This was a terrible let down. Weve been here before but apparently this is under new ownership or management? The food was definitely better before. The service was HORRIBLE. it was not even crowded (empty tables in dining room) but somehow took 40min for our food to come, half of which were simple things like salads, spaghetti, and a burger. Drinks weren't good. Our kid's pasta came out last and was literally STEAMING HOT. They clearly do not have kids or care because it was bizarre that the adult meals were room temp and the kids meal CAME OUT LAST AND WAS PIPING HOT. Asked for water refills multiple times only to have to ask again. Food was not as appears in pics (so much nicer in online menus). so disappointed. I went w family at 1130 and did not leave until close to 200. They were understaffed and took half hour for coffee and had to ask twice for a cup. Then after a hour and a half the meal came my toast was burned and cold and then the poached egg on top was cold and the arugula under the egg had no flavor. It was the worst meal in ten years. For four adults and two kids the meal came to 160. And tip 30. And this is the food and service I received. I was shocked that they asked this much for such bad food and service and I would have been better off at a deli. My friend's meal also was cold and really poor the Harvest which had mostly greens. So crazy anyway. It was noisy and loud a small room the only good thing was the decor and table cloths and lighting just beautiful. I came here for brunch and ordered the biscuits and gravy along with the mojito flight. The food was well seasoned and definitely a 10 out of 10 for me. The drinks were great too, I'd give them an 8 out of 10 only because the purée settled at the bottom, but the coconut mojito itself was an easy 10 out of 10. The service was amazing and the inside of the restaurant is beautiful. I really liked the vibe and decor, and the gold silverware was a nice touch that made everything feel elevated. Really disappointed. My husband and I have been coming here for years--celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and countless date nights. After the remodel, we were excited to return, but the experience fell flat. The beloved complimentary bread? Gone--now a $3 charge. I ordered two drinks: the Peach Old Fashioned was 70% ice ball, 30% actual drink, and my Italian Lemon Drop (a past favorite) arrived only partially filled (see picture). We always loved the creamy chicken pasta, but this time, the chicken had the texture of canned soup and the dish had an odd, plasticky aftertaste. I tried the signature chicken piccata--paper-thin chicken and barely any mashed potatoes. I have been debating about leaving this review for months because the service and ambiance were spot on and the place was pretty clean.. the food however tasted OK, i came on a saturday for the brunch menu, but i couldn't finish it because the eggs were under cooked or had too much of something going on in the mix but my belly began to feel unsettled by the time I left the establishment....maybe less than 15mins after that I was violently ill feeling as if I got a stomach bug, fever and chills..it last about 48-72hrs I wont be back for brunch, maybe a cocktail. Im guessing this doesn't happen often (hopefully) just beware. Staff and establishment is super nice though. Please note I did not report the issue or specify the date I visited the establishment but if you (manager) would like I can provide that information. This review isn't to but this place down however this was my experience for brunch first meal of the day for me. If you would like a more formal expression of my concerns I can follow up by email with any receipts you need to understand my experience was legitimate. This didnt seem like any form of accountability, just denial, and thats frustrating because I withheld this review mainly because everything else was great, if I didn't get so ill afterwards I wouldn't have even mentioned how unsatisfied I was with the flavor or presentation of the meal it self. read more

The bar tender Danny greeted me immediately, offered fresh house made slow fermented sourdough focaccia bread, and ice water. I've lived in Tracy almost my entire life and I can't believe I had never been here until last Wednesday. It was my brother's birthday, and my family and I came here for dinner. I didn't think we would need a reservation since it was a weekday. However, the restaurant was pretty packed when we arrived around 7pm. Luckily, they had outdoor availability. We were seated at a table next to a tree in the corner. It was pretty dark but we didn't mind it too, too much. For appetizers, we ordered the Hot Artichoke Dip and Cream of Mushroom soup. Both were good. I really liked the artichoke dip. It was cheesy and warm. I just wish they gave a little bit more chips. The soup had fried onions, I believe, and it was a little overpowering in my opinion. It was still enjoyable, though. For my main dish, I got the Creamy Chicken pasta. It was creamy and yummy. The other entrees were also delicious. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. For dessert, we got the banana bread pudding. Although we were all stuffed by the time this was brought out, we finished this within 5 minutes or so. It was really good! Overall, this is a solid place. I would definitely come back. read more

