Very cool spot with a wide variety of beers and cider options. Highly recommended if you're heading out east!

It's fun here, love that they have games. I don't love that they have a limited wine and beer selection. The staff are great and i love they usually have live music. No dogs stinks though read more

Nice brewery seemingly in the middle of no where. A tad pricey but a good setup with a solid amount of room and parking. Went with a small group which is what it's perfect for. If I'm in the area id go back again. read more

Cool bar with indoor and outdoor seating. We were showing up as the band was finishing up, which is a bummer given I really enjoy live music. We sat outside. They had a giant connect four that kept me entertained. The cider is delicious! I didn't know that I would be a fan until getting to try different flavors with the flight. There are also lots of beer and wine selections if cider isn't your jam. read more

Spent the day here , a day after a wedding nearby. Awesome place to hang. Huge main room, with a large bar, they have another room, with a smaller bar, set up for cornhole competition. And they also have a large outside area, no bar outside. I had 2 cider flights, all delicious, and 2, 16oz beers. There was a 3 piece band playing, pretty cool classic rock and they also had the Knicks game on tv. Ordered a couple of pizzas, they were ok. Bartenders were great, they let me sample a few, in between my orders. Overall a great place to hang on a weekend. read more

My boyfriend and I came here for a quick flight/tasting. We tried a selection of different ciders/beers. Each was delicious and unique in flavor. My boyfriend also tried a spiked apple cider, which we both enjoyed. Service was quick and friendly. We would come back another time and spend more time here. read more

Cool spot, had some good beers and local wines. I like the food for the most part, pretzels being the best.

Everything was clean, service was good. Plenty of seating and the food and drinks were fresh. We weren't totally thrilled with all of the children running around, but if that's your thing, then this will be a good place for you. We were a little taken back when we were looking around at the decor we found cobwebs that were pretty prominent. They had been there for sometime judging by the size of them. But at the end of the day I guess cobwebs are better than the food and drink areas being dirty. Regardless of this the Riverhead cider house is still a relaxing fun place to visit. read more

Large space with indoor and outdoor seating and excellent variety of very tasty ciders. The tropical summer cider was my favorite (great fruit taste with just enough sweetness) while my wife chose Greg's Strawberry patch as her #1. While Woodside Orchards has better donuts, Riverhead has it beat on cider quality. read more

I will NEVER come back. On the website, it says that you allow dogs and then when we got there, they refused us and three other families away. The owner wasn't even there and the manager on duty just kept saying that's the way it is and too bad. "Read the sign on the door". The manager admitted that this has been happening all summer and they are not doing anything about it. Not contacting Google or yelp to change the statement. Just allowing people to drive all the way out there only to be turned away. We drove from Long Beach Ny and we couldn't even sit outside. Update: Within the last 24 hours I reported the issue to Google to ask them to change it and they did. I'm not upset because I couldn't bring my dog. Rules are rules. What's upsetting to me is that you had this happening ALL summer and not once did anyone think to contact Google or Yelp and ask them to change it. read more

We stopped in on a quiet Monday afternoon, which was great. Plenty of seating inside with great AC on a hot day. We ordered two flights; one sweet and the other, semi-sweet. Overall, they all tasted great. The PBJ, tropical summer and strawberry were our top 3 out of the 8. If we were in the area, we'd definitely go back. read more

A great place to go and socialize with friends! Love that there's lots of seating inside and out especially on a nice day. There's also live music sometimes and board games available. The drinks are always fun with lots of variety to try different ciders. There is also food available if you want a snack with your drinks. The large pretzel is always fun to share with a group! Family Fun Day, 15 of us on a beautiful Sunday. We were lucky to get 3 tables together. Then we walk in the back and there is a whole other section? Watched them make my guacamole and then finished off a few pizzas and hot pretzels with mustard. We tried the black cherry and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. As busy as you would think it was they had plenty of bartenders to get our drinks. Overall definitely a 5 live music that we sang along too. read more

Came here with a group and had a nice time. It's a sizable place that's nicely decorated. Came here on a rainy day and it was still packed. They have a nice array of ciders and beers to select from, all equally delicious. The food itself is eh at best, but realistically you're not coming for food. Overall it is nice and I will be back again. read more

I visited this establishment on a LIRR tour. I was surprised by the amount of cider you receive to taste. The flavors were so good. The black cherry was my favorite. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly. The cider house was quiet and the buffalo wings were delicious. I would definitely return to this cider house. The hard cider was good and the interior was so nice. It felt cozy and welcoming. I'll definitely tell everyone I know about this place. read more

