Wine Spectator award winner, rotating small producer selections, staff actually knows what they're pouring and steered me toward an old world white flight that was the right call. Cheese fondue and the Journeyman charcuterie board from Sonoma kept things moving. Get there before sunset if you can, that view earns its own star. 5 stars, best wine stop in South Tahoe, full stop

We basically waited 10 minutes to get seated when we walked in. Information about happy hour can be very confusing as their website has different hours than their IG. When we were seated they seated us directly against a wall with very limited table space for four girls. We ordered wine flights (actually a great deal 4 wines for $25) and apps. We all were very hungry as we just got off a plane but they don't really have anything that is meal worthy more or less just small bites. The burrata was so yummy but the toasts were a little hard. Buffalo cauliflower dip was great and I loved the combination because I would've never thought to have a dip with cauliflower, cheese and buffalo sauce! When we ordered the apps we didn't have any table space left and the waiter took quite a while to pick up our prior plates and bring our bill. If you want outdoor seating I would recommend you go early as it fills up very fast and anything over two people will be hard to get in.

Such a beautiful wine experience at Elevated Wine Experience. I went for a friends bachelorette and…read morewe all really enjoyed ourselves. We did the 3 wine tasting at $25 per person. There were also options for 6 and 9 wines. We did not try any of the food, however it sounded delicious! I'd love to go back and try their food. Vanessa took great care of us. The service was excellent.

Becca offered to host. Originally she was going to donate wine to the venue but she was helpful enough to offer a place to have it instead. It was a lovely spot. No hard liquor, just beer, wine, cider, and mixed cocktails that are in that category. Beautiful venue. We would have had it outside but the weather was getting pretty cold so we moved inside. A little tight but still an overall success. Would definitely come back because of her hospitality and the wonderful staff. Also outdoors is great with open fire and heaters provided on patio sidewalk. Wine selection is extensive also offering Natural Wines a new wine process. The food was delicious I especially recommend the miso butter scallops ($18). They also had reasonably priced charcuterie boards. Lastly, for dessert you can have your choice of s'mores to enjoy out on the patio.

I've stopped…read morein several times to browse their selection but this was my first visit having a beverage. Our party of 4 all enjoyed some wine and snacks. Three of us ordered flights and one of us ordered a glass of wine. The total bill before tip was about $95. For my flight, I asked the server to surprise me with three of her favorites. I had two reds and a white. They were all enjoyable. I think the best option for enjoying wine here is to buy a bottle and share with friends. The flights were fun to try new things, but not the best value. Overall, I enjoyed the vibe of Mayer and the well decorated space. The wine selection is also great for enjoying there or to-go. The small provisions area they have is also a nice touch. I will return!

Service was provided by Brian, one of the owners. Brian provided me professional and timely service. He knew his menu well and was confident in wine suggestions. Today I was in the mood for bubbles. Based on Brian's suggestion, for my 1st glass I had the Markus Huber Rose. It was a beautiful glass of sparkling wine. It was light, fresh, and delicate, with fruit and spice with hints of fresh cherries and berries, and a small taste of citrus. For my 2nd glass, I went a bit more traditional with the Faire La Féte Brut. This glass was very bright, crisp, and lively with notes of lemon and orange. I ended up having the cheese board (I ordered the cheese & charcuterie board but the cheese board came out) and it didn't disappoint. Each cheese was complex and special in their own way, yet the cheeses complemented each other. The cheeses paired beautifully with the Markus Huber Rose. The quince paste was amazing! One suggestion I would have would be to have board labels or a platter layout card for guests to reference to while they are grazing. Overall, this was a wonderful experience with delicious cheeses and beautiful wines in a relaxing environment. I definitely will be returning for another visit soon.
