We made a reservation. The atmosphere was cozey , and they had a piano player. My husband ordered the stuffed veal chops and the food was delish. His portion was large as well as a nice serving size including the sides. I ordered the stuffed sea bass It was very good but on the small side and sides were very small. We had great well made cocktails also. We did not have dessert. We live in myrtle and it was a 12 to 15 minute drive , a bit pricey but a nice special occasion place ! We will be back . read more

Almost perfect experience. The only less than stellar point was the dessert coffee... while very tasty, the coffee needed to have a bit more heat to stay warm once all of the additions were added. Literally everything else was perfect. I had the Decker Ribeye and it was hands down the best steak I'be eaten in years. The horseradish sauce was exactly the right amount of heat, the asparagus was slightly crispy and very fresh, the potatoes were creative and just the right amount to accompany the main dish. Excellent wine list. Limoncello mascarpone cake was light, tart, and creamy all at once. Oh! Also the Caesar salad was very, very good. I have no idea how this place stays in business..... first of all, it's in the middle of nowhere.... so how are they charging $69 for a steak and getting away with it? I cannot fathom. It's a plain, square brick building on the side of the road with an open, plain, square room with a bunch of tables smashed in together. Not exactly Cordon Bleu ambiance. On this particular occasion, my other plans fell through, so I decided to try this miraculous $69 steak, wondering if, at that price, it came with a back massage. Sure, it was tasty. But that's not where this story of sinistre deception ends...... When I placed my order, I asked if I could substitute the two starchy sides with green veggies.... "Sure!" she said! When I got there, the girl sheepishly handed me the bill, and said "sorry, I guess there is an extra charge for substitutions"... I looked at the bill..... $9.00 EACH to sub the green veggies in... so $18 total to do something which costs them nothing. So my bill, now over $100 for one person, was staring at me to sign. I caved and paid it. Will NEVER go back to a place that has the gall to gouge it's customers twice! read more

Absolutely one of the BEST restaurants around!! We had the Calamari and it's $13 but it's the very best I've ever had and is enough for 4 people. My wife said the Chilean Sea Bass was one of the best she has ever had. My son lived the Lamb and my Rib Eye was excellent!! Our first time having dinner here on Saturday 5/21 @5:30 and it should have been sooner as we recently built a home literally 10 mins away. I'll say at the outset I understand Fine Dining, have enjoyed many places around the country. We are also regulars at Hall's Chophouse in Charleston. It was my Wife's Birthday, so a good time to visit. I made the reservation online via Open Table as redirected by Bistro 90 website. Reservation asked if it was a special occasion, I said yes, Birthday. Reservation format asked : Select Seating Type - Standard, High Top, Bar (unavailable), Outdoors ( unavailable ). I checked Standard. Reservation form then says - A Note from restaurant ... * PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK SELECTION. TABLE CHOICE MADE DURING BOOKING WILL BE SEATED ACCORDINGLY *. When we arrived, the host greeted us, checked computer for reservation and told young lady where to seat us. We were placed at a small High Top in the Bar with music speaker overhead, and after a few mins some quite loud Bar patrons. Next to us was a window covered by miniblinds that needed wiping down. In Fine Dining, details matter. I will say ... that our meal was delicious. I even told the Bartender ( our Server ) that it takes skill to cook a thick Filet Mignon to Med - Well without butterflying it ... but thats how it was done and it was delicious. It seems that this place has a ton of regulars. Throughout our 2 hour stay, the Host circulated around especially in the Bar, and spoke to everyone... at the bar, on the Patio, next to us, behind us. Walked by us perhaps 8 times. Never one word to us, not a normal, "how are things". I guess you have to be a regular to be spoken to. Living now 10 mins away, we could have become regulars. It may be that we are spoiled by Hall's Chophouse Service. They make you feel like family. A floor Mgr always comes by to ck on us ... that was standard from our first visit. Plus, even after a first visit, we received a thank you note from our server in the mail, 4 days later. Nice touch ... not necessary but endearing for sure. I apologize for this long review. When you lay down over $300 (with tip), your expectations are higher. As we walked to the car my wife commented "if your going to charge Hall's prices ( or more), you should provide Hall's level service". In summary ... the food was excellent ... the attention to detail and honoring explicit instructions on the reservation form , were a bit disappointing. ( To those who question why I did not intervene when we were being seated incorrectly, it was my Wife's Birthday & she would have been uncomfortable if I had started the evening with a complaint ) read more

