the Lychee Lime. Both were light and very refreshing. For food, my table shared the nuoc cham (fish sauce) and Korean bbq crispy wings and frites. If you go, you HAVE TO order the frites. They're cooked in beef fat and sprinkled with furikake (seaweed seasoning) and It comes with spicy tobiko mayo as a dipping sauce. The frites were so good, our table had to order another one. As for my main dish, I ordered the spicy fried chicken sando. Another delicious thing, definitely worth trying. What I loved about the sandwich was that it had a sweet bun, which balanced well with the chicken. Will definitely be back here for the great atmostphere, food, and drinks! Update: Came back for dinner here since their upstairs/patio is finally open and I got to experience the larger menu! We ordered frites once again, but then we shared the ssam plate and that was delicious. My friend and I got so full from sharing the plate, I had to cancel my chicken sando. For dessert, we ended up sharing the brown sugar boba sundae which was soooo freaking good. You can tell everything was fresh and all made in the kitchen. Also, shout out to our aweSSAM server, Casey! Super friendly and helpful on everything. Will be back for more beers and food in the patio once the weather gets nicer! read more

First dining experience in Logan Square did not disappoint! Reservations are encouraged, as we spent about 30 minutes waiting for bar seating on a busy Friday evening. Worth it though! Our waiter was very friendly, walked us down the entire menu choosing his favorites. Chicago style bao puns were definitely unique and im happy I experienced it but the fresh oysters stole the show. A must try in Logan Square read more

The sandwiches look like sliders? Are they really that small? For those price points I would hope not
It's not a slider. I've had both Chicken Sando and Breakfast sandwich.
