Got a groupon for $50 of food for $26 on sale. Amazing deal. Tried the pumpkin martini one of their holiday specials. I also got the stuffed pork loin. It was stuffed with spinach, prosciutto and mozzarella. The potato's it came with were the best part. We also got crab stuffed twin lobster tails. And for dessert we agreed the flourless chocolate gateau was hands down the best dessert we have eaten in years. It was a great date night and the restaurant was decorated so beautifully for Christmas. Will come again even without a groupon. Only suggestion we have is to have the outdoor fireplace going and the heaters on. We would have stayed and drank more if it was on. read more

Hospitality is going down across the country and I had an unpleasant experience at this restaurant. I ordered the Mussels that came with a crostini so you can soak up the sauce. A crostini is supposed to be a thin piece of toast, but what I got was a inch thick, rock hard piece of bread that was not edible. I asked the server to get me a freshly toasted piece of crostini so I could soak up the sauce. He tried accomedating me by talking with the chef/cook who was out in the dining room socializing with his friends that were seated next to me. The cook comes up to my table and starts explaining that a crostini is supposed to be a cracker. No attempt to accomedate me which I felt is not only disrespectful to a guest but a disrespect to the hospitality industry all together that is service focused. I hope this place the best. read more

Come to this hotel for work layovers and this restaurants great. The staff is friendly, they had live music that was really very very enjoyable, and the food was delicious. I personally tried the pulled pork taco because our driver talked up their tacos, and I was a little worried when I saw so many jalepenos on it that it would be to spicy for my weak tolerance but it was perfect, mixed with pineapple aioli, bbq sauce on the pork, and onions and tomato, it all blended so well I didn't notice the spice. What a lovely place! This jewel made me and my friend relaxed and welcome. It is tucked in the Indigo hotel. Ambience was gorgeous: tables next to the pool and a hammock in the area beyond the restaurant. Alexandra, the waitress was very polite and lovely, she catered to us ever so diligently. She was knowledgeable in recommending items from the menu and indulged us in having the dinner item for lunch after checking with the chef. My friend's son Milan was amazed my Alexandra! We had a coupon from Yelp for $25 off the sangria pitcher, which came in very handy, as the price of the sangria pitcher was $25. Alexandra advised us about the pool opening in the summer, which is available to patrons of the restaurant. We will definitely come back! Great experience! read more

Located inside Hotel Indigo, right next to the Tanger Outlets. 2) Lots of menu diversity available in half or full portions, which makes it easy to share plates and try many things. 3) Food was tasty, dishes were beautifully presented, half portions were large. - Beet Salad: The beet salad was comprised of yellow and red beets shaved into strands made to look like noodles! The goat cheese mousse and toasted pistachios complimented the beets well. - Cheese plate (1/2 portion): If this was the 1/2 portion, I can't imagine how big the full size is! 3 different cheeses (cranberry goat cheese, truffled manchego, smoked gouda), with crackers, jam, fresh fruit, dried apricots & raw almonds. Yum! - Crescent Farm Duck Breast (1/2 portion): Duck was juicy and well marinated over a bed wild rice that had a great texture. - North Fork Cioppino (1/2 portion): This seafood stew was loaded with mussels, clams, shrimp, with a nicely cooked portion of halibut on top. The broth was flavorful and light! CONS: 1) Distracted atmosphere with too many TVs: I understand that the bar is the "hotel bar," and I can understand that bargoers would appreciate watching the game as they unwind. However for the diners, the big glaring TVs take away from the otherwise elegant restaurant. 2) Spotty service: Our waiter was slow and sometimes missing. He came over with drink & specials menus long after we had already been sitting down and already knew what we were going to order. He also mistakenly charged us for something on our bill-- it was simple enough to take off, but I would have overpaid $20 if I didn't catch his mistake. I stayed at Hotel Indigo for a couple of nights after my wedding. While we were there we had breakfast and dinner at Bistro 72. The breakfast started out well, with a delicious cappuccino and promising menu options. However in the end it was just ok. I had a side of hash that was very dry and tasteless, but thankfully they took it off our bill. The service was the most disappointing. Very slow even though they were not that busy. Dinner was much more enjoyable. The setting outside was very relaxing and romantic. The food was great, especially the mussels. Service was much better too. As usual I come by on Thursday for dinner. Tonight Kristen was the bartender. I took my usual seat at the bar. There are some new additions to the menu (apparently since June). I ordered one of them. The Panzanella salad. It was good. I was hoping for warm bread or Brussels spouts. But it was good. I heard good things about the Crunchy Dirty Martinis. Bistro72 is an awesome restaurant conveniently located in Riverhead right by Tanger Outlets and the vineyards on the North Fork. I stopped in for dinner on a Thursday night and I was blown away by their beautiful back patio. The restaurant is connected to a hotel (looks so stunning!) so their back patio has a fire place, clean pool, and a decent amount of tables. There was live music when I visited which only amplified by dining experience. I tried their shrimp tacos, lobster mac, shrimp cocktail, and crab cake. Their seafood was great! read more