We came to Riverhead Cider House on the suggestion of a friend. When we arrived there were two families waiting outside and taking photos with the antique car. Once inside we were delighted to see how spacious the room and how large the bar was. We were greeted by a bartender who expertly helped us make our flight selection, and explained how to order food. We order a large pretzel and sat at one of the many tables that are built from old wine barrels. The only disappointment was that the experience does not offer wait service and I had to obtain the pretzel myself and then clean up. However, all in all it was a terrific visit. read more

A nice place to kill a few hours, soaking in the fall vibes! We walked in about 2 hours before closing and it was still, surprisingly, packed. I ordered a cinnamon apple cider with the sugar rim and it was quite tasty. My friend ordered the black cherry and noted that it did taste like actual cherries which is a plus. If neither of these are your jam, there are plenty of other ciders to choose from! Inside is definitely spacious, plenty of woodwork and decorations all around. There's an outdoor seating area with games to play as well. We did order a few menu items to eat as well. The cider donuts were the standout. A bit crisp with a tender interior and plenty of sugar coating throughout. The pizza and the giant pretzel were a let down, but I'm assuming if you're coming here, you're not here for the food. Overall, would recommend if you're in the area! read more

We love this place !! GREAT cider, fabulous flavors, and this time, we had the pleasure of sipping our cider flavors to the cover tunes of Billy Joel, played by someone who knew their way around a piano keyboard. I had to make sure it wasn't Billy himself tickling those ivories. It wasn't. As for the flavors we got, I honestly don't remember them all.... one was pineapple, another was honeycrisp. The third was either blackberry or black cherry, and I don't know what the 4th one was, which is too bad cuz it was my favorite. It was a weird name, too. Anyway, they were all really tasty and well made. This place is such a treat for us cuz we don't have any cider places back home THAT WE LIKE, and we don't exactly get out here all that often, so when we can show up to Riverhead Cider House, we're thrilled. read more

Live music, great drinks and good food. What could be better?I love this place and will go back many more times this year. Excellent hard cider. Really wonderful flavors while maintaining dry characteristics. Great experience at the bar. The staff is awesome and will hook you up with whatever flavors you are looking for. Delicious, easy drinking hard ciders without the overly sweet apple flavor that some other hard ciders have. All of the ciders on tap were nicely blended and enjoyable to drink. It is nice to be able to have a flight to taste all 4 hard ciders on tap. They also have beer for non cider fans to enjoy and a decent selection. Always a great time, great atmosphere and selections of ciders change while still keeping some reg favorites. They serve food here and the pizza and soft pretzel is very good and I recommend. Overall, this place is great and a good time to come out and drink with family & friends. read more

I love the cider house! I came here today with a few friends and as always we had a great time and experience. We played some games, ate some good food and had some amazing ciders. The standouts being the apple Annie and the crimson. Great tastes and honestly a couple of new favorites of mine. I also love the set up here, the decor is super cute and they have a bunch of games you can play as well. The guacamole and the pretzel are always a stand out for me. We stumbled upon this place by accident, and am so glad we did. We were actually in the area looking for a winery with indoor space where we could spend a few hours on a super hot day, and happened to drive by Riverhead Cider House and caught sight of the giant apple statue outside. We were one of the first people here around 11:30am on a Saturday, but the place quickly filled up. The interior space is huge yet still very comfortable and cozy thanks to the rustic decor. Tables were spaced comfortably apart, so it never felt too crowded. Upon entering, you place your drink order at the bar, then seat yourself. There is also a cafeteria-like food area where you can order small bites like soft pretzels and flatbreads. We shared the cider flight (4 ciders) and the chicken bruschetta flatbread. The ciders were absolutely delicious and had a nice variety of flavors and sweetness levels. The flatbread, however, was a disappointment; bland and uninspired. I'd recommend sticking to the pretzels or a bag of chips if you're looking for something to nosh on with your ciders. 32-oz growlers are also for sale if you want to take some cider home with you. Note that also have 32-oz cans (also freshly poured and sealed) for sale which are less expensive. We took 2 home and are looking forward to enjoying them soon! read more