First time here. Great customer service. If you are looking for a nice place to go with your significant other this is the spot to be. You do need to make reservations on their website pretty easy. We went for brunch this time so it wasn't super packed when we went. They have different menus for the different time. I had the "power couple" and my husband had the "dream team." The Dream team was flavorful with a savory waffle which was nice. It was delicious. I also really loved the power couple dish, it had well seasoned and creamy potatoes with the steak. The chimichurri on the steak made the dish. We definitely will come back to try their dinner menu. read more

Amazing food and service! Haven't been to bistro 135 in years, we decoded to stop by Sunday for brunch. Outdoor seating a major plus! our server Kristin came right over and greeted us quickly. We did not know what to order she suggested the chicken waffle which had plantains and bacon inside (unfortunately i cannot recall the name of the entree!) We let her know we were sharing, she went ahead and had it separated which i highly appreciated. I highly recommend bistro for brunch, great food and ambiance. This little spot in downtown Tracy is so cute and has delicious food! I got the creamy chicken pasta and it was definitely creamy. I liked the addition of the chicken, it was cooked nicely. The service here was good and they had a pretty decent menu. This place is not really kid friendly. They don't have high chairs or booster seats so I wouldn't recommend bringing your little one unless they're in a stroller. We brought my 1 year old and it was a bit difficult to manage him since we didn't know they didn't have high chairs so we didn't think to bring our stroller. Overall, I really enjoyed my pasta and would like to explore more of their menu! read more

We finally dined in at one of our favorite take out spots in Tracy. Normally, we would order the margherita pizza but this was not on the menu. We tried the beet salad which was very nice and fresh. The bread at the table is always a hit too. I went with a deep dish pizza as it was a Tuesday special. It was pretty nice and quite filling. The servers weee all super nice and courteous. They even gave us some bread to go! The inside was slightly small but even had a full bar. Still a staple in downtown Tracy. Definitely worth a try. read more

Was craving pasta and this spot popped up. The reviews did not look disappointing but coming in was a mistake. The restaurant was advertising brunch & dinner, just to be told it was brunch. Ordered a breakfast chicken sandwich (not listed on their current menu) & kids French toast, they did not have any fruit (as it's listed on the menu). My chicken was raw ,veiny and the sandwich "bread"? Was super crumbly. Ruined appetite. What's being advertised on yelp is completely different from what you're getting inside. The food was excellent. Not sure why this is listed as an Italian restaurant; while they have some Italian items, it is a Puerto Rican restaurant and I recommend you try those items. We had the empanadillas, mofongo, pernil, and stew. Service was warm, friendly, and appropriately attentive. I rate them a five because everything was so good. However.... I ordered the ribeye and shrimp mofongo. While I've never had mofongo before, every time I see it on cooking shows the plaintain bananas are served either in a mound or smashed flat under the rest of the meal. I didn't see it at all. Being new to the cuisine, I thought perhaps the restaurant was serving it as bits of plaintain in the sauce.....and I didn't say anything or ask (my bad!). But I wasn't detecting it. So I googled the restaurant's menu item once I got home and found a photo of it -- and the shrimp are sitting on a mound of the plaintains. They clearly forgot to get that on the plate. I am positive that if I had asked about it they would have made it right -- and mistakes do happen. Having said that -- the shrimp and ribeye were cooked to perfection and the sauce was amazing. We don't live in or near Tracy, but we would definitely go back to Bistro 135 if/when we return. read more

I've been wanting a really good egg Benedict and I've finally found it! The best egg Benedict I've had in town actually! No lie! Cooked perfectly, very flavorful and so yummy on the focaccia bread! The Benedict plate came with potatoes which were very tasty also. I asked for them crispy and were cooked to my liking. I also wanted to try the scones and chicken apple sausage gravy since I'm a sucker for biscuits and gravy and it was a very delightful take on it! The scone was homemade and had great consistency. As i waited for my food they gave me some complimentary focaccia with a berry compote. Loved it! I'd totally get all this again! I was in breakfast heaven! Seriously. Good Food, Service Needs Work Overall Going to Bistro 135, the seating was a bit wonky. They had open tables and would not seat yet because of how they order the waiters to each table. But the wait wasn't too bad to get seated. The ambiance in and outside is pretty nice! Only thing that's missing is heaters outside. If you're planning to go at night, bring jackets or a blanket! Food The food was amazing, starting off with the bread and the truffle fries! The bread was so good we got a second basket! The truffle fries tasted amazing as well!!! The best pasta I would have to say was the bolognese! But ask for them to cook it a little longer.. the pasta was a little harder than al dente. Service and Timing The servers were splendid and super nice! It just took a while time wise... we sat at 6:00 and it took about an hour for all the (5) dishes to come out.
