Really enjoy having breakfast here. Decent cup of coffee and big portions that are fairly priced. There is plenty of seating. The only knock is that the staff seems to be overwhelmed and a little slow every time i eat here. Stopped over here for breakfast with my family on our way to a Spring Training game and when we pulled up i saw that there was a lot of people waiting so I figured this place must be good. Waited about 30 minutes for a table we got seated and our waitress was good she has our drinks to the table pretty fast and she was officiant with our order. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and it was really good the biscuits and gravy were excellent and you could tell that all the food was homemade. Great breakfasts (we haven't had had lunch there, but friends say it's good). Portions are generous, service is good. They wore masks, condiments were in individual serving packages, tables were spaced, and after each group left a young man did a great job of spraying and wiping down the tables and chairs. I am visiting Phoenix and my daughter has been wanting to try out Biscuits. When we walked in, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and spacious it was. One of the hostesses greeted us kindly, and took us to our table. When we got to the table, it was very awkward, though. There were open, clean tables everywhere, but she took us to one that was being bussed and said "here we are!" Our server was very prompt to get to our table. We ordered our food. I got the avocado eggs benedict with hash browns. It tasted AWFUL, like it was cooked in week old grease. The hollandaise was very broken and the texture was bad. The browns were disgusting as well, obviously cooked in the same old grease and they were soggy. I took three bites and was done. The server came back and asked if I wanted a Togo box. I said no, that it was not good. She never asked what was wrong with the meal! She just said "ok" and put down the bill. I told the cashier the issue. She wanted to ask the manager to take the meal off- I said no, I'll pay for what I ordered. My intent is not to get a free meal - my intent is to get a good meal and kind service. read more

This used to be our go to spot even though it's pricey, everything used to be consistent. This is our third instance of their decline and by far the worst. Previously, we had chalked it up to them being extremely busy. But this time, there wasn't any excuse. We ordered two omelets, a coffee and a small juice. Total with tip $43. The food was actually inedible, we left full plates of food. We were seated quickly for a Saturday morning. We got our drinks quickly but waited 15 minutes for place settings as none were available. Coffee was no longer hot by the time we got the silverware. Food took another 25 minutes and was brought out by two waitresses whose demeanor does not lend to the food service industry. Food came out room temp with one of the orders of hash browns being slightly warmer. One order looked undercooked and was ice cold. The other was browned (looked good) but was warm at best. The butter on the pancakes did not melt in the 45 minutes after receiving the food. They were ice cold. It took another 15 minutes to flag down our waiter. Who up until this point never checked on us. We asked him to reheat the food instead of re-firing it given his attitude we were concerned what may happen to the food once remade. At the same time we asked him to reheat it, we also tried to explain what else was wrong with the meal. He abruptly took the plates and walked away. The insides of the omelets were placed on the plates and the egg portion placed on top, not folded. It seemed pretty clear that the food was premade and was attempted to be reheated to serve. Unfortunately they were over cooked the first time by the extremely tough, chewy and dry texture of the egg. The meat lovers had extremely dried out meat and the vegetables in the other one were raw and loaded with grease/butter whatever they cook it in and covered the entire plate. The buttermilk pancakes besides being cold, had a rubber texture and crunchy top. This was all before anything was reheated. Reheating did not make things better. It was just a cold as when we sent it away. It seems like reheating wasn't even attempted. To say this premade food was subpar is giving it something. They should be ashamed and embarrassed to serve food like that, especially when it is so expensive. In the five years we have been going there, it has tanked in quality and service. We left full plates on the table, paid the bill and was dismissed by the cashier. Asked for management. The first thing she noticed was the butter on the pancakes had not even started to melt and our plates were still full. She offered to remake the meals but we had just wasted an hour and a half without eating and just wanted to leave. Not a mention about talking with staff to ensure this type of service/quality (both kitchen and wait staff) does not happen again. As soon as she finished with us, the waiter ran up to her and gave us the "stink eye". Shame on us for wanting good, hot food and hold people accountable to do their job. This was our last trip there. You can get better premade food at a grocery store, cheaper. read more

