Thank God for a Winery here! We were visiting from Hawaii & didn't realize a blizzard was coming…read more We booked an experience outside & was waiting at Boreal Mountain for our reserved time, but what should have been 10 mins to the Winery, was going to take us 1 hour, because of the snowstorm! We immediately called to see if we could reschedule as we know we would be back. They said we could come another day. Yay! We decided to go back when there wasn't a blizzard. Lol. We also upgraded our experience from smores & fireplace outdoors, to a YURT! Best decision ever & it was our BEST winery experience ever! It was just perfect & magical! The yurt had 2 heaters, but we quickly turned one off. It wAs equipped with blankets & pillows! It was so cozy feeling. Our table was so nicely decorated, like out of a magazine! The experience came with a charcuterie board and 5 wine tastings. Everything was so good! Not a fan of White wine, but it's something about high elevation wineries...makes white taste yummy! Ambiance was cozy, without the cold snow! We absolutely loved everything about it & we are super happy we booked it! This is a must to visit in Truckee!

Had reservations on a Saturday afternoon. There was only 1 person working. We were seated and asked…read morefor food, to which we we're told there was absolutely nothing available to eat despite it being on the menu. We waited for the waitress to come back, but she never did so we got up and left and found Alibi and that wad definitely a fantastic time!

We decided to finally visit and were pleased with the location and wine selections…read more They have a cooler with charcuterie options. Anthony is the owner/host and Erin is the Sommelier. Both are easy to engage. Located in the Summit Mall next to Hansel's Homemade Ice Cream.

Visited Mt Rose Wine on a Friday from 5-7pm with a group of 25 ladies. This was my first time there…read morebut I have been wanted to try it out for a while. This wine bar has a variety of wine from all around the world. Some expected wines from France and California, but also some more obscure ones from places such as Austria, so there is something for every taste! You can both order a wine by the glass or buy a bottle, which they will open for you to have onsite and that you can also take home if you don't finish it. Their prices are fair for a bottle and I wish I had done that instead of ordering a glass. The service was great! We had a huge group, yet the server was super patient and provided great recommendations to everyone. She was running around the whole time to take care of us and other patrons, but always did it with a smile on her face. I never felt rushed. They have limited snack options for purchase but allow you to bring in your own snacks as well. Finally, the space. It is on the smaller size but we were able to fit our group in without issues, while still leaving some open tables for other patrons. They also provide service on a handful of outdoor tables. The only minor issue is they had live music which felt quite loud in such a small place, but when asked, they were able to lower the volume a bit which was very nice of them!
