We tried the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit along with the hash brown casserole, and everything was absolutely incredible. The biscuits were fresh, buttery, and full of flavor. What made the experience even better was being able to sit there and watch the staff make the biscuits from scratch right in front of us. You can truly taste the difference when food is made fresh like that. We enjoyed it so much that we even bought some day-old biscuits to take home and make our own biscuits and gravy. I'm came to "Biscuitville" years ago with my ex, way before I became a Yelper; so for year, this place was only in my memories. Fast forward to 2024 and a trip through North Carolina, to finally come again. When I pulled into the parking lot, the drive through was busy. I remember it being a good restaurant, but this good? Coming inside they have a yellow theme though-out. The line inside was as busy as outside. After finally getting to the counter I placed my order and the price was right. I had to sit a bit and wait, but it was worth it. This was a first time for my brother, and I bragged so much, I hoped it lived up to his expectations. It did! He loved the cheese grits, the sausage, and their signature namesake the biscuit! He was upset he hasn't been here his entire life. But we both made up for last time. This review would be a 2 star for most people. However, when a restaurant rights a wrong I will not penalize them with a scathing review or rating. What had happened was I had time. One rare bright morning before I had to be at my desk I had time to grab something from Biscuitville. I have visited this location many times before. I remember when they built this location. Food is excellent. Service is fast. This particular day I had my mouth all ready for some grits with butter not sugar! Don't debate me! I ordered grits and a side of jalapeño pimento cheese. The menu board lists both of these under sides. The drive thru wasn't even wrapped around the building. My visit had to be ordained! I got my order and asked for extra butter (see above). No. Didn't check my order. Those brown paper bags are packed tight around the food. And it's Biscuitville. After a Chic-fil-a comes Biscuitville in that no mistakes are made. They too do the Lord's work. Lol! Reach in to get the side of jalapeño cheese. It's a scoop $1.50 for a 1 oz scoop? I mean it woulda been great for a sandwich. Flavorful. Appears to be homemade. The receipt says scoop. Uhhhhh okay. Won't order that again. Overpriced. Dear Biscuitville, a scoop is not a side. At best this is a $0.75 sandwich or biscuit add-on but not a side. I've ordered grits here before. Usually there is butter swimming on top and it escapes the container. You end up with a greasy bag. I checked the bag and was pleasantly surprised at no grease stains. #RedFlag Arrived at work. I had some pep in my step cuz I had my grits. I get my workstation set up. Now it's time for the main event. Reach in the bag only to pull out a container of sausage gravy! WWWHHHHAAATTT?!? My heart sunk. My stomach was "like this scoop of jalapeño pimento cheese is supposed to get us through til lunch?" Any other day Fat Me woulda scarfed down that gravy sans biscuit. I called the store to tell them what happened. Also told them I couldn't come back until lunch time. The nice lady said she would be there. With blood sugar dropping, I go back with the bag, gravy and receipt in tow. They asked if I wanted anything else. No. (Fool me once shame on me.) They fully refunded my money. They made it right. Our treat to ourselves, when leaving town, is to stop by Biscuitville on Huffman Mill Rd, Burlington, NC. On the last trip (maybe 2 months ago) our biscuits were doughy and not done. Ok so sometimes things happen. So we stopped this morning and got some biscuits. 3 of them were good. the 4th one was a bacon, egg & cheese. They used to be so really really good. This morning it looked like they have changed how they make them now. The biscuit was sooo much falter ... the egg was very thin & the bacon - I could see through it ... needed to be cooked a bit longer and the biscuit was "doughy" like the one we had 2 months ago. Their prices have almost doubled in the last 3 years and the quality has been lowered. it's as if the company has been sold and new management is wanting to increase their bottom line and is cutting quality & increasing price. Definitely one of the best Buiscuitville locations I've visited. I stopped in and went through the drive-thru, the line was almost all the way around the building, they had a person out in the car line taking orders on an ipad, the line moved very fast, I was in and out in about 10 minutes and there was probably 10 cars in front of me, excellent job on drive-thru. Let me just say that as I grew up in the south and was raised on sweet tea, biscuits, and grits as a staple, this didn't enthuse me! Just came to biscuitville with my dad like we do every Saturday, to my surprise they told us they stopped making HONEY BUNS like seriously that's like the best thing on the menu. We have been coming here for years because of the good biscuits and amazing honey buns but I feel now biscuitville is starting to go down hill the biscuits are rarely cooked and so is the egg my dad gets on his biscuit. We had to check out this NC institution because we heard so much raves about this place. You can pick and match side dishes to the biscuits/meats you want. I had a biscuit with sausage and a side of cheesy grid and a sweet tea, and I must say, I really enjoyed the combo meal! Price was affordable, just as any other fast food chain...although Biscuitville seems more charming with a biscuit making station that you can view them making biscuits live while waiting. Wow! Over sized biscuits made fresh right in front of you! Breakfast sandwiches that are really better than any I've had outside my own kitchen! You order at a counter, find a seat and wait for your order. It was fast, I ordered a chicken egg and cheese biscuit and a sausage egg and cheese biscuit. OMG! I've driven by Biscuitville my whole life & never stopped in since I'm not really a breakfast person. I finally stopped in while on a family trip, at at the urging of friends who love the place. My friends done me right, as this place is awesome. I had the catfish sandwich which was served with tartar sauce, just like it's supposed to be. Unlike the fish sandwich at McD's, this is a real fish filet, lightly breaded & fried deliciously. The bread was just right. I had the side of country fries, as they call them, they're like KFC's tater wedges, and very nice. They accidentally gave us some of the sweet potato casserole as a side, which was a delightful accident. It's just like grandma used to make. Wife had the pimento cheese & bacon biscuit... I love Biscuitville! This brings back memories of when I went to college very close by to hear at Elon. The only problem is that they close at 2 PM. So if you want to get your biscuit and sweet tea fix you need to go before then. Other than that I absolutely love this place. The drive-through is quick and sitting inside is clean and fast. I personally like the ultimate sausage biscuit. They're sweet tea is super sweet if you're looking for a good sweet. Biscuits are made fresh in front of you at the store which is really exciting to watch! The staff is friendly and some of the same people have been there for years which I enjoy seeing at his local store. So many people recommended Biscuitville so I decided to give it a try. Went through the drive through & got 3 orders. They forgot the sides for my combo orders. My honey chicken had a broken biscuit & it was like only the bottom was dipped in honey which also leaked out the bag. They gave us no straws for the bag. By far my favorite place for breakfast. Brought my wife and son for breakfast Sunday morning and had a great experience. We dined in. Seating was great. It was packed but they had two registers and someone working the line. They had two workers going around the restaurant taking trash ,bringing condiments, refilling drinks. We got asked at least 3 times to refill drinks and pick up trash off the table. Everyone was extremely nice and were very talkative to my 4 year old. The food was amazing. I love the spicy honey chicken biscuit. It was perfect. My son got pancake and sausage. My wife got a biscuit. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean for a fast food place.
