Even though this is a chain breakfast joint and inside a tiny tiny parking lot next to an Optometry office, the breakfast was off large portion, delicious, and fair priced. The service was fast and the staff was friendly. This isn't where you bring your out of town friends for amazing Portland brunch, but a place you go locally to fill up before a long day. Imagine Denny's but on steroids and around the same price. read more

The platter was Huge. Definitely Can share one order. I ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy with a side of hush puppies and a cinnamon role. I highly recommend all 3 but oh man I especially fell in love with the cinnamon Role. It was sooooo good! read more

Biscuits is definitely a step up from your big box waffle houses. There's a high amount of coffee turnover here so that means it's always fresh when it comes to you. The portions are generous and the food is always fresh. I recommend trying the eponymous biscuits here along with the jam. Excellent! As far as service, they were all quick to take and deliver my order. And I never had the chance to see the bottom of my coffee cup! For the same amount of money, the service and quality is definitely better than an IHOP, but not quite as good as a place like Mothers. Good: 4 stars read more

I love restaurant, but today the waitress was rude, she sat us at an open seating area, and we asked nicely is we could sit at the open both, and with an attitude she said I have to clean it, when she seated us it was obvious she was upset, so I asked why the attitude? It just made for an unpleasant stay at a nice restaurant, food was 100% as always!!! Super huge portions and bang for your buck. Will I ever go back to the one on Johnson creek, HELL NO.... but I will go the the other friendly location of Biscuits Cafe. read more

I've come here a few times now for breakfast:) the food is great! I'm always seated fairly quick and greeted by our server promptly. I haven't had a problem with wait times even when it seems busy, our food usually comes out pretty quick too. My son loved the chicken & waffles and the hot coco & I absolutely loved the almond crusted French toast! It's now my fav! Also very decent prices, especially for the amount of food you're getting! We always leave with a to go box of what we couldn't finish lol. Last time we were there, it was $28 for two breakfasts and coffee, then to my surprise I got $5 off in points from their rewards program! Super cool! read more

We went on a Sunday for brunch. It was so packed my first thought was forget it, let's go somewhere else. But then I thought, if it's this packed, it must me good. Be advised there I'd like no space really to wait except for 1 bench so I felt like anywhere I stood I wad in the way. Despite the amount of people waiting, we only waited about 15 minutes for a table. The service was promt and the good was soooo fresh the live up to their motto "we don't serve fast food. We serve fresh food as fast as we can." I tried the biscuits and gravy. Very good flaky, buttermilk, biscuits. The gravy had a taste of thyme. This place was worth the wait and I'll be back. read more

We didn't have any expectations of the place, aside from potentially having to wait, and were pleasantly surprised by not only the fast service, but the delicious breakfast too! The B+G was a solid choice that didn't disappoint. My wife had the almond crusted French toast. It was some of the best French toast we've ever had. Syrup was provided, but unnecessary. We will definitely be back ... next time with the kids! read more

Hearty breakfast fare. Had the specialty "brisket benedict" w hollandaise on the side and red potatoes. Brisket was not as dry as it looked (prob better served w hollandaise sauce on it :) and eggs werent as runny as I usually like but all in all...satisfied and better then the basic breakfast joint. Ill be back to try other dishes. Also service was attentive and speedy. Yaaaassss. read more

We have been here twice. Both times the service and the food was great. The second time the cooks seemed to lose our order and it took a while, but worth the wait. If you are in a hurry, don't go here. They even tell you this. The biscuits and homemade jam are worth the drive. read more

I'd rate this place with negative stars if I could, but I guess 1 star will have to do. I spent $60 on an order for breakfast through Uber Eats. My order included 2 orders for pancakes. They decided to pack my order, but didn't include butter or syrup. I call the place and all they tell me is they'll set aside some syrup. Why would anyone want to eat cold pancakes? Why should I drive to you when you forgot to pack it? You guys should find a new profession because customer service or prepping food ain't it. I should have got McDonald's, at least they include butter and syrup with their pancake orders and for a fraction of the cost. read more

In today's day and age to not have Wi-Fi is ridiculous. If you're looking for a spot to do a little work while you eat breakfast this is definitely not the place. I see that there are two different Internet connections for the establishment to which none of them are shared with their customers. One thing in my feedback is that this is completely ridiculous and you can buy a router for less than $100 to provide your customers with high speed Internet. read more

This is our go to breakfast spot. It's very affordable and the food is top notch. We always have leftovers when we we leave because the portions are quite generous. My only complaint would be that it is not very big and parking can be a pain. If you go there on a weekend morning prepare to put your name on the list. Overall though I would definitely recommend. The omelettes are awesome and the breakfast steak is great too! read more

My family went here for breakfast. It was delicious. We had a scramble, French toast breakfast, an omelet, and a couple of kid meals. The portions were huge! The menu has a big selection. Everything came out hot and fresh! We all enjoyed our meals. The staff were all very pleasant. They have a lot of seating indoor and outdoor. If we are ever in lake Oswego again we would definitely stop here again. read more