Disappointed. Came here with family and expected better service and better food. Ordered a London Lemonade, which was supposed to have raspberries, but had blueberries instead. Not a big deal, but it should have been mentioned ("we will be substituting blueberries for the raspberries...is that OK?")...that's all. One person at the table ordered a Panzanella salad, which was supposed to have roasted beets and pistachios on it, but didn't. When we told this to the server, she said, "this is the right salad, but I can see if the chef can ADD beets and pistachios for you." Since the person who ordered the salad had eaten a heavy appetizer, she just sent the salad back and asked it be taken off our bill. Everyone else's meal was just OK. Pork chop was a little over cooked. Mushroom risotto was very nice. Scallops were good. Burger looked like a Bubba burger, or some kind of pre-made frozen burger. Desserts Deconstructed sundae was disappointing. Heath crunch was stale and not crunchy. Bacon was not crispy. Hazelnut Gelato Chocolate cake was yummy as was the Caramel Apple Cobbler. Service It seemed all night we could not get our server's attention. She would not make eye contact. And at one point, we literally had to go get her. When we finally got the check, the salad that was supposed to be removed was still on our bill. We called the manager over and explained and asked her to take care of it. Instead of taking care of it herself, she sent the server back with the updated check with just a "sorry." No offer to come a dessert or maybe an offer of a free app for our next visit. Totally not necessary, but making mistakes on a $200 check and having a customer complain should have at least been handled by management. One member of our party had recommended this restaurant and was quite embarrassed with the whole experience. Look at my reviews...I usually give good ones, so I'm not a yelp complainer, but this place didn't cut it (at least for this visit)! read more

The waiter was friendly but maybe inexperienced. Ok. He warned us before we ordered that a lot of the customers complained about the fish and chips. Someone ordered it anyway, and over night, he was quite ill. But, maybe the chef should have taken it off the menu beforehand. Went for my friend's birthday and we enjoyed most of the food. I ordered the crab cakes to start. I felt like they tasted frozen and reheated. They probably weren't but I like crabcakes to be lump crab as stated in the menu. This was just a big mush cake. There was no chunks of crab that I could see. It tasted like a frozen dinner crabcake. For dinner I ordered the pan seared salmon with white beans, spinach and kale and it was quite good. I don't usually order salmon because it's never cooked right. This was cooked perfectly end it was tasty. My friend ordered the avocado mash appetizer with tortilla chips which was made with fresh avocado and she said it was delicious. For dinner she ordered the penne vodka with shrimp and she said that was great too. I ordered the raspberry lemon martini and it wasn't cold As a martini should be. In fact it was lukewarm. It was OK as far as flavor. My friend ordered the rum punch and she liked it a lot. Our waiter was super nice. He made our night a pleasure. read more

