It is very hard to find a pharmacy that cares about their customers and I have found one of the greatest ever. They know you by name, they care about you and will go the extra mile to make sure you are well taken care of. Other large pharmacies don't care, usually out of medications and have no recommendations for where and when to get it. Yes, this is the place to go to save money. The Owner beats all other Pharmacies in the Area. Come here to pick up some Meds, and have a friendly chat with the Staff. Never had to wait longer than 5 minutes. The place is "old School" and in a good way. The Owner has his View about European politics, and I have mine. LOL! So we clash every few weeks when I pick up some stuff. While there, you can pick up some Drinks and Candy, too. Very friendly place. Good Prices. No wait. 5 Stars. Period. read more

I've been going here since I was little, er, shorter, er, in the single digits. Earaches, pink eye, accidental bobby pin wall socket electrocution.... you see there was a hospital at this lot as well. And after any of my visits, it was to the pharmacy to get the script filled. Some days it was just a walk with my babysitter to get candy. It's still a good long walk to get here... for a newspaper in the stand, and then just to let Bixby Pharm know I haven't forgotten, sometimes a little sweet, eh, a candy bar, a soda, a nail clipper, what have you. And on the rare occasion, when I come down with mild ebola, I hand Mr. Pharmacist my script and he tells me on the spot how long he will be to fill it. or if he can't -where I should go, and sometimes offers to drop it off. And he actually looks in my eyes to see if the light is on or someone is home. I think he and his staff really get it that on the other side of the counter, us customers might be a bit, uh, sick, and not processing sound very well. I think this might be why I drop by when I'm well too, because they are so nice when I'm not feeling well, and just as nice when I'm picking up a candy bar, um, newspaper. read more

I do want to say the gentlemen was ver nice.. I am very disappointed in this pharmacy. My Dad has Medicare and I was notified that Walgreen was no longer a preferred pharmacy. So I found Bixby and it was listed as a preferred pharmacy. I had all his medication transferred, they said they would call me in 2 days to get insurance info, 4 days goes by and no call.... I call them they take his insurance info, I only needed one medication filled at this time. The next day I get a call they can't fill his prescriptions because they are name brand??? I'm confused and really get no explanation on why they dont fill name brand... so he says he has to send back to Walgreen and I need to call Insurance for a preferred pharmacy. I was told by my primary doctor that if I was ever in a bind that the pharmacist at Bixby Pharmacy was a great resource. I was recently diagnosed with a serious illness and my regular chain pharmacy was unable or unwilling to do the extra effort to help me, thankfully the Pharmacist (at Bixby)was very willing, and took the time to take care of me. It just goes to show that small Neighborhood businesses are still worth going to. They care about their customers and can take more time than the chain stores. read more

Fred & his staff are always so friendly & helpful. Everything is usually ready to go & they are quick to get it to you. I've witnessed how they go out of their way to help customers that were in distress. They've even waited for me to get there if I'm cutting it close w/getting off work in time before they close. Fred also made the EXTREME effort of hand delivering me my prescription to my house one time!! (I lived around the corner from them then, so DON'T expect that on the reg haha!) Anyhow, customer service is on point to say the least. They make me smile, laugh & I leave there happy, so that's all that really matters to me!! read more

I switched from the big retail chain pharmacies after several problems with my mother in laws medications, and what Medicare will pay for. How it changes from store to store is beyond me. Cvs doesn't cover her patches for her blood pressure but ralphs does? Ralphs doesn't cover her strips(diabetic) but cvs does. I was so happy when our primary Doctor moved into his new office. They have a pharmacy located right in the same building. Already, sounds perfect right. The next perfect thing are Fred the pharmacist and his techs. Everyone is very kind and my 3 year old of course loves this place because they sell treats. lol We will be filling all our prescriptions here from now on. read more

Bixby pharmacy offers everything that any other pharmacy can offer, but at lower prices. They are a small Mom and Pop shop and cannot carry everything in stock, but they tell you when it will be available and they have never been inaccurate yet. I have been going here for a few years and their Word is their bond, no follow-up phone calls are necessary. As for service, it is definitely customer friendly! I have been a Customer Service Manager for many years and they meet and exceed customer service expectations! Come in and have a taste of what Customer Service is all about! They exemplify the word Trust-they are honest about what they can or cannot do. If they are short, they will normally ask if you would like the remainder mailed to you so you do not have to make an additional trip to their store. Not to mention the unbeatable prices!!! Fred. IS THE BEST $$$$ Around. My testosterone injection for 10ml bottle $70. OMG. ITS $115-$120 at Walgreens or any other place. Fast 10min to fill. 15 years I been coming here. Not all the time cause of the distance I have to drive. 5 miles is worth saving $40. Thanks Fred. read more

Owner is a total jerk. Two days were wasted driving to Bixby Pharmacy to pick up a prescription that was told would be there. No call, no nothing to say that it would not be ready after all. The girls there never smile. They look miserable working there. Prices are great, but not worth the crappy service and lack of professionalism. Located in the Woodruff Medical Doctors Offices Building. The pharmacy dispenses drugs and sells a whole grip of other stuff like snacks, soda, ice cream, and healthcare needs. The technicians here can speak Spanish and work relatively quickly to meet your needs. Usually don't wait for more than 15 minutes for a prescription to be filled. There are also chairs available while you are waiting. The pharmacy definitely feels a bit different than your local chain drug store (ie CVS, Walgreens). read more

I love this pharmacy. It's a mom and pop vibe, close to my home and their prices are ridiculous. The staff recognize me by face and name. My brother told me about this gem when they charged him a fraction of the price the usual drug stores charged when his dog needed glaucoma medication. read more

Great Pharma, however they have been in my eyes "Tossed Under the Bus" by the DEA, all because Fred is trying to do nothing but right by his pain management customers. The DEA stated that he is selling more Pain medication that several other chain Pharmacies collectively. This unfortunately put him under the spotlight. I am very sad about this and my heart goes out to him. I am a pain management patient and now have to go to the Chain Stores ie: Walgreen's, CVS, Rite Aid etc etc etc..... and pay their totally outrageous prices. Example, my total Pharma bill with Fred was no more than $200.00 to $400.00 per month, now thru the chains my bill is over $1,000.00 for the same medications. And this is all because the Underground sales of drugs is making pharma's like Freds look bad. Hang in there Bixby pharmacy things can only get better. Respectable Customer read more

Third time I've been by at 9am on a weekday to pick up a refill for my prescription and no one has shown up to open the pharmacy. By 9:15, when still no one had shown up, I had to leave or I'd be late for work, meaning I'm without my prescription today. I wanted to support the local, little guy but they've made it impossible. read more

Friendly and very helpful staff and service. The owner has helped me so many times I've lost count. Personal service, not like the big chains that treat you like a number.