I normally love Biscuits and just had the most disappointing delivery from them. I had ordered the chicken fried steak with red potatoes, over medium eggs and for the gravy to be on the side. What I received was chicken fried chicken, scrambled eggs, hash browns and gravy on top of the chicken making it inedible and soggy. I tossed the chicken and eggs and just had the hash browns and biscuits (which I had also requested for the restaurant made jam as this has never been an issue before and received the pre packaged freezer jam). Not sure I will be ordering delivery from them again. read more

So I just ordered two omelettes from this place through Uber Eats. Aside from the fact that they forgot the condiments, the food itself wasn't great. The potatoes just tasted like somebody cut up potatoes and the omelettes didn't seem to be seasoned in any way and certainly weren't worth $14.... they weren't terrible.. but they just tasted like the basic ingredients... not a recipe of any kind... Not too happy. read more

Customer service was great our waiter he was very nice, I did observe that the cooks don't wear gloves when they cook so I was shook on that touching raw meat in between touching bread I was shock, then the older lady that wear her glasses on top of her head place her dirty shoes on-top of the chairs to tie her shoes she didn't wash the chair seat off how rude probably won't come back to eat here overall the food was ok the French toast was least my favorite due to bread too thick! read more

Biscuits isn't my favorite place for breakfast in Portland, but it is the place I go when I don't want to travel far from home and they have decent food at good prices. I do like their variety of breakfast items and my favorite is the avocado benedict. The poached eggs are just the right amount of runny for me and the hashbrowns are the right amount of crispy. Also good is the Joe's scramble and the almond crusted french toast, which comes in a combo. Any place that you can get french toast or pancakes in a combo with eggs and bacon, instead of ordering them on the side for more money, gets gold stars from me! read more

I ordered the country Benedict. Eggs were over poached. Sausage was cold. Biscuits cold. Years ago I enjoyed this restaurant chain. But for the price/quality I'd prefer a food cart anywhere over this. Service was good, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I've tried this with my wife on three seperate times, and all three times left wondering why I tried this place. The first time I I signed up for the rewards program and got Biscuits and Gravy. The gravy was nasty. The biscuits tasted like it had a hint of soap in it. Overall food 2/10. Second time in, I hadn't been in for over a month so I got a $5 off coupon sent to my email...I gave them another try, and tried lunch instead. I got the Friday Fish and Chips/Chowder special. The fries are straight from frozen bag to grease, to plate. Flavorless. The fish was okay, and the garlic toast that came with it was uneatable. The chowder was okay. Overall food 3.5/10. Third time in, I got hooked by the coupon once again. Hadn't been there in over 90-days, so they gave me a $10 off voucher. Tried the Tenderloin Chicken Strips w/ fries + Side of onion rings. The onion rings are basically a bigger version of what you would get from Burger King, minus flavor. Ate 1 and stopped. The Chicken strips I had to stop when I bit into a yellow ball of fat and spit it back on the plate (see picture). The breading was separated from the chicken, which means they were most likely frozen to ready chicken. It was just pure garbage. Overall food 1/10, and the one was because the Soda was good. They got me twice on the coupons, but never again! This is one place I wouldn't even eat at if they told me it was on them, because it's that bad! My dogs enjoyed the chicken though. read more

We come here quite a bit on the weekends and get breakfast to go.. we live right up the hill so it's great to swing by and pick up brunch. We have eaten in the restaurant before as well, but it is a little sterile feeling so we prefer the take out. The food is usually pretty good.. diner food for sure, but good. If you're looking for a greasy spoon breakfast for brunch or after a night of drinking, this is a great option. If you're looking for a classic Portland brunch spot, head to Genie's downtown. However, the food is still good. We like the omelettes, biscuits and gravy, and eggs your way.. I also love the Cobb salad for lunch. Staff is very friendly.. all of them, it seems, are high school/college kids with their first job. So patience and compassion is important. Pro Tip: The take out is WAY faster than eating in. If you're staying in to eat the wait will be long, so don't plan to just pop in. read more

Seems like a really nice diner for breakfast and lunch. I ordered the vegan burrito and it was suppose to come vegan chorizo, eggs, tomato, vegan cheese, peppers, onion and refried beans. It was more refried beans and cheese. It was kind of disappointing. And it cost me $20.00! read more

We came here a couple months ago in search for our new, close-to-home breakfast spot. I ordered an eggs florentine, BF ordered a shrimp omelet with avocado. Mine came out with a handful of cold spinach leaves, cold, waxy slices of tomato, and stale, cold English muffins. What the?! I just stared at it for a while but still ate it in disbelief since I was so hungry. BF's omelet had a heaping scoop of plain bay shrimp dumped all on one side, and a half of an avocado literally scooped out whole on the other side. We LOVE avocados, but dang, he was mad. Really, they couldn't spread it out just a bit? And it smelled really, really shrimpy. I wondered if the cook had to take a major dump and just threw everything on our plates before the a pants explosion happened. Then recently, I found out that they are a franchised-chain (so maybe there's a good egg out there) and their motto is "we don't serve fast food, we serve fresh food as fast as we can!" I usually have something to say when we get a meal that makes me wish I just stayed home and cooked myself, but the servers seemed useless, whiney and stressed enough about their love lives and coworkers, as we sat there and got a loud verbal display of their very sad lives. Unimpressed and left feeling a little angry. read more

