If you're ordering drinks, they usually will call your drink out at the bar. I was surprised that they didn't have chips n salsa as a complimentary snack for the table while the food is being made. I'm assuming it's due to this not really being a seated restaurant, where a server takes down your order. They have chips n guac available for purchase. The guac actually tastes delicious. I ordered la Sopa Azteca, it wasn't too bad...if you don't like too many oils in your soup I wouldn't purchase. I ordered the Plato Durango for my entree, as well as a side of rice, and to be honest, the entree wasn't even that warm when it was brought to me. I didn't enjoy it much. It's also incredibly expensive, my meal was $35 for just the soup, rice, and entree.

The salsa, while having a large variety, all lacked in flavor, seasoning, and spice. The chicken enchiladas tasted like water somehow. They are made with corn tortillas that just fell apart at just the first bite. The burrito bowl was the saddest thing I have ever seen. I mean, it was simply lettuce and chicken with unmelted, cold queso. The Pollo Ala Veracruzana was DRY. DRY. The tortillas were not properly warmed and felt like it had been sitting for a while. For our shrimp cocktail, it was too thick with not enough juice, filled with more onions than shrimp. On top of that, they gave us tortilla chips rather than saltine crackers. The seating was awful inside, and everything just felt off. However, they somehow perfected the rice.

They have a very well curated selection of beers on tap. I had a Saison Dupont and a Foam collab. They also have food and I got an order of fries with some garlic aioli. Amazing!!! I heard that the chicken sandwich there is very good. I'd like to come back and try it sometime.

The beer selection is the best I've ever seen in terms of quality breweries. Hill Farmstead is on the menu today (four different ones!) and there are so many others! The wine selection is ok. This is a beer place in my view. Food options are limited and all excellent. Some dishes can be made vegan if that's your preference but there's something for everyone and the quality is spot on. Tonight I had a tofu sandwich that was excellent another person had a kale salad and raved about it. There's something to be said for a place that limits itself to things it does perfectly and The Dirty Truth seems to be that kind of place. It also focuses on beer and food that are interesting and of the highest possible quality. IT's affordable and unpretentious and very comfortable for large and small groups alike. I think I'm coming here on every trip to Northampton. It's that good! See for yourself!

I said I like them larger , he recommended a certain kind, he even read off his little computer that there around 3 inches around . The biggest they had . Well they were the smallest oysters I've ever had . Maybe 1.5 inches if you stretch them . No brine , no flavor . A waist of $18 for 6 . So then I get the kobi beef hot dog with fries $12 and I didn't want the fries , still $12 for the hot dog and the bartender looked to be eating my fries . Better than throwing them away I guess ? So $30 for some lousy oysters and a hot dog . Drinks were good . My GF got a chicken salad and again , she got the better meal . Plus a few drinks $90+

Food was all fairly good, even the kids grilled cheese. I had the pulled pork po'boy which was more of a Cajun spin on the meal and was excellent. We make this drive a few times a year so we will definitely keep it in mind for the future. Only negative is I wish they validated parking since it's in the lot of the train station. $2 for the first hour, $1 for each additional. Not bad, but unexpected for a restaurant like this.