This is our go to place for a great meal in the Myrtle Beach area and it did not disappoint again last week, We've eaten here about a dozen times now and no matter what we've tried it has been prepared to perfection. The wine list outstanding and the bartenders are true mixologists. We didn't make a reservation for our last visit and chose to eat in the lounge area. It was a treat talking with the bartenders who doubled as servers in that area. They were extremely knowledgeable of both the food and spirits. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. We always go to Yelp to read the reviews for new places to go or places we may have missed before. Since this was a special occasion and the reviews were really good we decided to try Bistro 90. We are in barefoot Landing so it was pretty close to us although it is off the beaten track. .When we arrived we were promptly seated. The inside is decorated nicely with some beautiful art and white linen table cloths. The art was from a local artist. Charles greeted us within a minute or so and quickly brought our drinks. The wine selection was nice and the bourbon selection was incredible. Charles explained the menu and specials. The bread was delicious! I actually love olive oil with balsamic in it, but this was still very nice. We started with the spinach salad. It was very good. As a matter fact my husband said it was the best salad he ever had! Now my husband is a griller at home. He has grilled some pretty amazing steaks in the past. We are from Lexington Kentucky and recently tried one of the primo steakhouses there and was not really impressed given the price tag. Let me tell you this steak is great! I got the fillet and my husband ordered the ribeye they were both cooked to perfection. We actually held the bites side-by-side and could see the difference between medium and medium rare. Each entrée came with Yukon Gold potatoes I believe and green beans which were both very good. Charles was so personable and explained to us that they have a sister restaurant in Myrtle Beach called Aspen Grill. He also told us the pizzas here were really good so we intend to try one of those one evening. We really loved this place and it lived up to the hype. The food here is amazing! Their steaks are absolutely delicious but everything is wonderful, including their pizza. I've heard so many good things about this place. We wanted to go to THE best steakhouse to celebrate our anniversary. Appetizers were ok... nothing special but that's not why we went there. Main course came out... I had the cowboy ribeye and my wife had their signature stuffed veal. Steak was ok but my wife's dish was RAW. We called the waiter over and what really upset us is he tried to say that it may be slightly undercooked but looks pretty close to medium. It wasn't edible even for me and I like my steaks rare. This was slimy and raw. They took it and it came back out cooked perfect but I had sat there looking at my steak while we waited and she had lost her appetite. Not the experience we were looking for... especially with the price. Highlight of the night was the drinks. My husband and I just recently relocated here from Hawaii, (yes, I said Hawaii). My MIL recommended Bistro 90 for dinner. I was surprised, a beautiful red brick/stone resturants out in the middle of no where. Walking into the resturants I was impressed, the decor was warm and inviting and I immediately knew this was a GEM in the rough. Dinner OMG was soooooo good! The steak I ordered was exactly the way I liked it, from the appetizers, salad, dinner and after dinner coffee, it was all so delicious. I could write volumes about the steak, tender and perfectly seasoned. Service was like a well oiled machine. No hiccups or delays. The owner made it a point to talk with all his customers. AMAZING FOOD AND DRINKS. This is such a hidden gem! Best drinks I've EVER had. Their cocktails are handcrafted. The service was excellent. The manager came by several times to see how we were doing and ask how the food was. My salmon was cooked to perfection and my mother's steak was the best she'd ever eaten (according to her). The restaurant was very nice, cloth napkins and table cloths, the wait staff was excellent, even had the owner or manager stop by after the meal to ask if everything was okay. My issue was with the prices, we live near the NC/SC boarder which has many great restaurants, we didn't order steaks mainly due to the prices which is their specialty but all the items on the menu had much higher prices then we are accustomed to and I don't see the reason to pay the premium for all entrees just because they want to be a steakhouse. The chicken entrees we had were excellent, just priced to high. I would question the $$ it's more like $$$. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Bistro 90 over the weekend. I found this restaurant online and then while shopping in North Myrtle Beach I spotted the billboard off of Hwy 17 and LOVED it. After my experience at Bistro 90 on Friday, I (and family/friends) will never come here again. The manager or owner chased us out as we were getting in our vehicle to complain about the 15% tip left for our waiter, stating that it was not enough. HOW RUDE!! It is my decision how I tip and I tip off service received. When the waiter rolled his eyes at my son that cut it right there. Lucky he got the a tip at all! Very poor business!!!! read more
