Biscuitville is one of my favorite spots to grab a fresh cooked biscuit with some of the most tantalizing meats to complement them. One of the newest edition to the menu is the spicy honey chicken biscuit, which is really good. The hashbrowns are great, and the coffee believe it or not is good and not weak like most restaurants in the south. FYI: Biscuitville is only open in the morning and early afternoon, so be sure to stop by before 2pm

If you went a good, hearty, stick to your bones breakfast, Biscuitville would be a good choice! The drive thru was wrapped around when I arrived, so it must be good--and it was. There were a lot of tasty options, but I ordered the ultimate bacon Belgian waffle combo with cheese grits. The Belgian waffle had a nice sweetness on the outside, which paired well with the sweet and saltiness the bacon, egg and cheese. The egg was perfectly cooked, and the cheese was melted and making a nice marriage of a sandwich. The cheese grits were a little bland, but with butter, salt and pepper It ended up being really good. They definitely add a lot of cheese! If you are looking to count calories, this is not the breakfast for you. But it was tasty and filling. The customer service was friendly. I look forward to my next visit!

Chicken biscuit sandwich

Great food, great atmosphere. Only reason I give it 4 stars it's because it's just a little pricey.

Biscuitville Cajun fries I like the crispiness of the fries, as well as the light dusting of salt and Cajun spices. Spicy chicken honey The Biscuit was hard. The spiciness was not up to my level of spicy. The patty was good, and of course the honey added a sweet kick, but the bread needs some work. Strawberry lemonade (not pictured) Think of that first hot summer day and you are handed a cool refreshing lemonade drink, with lots of strawberries and not loaded in sugar. Eggs - pretty good, just needed a pinch of salt Waffle Stop selling waffles. The waffle was a biscuit that was pressed into the shape of a waffle. When I picked the waffle up it fell into two pieces, split down the middle. It was very, very dry. Probably won't ever order a waffle from here again. #southernfood #foodie #clt #comfortfood #southerncooking #cmills #foodstagram #eatlocal #southerneats #chickenandwaffles #scrambledeggs #cajunfood #friedchicken #southern #concordmills #foodiesofinstagram # #biscuitville #breakfast #honey #charlottesgotalot #gratuityadded #strawberrylemonade

Food was on par with Golden Corral, I actually think Golden Corral breakfast would be better . My food look slapped together and was just gross . I did not know they used powder eggs , I just assumed they were cracked eggs . I should have just went home and cooked my own breakfast . The cheese grits were not bad and the reason for an extra star . They were not seasoned at all but salt and pepper helped the flavor .

I heard a lot about it and had to try it. We all loves the food and the selection. The biscuits were great, and we plan to go again and again to try different menu items

Dirty counter. No coffee.

Ordered the low-carb option. Eggs were flavorless and the sausage was bland. Way too much money for what you get. Most of the tables are dirty and counter was dirty. I overheard the staff talking about personal problems. This place needs a lot of help.

My daughter called and when we arrived, we were lucky and was seated right away as a table was coming open. Small inside footprint but cozy with a full bar. Also outdoor patio seating. The hostess, our waitress and the walk around staff refilling water was top tier. Excellent customer service. Our waitress wasbbomb, I hate i forgot her name. Even though the place was packed she tooknour order in a timely manner, and kept checking on us be9fre we got our food,.kept us informed that the kitchen was busy but she on it. Allnifnkur food was delicious. My daughter had chicken and Belgium waffles, and I had the shrimp amd grits, my mom had a breast platter. All great choices. Give them a try!

Seriously. Everything has pork. I got a handheld egg sandwich with tomato and cheese on a croissant with their potatoes. Basic sandwich, dry and the cheese & tomato were an extra charge. The potatoes were hard like they're old. The mimosa was good, regular sparkling with pineapple juice. And their tip machine doubles the recommended amount so for my $9 mimosa it generates a +$3 tip at 18 % but it should have been under $2. Just wanted to point that out too. I won't be back.