I like the ambiance of the environment and Larissa was an exceptional server! The portions are large, so if you aren't really hungry, you might want to consider sharing. After being quoted a 45 minute wait at IHOP We decided to try this place. We were seated within the 10 minutes quoted by the hostess. Drink order was promptly filled and came with a warning from our waitperson that pretty much amounted to "the kitchen is in the weeds" That would have been OK except for the fact that our server went to Siberia after telling us that. Iced tea glasses were left unfilled. And the food took 45 minutes to show up. I had the smoked brisket Benedict....the beef was good, the hollandaise was good however I did not expect such a rich dish to be served with a 3" x 12" slab of hash browns. Good crisp on them but underdone in the center. And it would have been nice to find a yolk in my poached eggs. My dining companion ordered the Southwest Scramble. It promised big flavor but didn't deliver. A half bottle of chiplolte Tabasco was required. Biscuits probably does a much better job Monday through Friday....don't stop by on the weekends. read more

I told the server I had an egg allergy. She clearly never alerted the kitchen. When I brought this to her attention, she had an attitude and took my golden bread, (obviously had eggs in it, which was confirmed by the kitchen), from the table in her bare hands. Another server came to the table to try to make things right. I asked if she was the manager, and she replied, 'no, but I'm in charge today'. She offered to have the plate remade but clearly did not understand or did not care about the seriousness of the incident. I told her my allergy isn't anaphylactic but someone else's might be. She told me the waitress had no way to know the bread had eggs in it. I told her that it is the server's responsibility to alert the kitchen, and they definitely should know. No one cared. The food was decent, but beware if you have food allergies. They do not cater nor do they care. This is a very dangerous situation. Please be safe. read more

For being so close to home, this is a gem! I got the almond crusted French toast as well as one of the omelets with a biscuit. The French toast was to die for and had a great texture and flavor profile. The omelet had many ingredients and were all deliciously paired. One of the things that stood out to me more than anything was the raspberry jam. The biscuit with this name on it was my favorite part. I really enjoy this place. This place is great for breakfast and is a far better choice than IHOP, Village Inn or Dennys. They know how to back to and the food is always fresh. They're able to turn their tables over fast enough that when you're waiting (Which is often the case) you usually won't have to wait too long, however, there have been times when the wait has been up to 45 minutes to an hour. We all know that waiting to eat is never fun, but there's a reason there's a wait. Anyone that enjoys great food knows that word gets around when an establishment has great food. This not the best restaurant I've had breakfast at, but it's worth the wait. The pancakes, bacon and eggs are exceptional and the other pastries are always delicious. I ordered two Benedict's and a hot chocolate to-go. We asked if they could do curbside to go or just bring it outside(my grandma is almost 80 and doesn't like going in places right now). They said they wouldn't be able to bring it outside for her which I knew should have been enough to cancel the order(not accommodating at all). We decided to proceed and asked if they could start preparing in 15 minutes because we were 30 minutes away. We arrived 35 minutes after that and they didn't have our order. They said they made it so long ago they threw it away??? Weird. So they remade our food and my grandma brought it home. When I got it I saw that the bacon was nearly raw(I asked them if they could burn it) and I took a drink of the hot chocolate and it just tasted like water?? We ended up throwing everything away. I always have great respect for anybody that can keep their cool when their customers are treating them like poop. Will definitely be back to only sit in Coco's section. We went with 4 adults 2 kids on a Saturday about 12:30. We were seated promptly and the staff was very friendly. We preferred our food and shortly thereafter the food started to come out. We received 3 meals and no silverware. We had to ask several times before they brought some to us. Our next order that came was not correct, so they took them back and came back wrong once again. My order of a California Chicken Burger came but was sliced turkey and by the time they brought me my food everyone else was done. However, I will tell you that our waitress did as much as she could possibly do to make it right. The manager delivered my food and apologized for the mix up as well as comped that meal for us. I am glad I waited for the correct order because it was delicious. I will definitely go back and order that again. Hopefully they will be able to deliver on all accounts. read more