Yesterday, 8/6/22, was our second time there in 4 weeks. Our first experience was terrific. We went there with friends who have been there prior, and we sat in the covered patio. The setting was wonderful and the food was terrific. I had my first lobster roll (so although I had nothing to compare it to, it was delicious nonetheless). My husband had their chicken sandwich which he enjoyed. Yesterday we met other friends there. As we had no repetitive eating experiences, I asked our friends to check out the menu and ultimately make the decision; they did and thought we'd give it a go. Again we sat in the patio; there was an outside wedding just winding up. Our friends are victims of lyme disease and unfortunately she has developed numerous allergies as a result. At present, she can only eat seafood, fish and poultry; her favorite is duck. Our server recited the 'specials' and unfortunately, at the end of his recital he indicated that although duck was on the menu, they had run out! (Who does that?) My friend was devastated as she really looked forward to it. I ordered grilled chicken caesars salad. The chicken was overcooked and very, very dry. (I NEVER SEND MY FOOD BACK!) My husband's sandwich was almost a good as before, and although he asked for the coleslaw and honey on the side, they were included inside the sandwich. The calamari appetizer our friends ordered looked appetizing but since I did not taste, I am unable to judge; same with the chicken wings. All in all, we were disappointed our dining experience did not meet up to our expectations based upon our first dining experience. We will not return. read more

My wife and I have been frequent visitors to Bistro 72 and loved their menu. A few weeks ago, the menu changed and we were some what disappointed. Not being one to just grumble and write a bad review, I took the initiative to contact the manager of their food and beverage service. I never really expected to hear back. Much to my surprise, Debbie Mahoney contacted me that same day. She took to heart all of my comments and suggestions, she then proceeded to address all of my concerns. She even changed the menu to reflect my comments. In today's world, where service means more and more, Debbie demonstrated the she, and Bistro 72 were attune to their clientele and wanted to present a very pleasurable experience. Debbie even asked us to let her know the next time we'd be by for dinner. She joined us at our table and once again assured us that our satisfaction was their main concern. Tonight my wife had the salmon and I had a burger. The portions are plentiful and prepared to perfection. Our server, Julia is an absolute professional. She checked on us several times to make sure that everything was to our liking and that our drinks didn't run dry. Even the Chef, another Debbie, came out to meet us. We had met her once before during Restaurant Week. Before we left, Robbie, one of the owners of the hotel stopped by to say hello. What more can I say, a great hotel with a wonderful restaurant which serves up a fabulous breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. During the summer they host incredible music events on the patio by their pool, dancing encouraged. If you're coming out to the Hamptons or the North Fork make sure you stop by and try their fare, you won't be disappointed. read more

My wife and I came here after shopping at the outlets over the weekend. I've driven past this place enough times that I figured to give it a Go. The restaurant is part of the Hotel Indigo with a separate entrance. The first impression was one of warmth and hominess - the fireplace was going with a small, late afternoon crowd. Greeted with a smile by the hostess who sat us quickly. Although the restaurant was empty we sat on the bar side to take advantage of the fire. Food: We ordered a bunch of appetizers, so I can't get get into the entrees. That said, the Fig Flatbread was excellent but the Thai Chicken Flatbread was a little boring (still good though). FYI, these are pretty big so one is good enough to share. Some chicken wings and a cold antipasto rounded out the fare. The latter item was a little expensive but was excellent. My dessert was a key lime/coconut pie-is thing that I definitely liked. My wife got the Hazelnut gelato cake, which she thought was decent but she's hard to please. Service: Excellent. Alana was behind the bar and had to pull double-duty working our table - she was as efficient as she was adorable. Our table was in a spot where we watched the rest of the staff in action with a setup of some kind. They work like bees and seem to actually like each other. It was fairly quiet so the bartender was doubling as our waiter; his lack of wine knowledge was a bit disconcerting given his occupation but a nice enough guy.
