5 stars, found this place by accident on Yelp while on route to New Hope Pennsylvania. This is a nice cozy spot in the heart of Flemington NJ. Great courteous service by Tito. One of the owner Mo, stopped by our table to ask how things were. He was engaging and genuine. The food was very good. This was a quick bite as I had dinner planned for about 4 hours from this lunch. Started with the falafel balls which came with Hummus. They had great flavor and it was a good portion. Sampled 2 salads, these were the bistro salad and the beet salad. Both were great ( see photos). All the food is fresh, not frozen, and made with love according to Mo. He was extremely proud and I definitely enjoyed the experience. Their brunch menu looks amazing and I can't wait to come back for brunch. Highly recommended and hope they do well. Well trained staff will not disappoint.

I found Bistro 55 on Yelp. It had great reviews and now I know why. It's just a little place in a strip of stores right on Main St Flemington. Easy to find. It's decorated super cute and the bathrooms are clean. You can ByO , which we did and they gave us wine glasses. The food was so good! We got a 3 dip platter for an appetizer to share and then we split a mix grill platter for dinner. Everything was delicious and flavorful! We tried some dips we had not tried before and they were great! Our waiter was super nice and the service was excellent.

What great staff and service! I love seeing the Egyptian decor! Lovely music ! My server was very happy to make food suggestions. I hadn't had a tameya with Foul mudammas (stewed fava beans) serviced in aidh balady. Lovely hummus and bread also. Delicious food! Delightful time. Yalla.

Catered from here, food was to die for. They gave us trays of mixed grilled meat, steak, chicken, lamb, rice and french fries. We had hummus and pita platter, chopped salad, orzo and lemon soup, Spanakopita, Garlic Shrimp, grilled veggiesand lemon potatoes. Even the people who said they didn't care for Mediterranean Food changed their minds and thought everything was delicious. We all fought for the left overs

I came across Bistro 55 searching for a restaurant in the Flemington area. The high ratings and menu options appealed to me. Thankfully, the reviews were on point. The service was great, and the staff was patient in dealing with the other members of my party. The food was fresh, presented nicely, and delicious. There were options for even the pickiest of eaters. I would eat here again!

The service was excellent. We came for dinner at 6pm on a Friday night and the street wasn't crowded, so parking was really easy. The restaurant was fairly empty. There were black table cloths with faux candles on each table, so the overall ambience was cozy. The food was delicious. I got the gyro platter and it was amazing. The rice was a little on the dry side, but still good. I think the fries were seasoned with some kind of blend, so they look dark but are not overcooked. The gyro meat was flavorful and amazing. I would come back!

We were enticed to come here through a Facebook event, and glad that we made the trip. I will be remiss if I did not mention the scenic relevance of Flemington, and the beauty of it in conjunction with this review. Aside from the railroad, Flemington appears to be a beautiful town, where agriculture and suburbia clash together to bring about a diverse display of these sub-cultures of Americana. This really set the stage for visitors coming into Flemington to Humdoo. Stangl road, itself, is set apart, almost like a secret nook. Coming off Main Street, the thoroughfare looks like it would lead to a residential area, but is in fact quite the contrary. Local businesses emerge and line either side of the road as you turn onto it, with roadside parking that you don't have to parallel park into. Humdoo Ice Cream nestles amongst these businesses that create an outdoor, walking mall of sorts. Age, amongst other factors, really make us suckers for punishment when it comes to fancying and enjoying ice cream. Perhaps it was an "one-off-day" for us, but the frozen treats at Humdoo were amazing and delicious without the complimentary side effects. The flavors of the frozen cream were just right - not too sweet, but also not too milky if that makes sense. I believe the ice cream were only available as hard ice-cream (no soft-serve) and held great together (did not melt away as quickly as other ice cream typically do; perhaps it was the season that play apart in this as well). The flavor, texture, and consistency made Humdoo's frozen delights incredibly enjoyable. There was a decent range of flavor selections which were all unique in their own way - I imagine that you cannot go wrong with any of the flavors (although I highly recommend the White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle). There is an indoor restroom within the creamery, however seating is very limited. The business does accept credit card as a form of payment. It was delightfully surprising to find a local creamery open as early as February while still being in the winter season. We are definitely going to come back for more when the weather gets warmer to give it another go!

The service was great! The girl working was very nice and friendly. I had the campfire smores, cookies and cream & the coffee ice cream. Out of the three, I'd recommend the coffee ice cream! There were brownie chunks in it which made it taste extra good and the coffee flavor wasn't overpowering. The campfire flavor was very sweet, good if you have a sweet tooth. And the cookies & cream was light, not too much flavor. The tables could be a bit cleaner but all else is good. Overall, a very nice spot to have ice cream and relax outside! Store: 3/5. A bit cramped inside - I understand they wanted to keep the purchase area separate from the confectioner's area, but a bit too much square footage set aside for them behind the counter. You'll be walking around quite a bit and you may have to go back and forth a bit to get a full sense of what's on offer. Combine the store ambiance with the incredibly high prices (we all agreed it's at least 20% higher than other gourmet chocolatiers) and I can't give it a fifth star. But the chocolate itself? And the wonderful people? I can't possibly go under 4 stars total.

I've shopped here a few times over the years, moreso since moving into the area. They have a wide assortment of sweets, even stuff for people who don't like chocolate. Some of the items they have: - Fudge (obviously) - Chocolate covered fruit - Peanut brittle - Cordial cherries - Truffles - Licorice - Swedish Fish - Gummi bears and worms During my latest trip, I picked up some of their dark chocolate bourbon cherries that spend a week soaking in bourbon before being coated in a chocolate shell. I picked up some milk chocolate Oreos for my wife (she doesn't like dark chocolate). They have baskets and seasonal treats throughout the year (Valentine's, St. Patrick's, Easter, etc.) if you need to pick up a gift for someone. The inside may feel a little cramped during busier times of the year but that adds to the character and charm of a place that's been around since 1961!