I started with the orzo tomato spinach soup with feta ($3.99). I wasn't sure what to expect as I get a pasta salad done similarly but I can tell you that I was highly impressed with the tomato based broth, the depth of the broth, creamy consistency of the orzo and pieces of fresh spinach. A side of crumbled feta accompanied it to toss in - and it definitely added to the flavors!!! I originally came here for the fried catfish - and it did not disappoint! Two pieces of fish, two sides (collards and broccoli cheese) and hushpuppies was $16.99. I had originally gotten the squash but I'm not a fan of breaded and fried. My server was gracious and let me swap it out. My service was quick, my server was the absolute sweetest and I'm already trying to figure out my next visit!

It's one…read moreof those comfort foods I don't eat often because it's so rich--but when I see it on a menu, it absolutely catches my attention. That's exactly what drew me to The Southern Pecan in SouthPark. Here in the South, they call it country fried steak, and I'm happy to report this one did not disappoint. I met a colleague there for lunch, and everything about the experience felt easy from the start. The restaurant is located in Phillips Place, a lovely little shopping area that feels a bit polished and upscale--with shops like Orvis, Tory Burch, and even a Restoration Hardware restaurant nearby. They do offer valet parking, which is a nice touch, though honestly parking is easy enough on your own. We had reservations through OpenTable and were seated on the patio, which was absolutely delightful for this time of year in Charlotte. The weather was perfect, the setting was relaxed, and the service started off warm and welcoming right away. Now, the food. The country fried steak was beautifully cooked--crispy on the outside, tender inside, and served with creamy mashed potatoes and gravy that hit all the nostalgic notes from my Texas upbringing. I paired it with a vegetable side (I believe it was broccoli or corn), and it was a classic Southern plate done right. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails, and to finish, we split a praline bread pudding, which felt like the perfect Southern ending to the meal--sweet, comforting, and indulgent without being overwhelming. The staff was friendly and attentive, and one of the things I continue to appreciate about Charlotte is how easy it is to connect with people. We even chatted with diners at nearby tables, which added to that welcoming, community feel that makes dining out here so enjoyable--especially for someone coming from the Bay Area. Prices felt fair for the quality, the setting, and the portion sizes, and overall the experience left a great impression. Bottom line: If you're craving a solid Southern classic like country fried steak--or just want a relaxed patio lunch in a charming part of SouthPark--The Southern Pecan is definitely worth a visit. And as someone happily eating my way through Charlotte and the Southeast, this stop was another reminder that the journey has been a delicious one.

A must stop for both dinner and Southern breakfast enthusiasts…read more On my way home from Charlotte, I used Yelp to find me a classic diner to start my day off right. I choose the Crack of Dawn Diner in Concord. I am so glad I did. Crack of Dawn Diner is the real thing--a local Concord breakfast-and-lunch spot serving traditional Southern fare at reasonable prices. The menu caters to local tastes, the dining room is filled with regulars, and the atmosphere is comfortable rather than trendy. Parking is somewhat limited. The private lot surrounding the restaurant was fully used so I parked in the lot next door that had signs that said private property, but it looked like other patrons were parking there also so I took the chance. As it turns out, it was safe to park there. The entrance is very welcoming, as well as the staff. Amanda was my very efficient and nice waitress. There is great teamwork here, and Amanda was well supported by, I believe, the owner who ran my food out and talked a bit with me. The menu is fascinating. A distinctly North Carolina menu. Several things jumped out: * Breakfast special for $6.59 weekdays * Breakfast plates mostly under $12 * Grits included as a side option * Livermush available * City ham and country ham both offered * Pork chops available for breakfast I ordered the country-fried steak with white gravy (essentially chicken-fried steak), along with two sunny-side-up eggs, perfectly prepared grits, a large buttermilk biscuit, and a delicious diner coffee. The restaurant occupies a stand-alone building with a warm, "come on in and rest a spell" atmosphere. Inside, you'll find counter seating, an open kitchen, and tables throughout the dining room. I chose a seat by the window overlooking the parking area. This was a great breakfast, that was reasonably priced, in a great atmosphere, with very nice people. It stuck to both my mind and ribs all day long. After breakfast, I continued on to downtown Concord and spent some time exploring one of North Carolina's most charming revitalized downtown districts. The breakfast was the perfect start to the morning. Crack of Dawn Diner has earned a spot on my repeat list whenever my travels take me through the Charlotte-Concord area.
