I've served in restaurants for 20 years, at elite places such as, Hillstone along with Chelsea's Kitchen and Buck and Rider, and I am appalled by the behavior of the staff tonight. I discourage anyone from coming into this place. The service is underrated. And as a paying customer, enjoying a meal with a friend, I am very disturbed that they would kick us out before closing time. This lady walks around and says "closed, closed" and starts turning off all the lights. I said "Oh the website says you close at 10pm" and the lady with the top knot bun and glasses said "yeah, but no one is in here so we are closed." Ummm we were in there. Poor hospitality on their part. Not worth it. Go somewhere else. Sushi Michi on 16th st & Bethany, or Full Moon Izakaya Sushi and Ramen, is way better and they don't close earlier because they didn't have any walkins at the point, nor do they kick people out before closing time. Also when we left a car had just pulled up to grab dinner. Turning away customers is poor ethics on behalf of Cherry Blossom. No wonder no one goes here and everything is so out dated. ALSO I had asked for a wine sample to decide which wine I wanted and our waitress said "we don't do samples". Okay well every other restaurant I've been to and worked at has samples. What a way to miss a sale. Wine was $15 a glass. Wouldn't you want that to improve your check average? These people are turning away money. So sad

The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious, with a nice outdoor patio as well. Look forward to having a drink outside once it's cooler. Everything from the service to the atmosphere to the food was excellent. The music was also a standout, they have a great sound system, so if you appreciate good music and how it sounds throughout a restaurant, you'll definitely notice the difference. We tried the Snow Crab Crispy Rice, Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, Midnight Unagi Rolls, Amber Affair Crudo, and the Dragon Girl cocktail, along with some hot sake. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the fish tasted fresh. I especially recommend the items we tried if you're looking for a few things to start with. The Dragon Girl cocktail was also so good! I'm a big fan of a lychee martini, and I loved the balance between the sweetness of the drink and the spicy rim, a good combination. Overall, this was a great dining experience from beginning to end. Beautiful restaurant, GREAT service, fresh and flavorful food, great cocktails, and an amazing atmosphere. I definitely look forward to coming back and trying some of the other dishes. Highly recommend!

The food was beautifully presented, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. The wagyu & kimchi crispy rice appetizer was tasty, although I personally thought there was a little too much rice, in the meat to rice ratio. My absolute favorite dish was the japchae, the portion was plentiful, the noodles were delicious, and the sauce was so flavorful! My partner also really enjoyed the mayak eggs. Unfortunately, there were a few wonky bits throughout our meal. The cocktail my partner ordered took a little while to arrive, and our sushi roll took a really long time to come out. When it finally arrived, it was unfortunately inedible. Our server would periodically stop by to check on us and let us know there was something going on in the kitchen. I appreciated that she kept us updated, and it certainly seemed like it wasn't her fault, but the whole situation felt a little awkward. Overall, I'm not sure what was going on in the kitchen that evening, but I'm hoping this was just an off night because there are definitely some things I enjoyed here. The atmosphere is lovely, the presentation is beautiful, and I think Shiso is a great happy hour spot.

The miso soup had great flavor and was loaded with ingredients, which I loved. The sushi honestly felt like it kept getting better with every roll. The Pink Lover was easily our favorite and absolutely phenomenal. The Red Rosy had a really good kick to it, the Philly tasted incredibly fresh, and the Crunchy California was delicious. The restaurant itself is small and cute with a cozy, dimly lit atmosphere in the evening. It was also quiet enough that we could easily have a conversation without having to talk over music or a loud dining room, which I really appreciated. We walked right in around 7 PM with no wait, and our server was incredibly kind and attentive. Parking is a little limited, but that's really the only downside I can think of. I would absolutely come back. Great sushi, cozy atmosphere, and I'm already looking forward to trying more of the menu!

The place is crowded and a line of patrons are waiting for an open table. We started with the calimari salad that was tasty and a good start to the meal. Our favorite was the soft shell roll with lightly battered soft shell crab, crab mix, avacado, eel sauce and spicy mayo. It was a fabulous flavor packed roll. Several other rolls were ordered, but I honestly don't remember the names. For a new haunt in central Phoenix, give Hachiko Sushi House a try. The service was good, good value, and overall quality roll.

Everything we ordered tasted just like home...yes, I'm Japanese so trust me when say that! We ordered the chicken Kara-Age (Japanese fried chicken), couple of hand tools, cucumber salad (might be my favorite!) , takoyaki, yellowtail carpaccio, ajitsuke egg and yuzu cheese cake for dessert. One thing to keep in mind that Japanese Izakaya is NOT like your sushi restaurant. They don't serve rolls, but do have sashimi in bowls. It's meant to be like a tapas style and portions are usually smaller. The space is meant to smaller for a more intimate setting, although I think they could fit another table or two! I would suggest a few more items like gyoza, ramen, yakitori, Kushi-katsu, etc. I saw few comments about price... yep it's not cheap but the ingredients are fresh and it's comparable to any Japanese restaurant in Scottsdale!

Our wait person was the same one we had previously. Her mood was Just pleasant enough to pass the pleasantry test but with a dose of " if I have to be nice to one more idiot..." simmering just below the surface. The food was "fine". My trout almandine had large chunks of nuts overpowering the fish. A different way of serving a dish that usually has a nice crispy delicate coating. This was like a lumberjack was coming to dinner and they wanted him full. Wonderful warm sourdough bread. Fresh, perfect green beans with scalloped potatoes that tasted as if they had been reheated from some earlier conception date. The bread pudding dessert was a nicely done finale but that was soured by our request for some decaf to go o with it. Our waitress said she would be happy to make some. I lifted my expectations momentarily at the thought of a nice fresh cup of steaming coffee accompanying the dessert. She came back two minutes later to deposit two mugs at our table. I thought, "wow, how do you brew pot that fast?" And then I tasted it and I knew. This coffee had been sitting on the burner for at least a few hours. Most of us know that specific taste. Which also means, since she said they didn't have any decaf made...that this was caffeinated. A double whammy for that time a of night. Sad to say, I had nothing last nite that would persuade me to negotiate a parking lot full of gym goers so that you have to park 10 min away,in the heat, for only so-so food served less than graciously.