Before I visited Riverhead Ciderhouse, I would have sworn to you that I didn't like cider. But after a quick consultation and recommendation from my friendly Ciderhouse bartender, I found my perfect match and was hooked. Also, I'm a HUGE hot pretzel fan and the pretzel here absolutely gets my seal of approva (although the sauces were not great the pretzel itself was awesome). Wasn't impressed. So went on a Friday after my friend came in from out of town. It was a wet and rainy day so how better then to sip on some cider. Beware of the long lines! Get there early and be prepared to wait outside. Overall, my friends and I had a wonderful time. The cider was DELICIOUS and the pizzas were good too. We arrived at 12pm on a Sunday afternoon. The line was down the parking lot, but there were plenty of open spaces for parking. The line ended up taking a full hour so I'd recommend comfy shoes!! When we were taken in, the indoor area was bustling. It was packed inside- yes people are sitting at their own tables which were probably distanced 6ft exactly, however I wouldn't have felt comfortable being inside. Whether you sit inside or outside, you must go inside to order food and drinks, so many people are standing (with masks). I definitely found it strange that no one explained/told us that there is no table service or how to order. You have to go inside and order FOOD FIRST, then drinks. The outdoor area was pretty nice, BUT they had a huge fly problem. I don't know if this is consistent throughout the season but flies swarmed every single inch of the outdoor patio. We were swatting them away and guarding our food the entire time. There were only a few bees. There are a considerable amount of tables that need to be replaced. That being said, we still did have a great time because of how delicious the drinks were. For some reason, at first glance I thought the food wouldn't be good. The pizzas are surprisingly great. Don't let the boxes and small sizes fool you. It is the perfect personal pizza, or sharable for 2. They are definitely pricy, most of them being about $16. I got the artichoke and spinach one ($10) which is a little smaller than the other pizzas- it was soooo good and well worth the price. read more

Riverhead Ciderhouse is a great stop. The cidery is large and open with a comfortable and fun vibe with a friendly staff. There are even some games around to keep you entertained. To be honest I am not a cider fan, even as a child I never liked apple juice. While I was skeptical, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my tastings at Ciderhouse. They offer 4 generous tastings for $12; I asked the guy behind the bar to steer me more towards those that are on the dryer, tart side and his recos were on point. Benjamin's Best was light and crisp and wonderful. What's Hoppening was just lovely; the name scared me as I am not a fan of over the top hoppy beers, but this was just right and well balanced. The Blackberry Habenero, was such a surprise, a lightly sweet/tart flavor with a hint of heat that hits your throat; really good. The Honey Crisp Bolt was on the sweeter side vs. the others I tried so probably my least favorite of the flight. We also grabbed a hot pretzel for the group which was delicious (albeit pricey) and came with 2 types of mustard and a cheese sauce. Riverhead Ciderhouse knows what they are doing and makes some high quality, well balanced ciders. It's a great place to visit when in the area. read more

Liked the vibe here a lot. They have a food court set up -- not table service but it worked. The drink selection was great.

We have previously been to Riverhead Cider House a few times with my ESA/Therapy certified dog. We came in tonight with only 1/2 hour before close and after ordering our beer, was told by the manager that we had to leave because "pets" weren't allowed. I explained he was a certified and registered ESA as well as a certified therapy dog, who was also in his service vest. He was laying next to us at the table and then did stand when patrons asked if they could say hello to him. The manager then came back again and said we had to "take the dog out of the brewery immediately" Since we had just started our beer, we asked for a refund which he gave to us as long as we took the dog outside. I have never been to any brewery/winery on Long Island where we were treated with such disdain. The guests were horrified at the actions of this evenings manager. Our dog, Gavon, has been welcomed at all businesses across Long Island and the rudeness of this establishment should be ashamed. I have hosted employee outings at Riverhead Cider House but I will never return nor will I recommend anyone with a pet, a service animal, an ESA or a Certified Therapy animal to spend their money where a member of their family isn't welcome. Shame on Riverhead Cider House - you've lost my business, you've lost my family and friends and my professional business as well. read more

This place is always packed. I came once with my sister during the Fall season. All I wanted was some hard cider and cider donuts, ya'll!! It was crazy in there! Packed! Only more people were coming via coach buses. It was crazy. Never seen anything like that before. We got in, and there was barely any place to stand at the bar. It was tricky to find space to stand elsewhere. I should come earlier one day to fully enjoy it here. We were lucky to find a spot by a back window and then decided to go out back and just chill out in the rainy weather. It was only sprinkling out, so we didn't mind.