I have yet to figure out out why people are ripping on this place for being "a local chain." It's a local small business that has done well and has been able to grow. That's something to be proud of. This place reminds me of a crappy diner in a strip mall with corn syrup for the pancakes and waffles, watery coffee, yucky defrosted non seasonal frozen fruit on the waffles that is all soggy with fake whip cream... oh, WAIT.. it IS that. Won't do that again. Ugh. So gross! Blech! My veggie wrap was disgusting. Soggy, the refried beans seemed like they were straight from a can, the veggies was nothing more than really over cooked soggy spinach, it was dripping from the watery-ness. and lacked flavor. My coffee was watery. No flavor. You already read in the intro what my wife's meal was like. Lots of cars, empty bike rack, suburban cold. Not a place I want to re-visit. I will stay in P Town with mah peeps. I paid just as much for two breakfast meals as I would in Portland where I would be having a solid breakfast with real maple syrup, fruit that is fresh, and a burrito that was not like eating soggy wash rags. read more

Melissa G, you're review was very similar to our experience. You were the lucky one that didn't end up getting food poisoning. We went in for a late breakfast, around 11am. My fiance ordered the same shrimp omelet your bf got. It came out with a surprisingly strong seafood smell to it. It smelled very, very strongly of bad shrimp/bad fish (strong seafood aroma) We made mention of it to our server and she said they're shrimp was fresh, and all their food was made fresh daily. Well after 5 or so bites, my fiance had enough of the overly fishy aroma She took the rest home with her, and ended up throwing the rest away at work that night , because the shrimp tasted so bad. Well that night, at her work and at home, she got sick. Pretty damn sick indeed. All the tell tale signs of food poisoning were there, trust me... All the while, we knew who the culprit was. We contacted the owner the next day and told her of our situation. She repeated the same fresh line the server had told us, "our food is made fresh daily and we've never had a problem with a customer getting food poisoning before." Okay, so either we're lying, or this is her first food poisoning incident (which it was). She continues, "I'm very busy right now, I can comp your meal, otherwise I have to go because I'm busy." Well obviously we took the 2nd option with an attitude like that. This was literally like our 14th or 15th time eating at this Biscuits, and we had never had problems before; but this incident was enough to make us go elsewhere. Unfortunately for this place, the owner is too overwhelmed to care about her customers, especially repeats. And they do not us fresh ingredients! Go somewhere else people! read more

We've been here a handful of times because a dear friend (senior citizen), and my husband enjoy the large portions. Old School, average, standard and "American"are all appropriate adjectives to describe Biscuits. The owners met while working at Sambo's back in 1968, so, if you're old enough to remember Sambo's that will give you a good idea of what to expect at Biscuits. Heavy food, high in fat, sodium and cholesterol because is what they're all about. Granted, these folks don't claim to serve healthy food or cater to special diets, I'm just sharing my observations. Atmosphere = 1 star at best. This location is in a 'modern' strip mall space overlooking a large parking lot and the 205 freeway looking west. The eating area is filled with tables in a completely open space so it feels crowded and, when busy, (which it has been every time we've been) it is quite loud. Yes, the portion sizes are BIG but the food is truly average. Let me clarify--this is a few steps above Denny's or Sherri's quality but it's just nothing special. The items are also very hit-or-miss. Some items are decent, others (eggs benedict, corned beef hash) are really bad. If you're on any sort of restrictive diet (i.e. gluten-free, dairy-free, low-fat, low-sodium, etc.) all I can say is good luck eating at Biscuits. Pros: *Polite staff *Decent standard coffee (leaded or unleaded not espresso, doubt it's local) *Large portions (if that equates with value for you) *Moderate pricing *Location? I don't prefer it but it is right off I-205 and near SE 82nd/Johnson Creek so if you drive it's easy to find/get to. *Lots of parking on-site (for some folks that's a plus) Cons: *Busy, noisy and feels crowded (not a place to relax and linger) *Decor is lacking (i.e. there really is none) *Location is not accessible via public transit (but that's standard for Happy Valley and Clackamas County in general and no fault of Biscuits.) *Food is heavy, greasy, salty, unhealthy and some items are just bad. read more

I waited 10 minutes to place my order and 40 minutes to receive my food after watching several people who ordered after me get their food first. Let me tell ya a little story about me and Biscuits Cafe. Ya see, me and Biscuits got off to a bad start. Waited about 5 minutes to be seated, since the single person at the front was ringing out other people --- OK, I get it, y'all are busy. When I was seated, the young guy promised me a coffee... and never returned. I cried. I went through withdrawal. I wondered if I had done something to scorn him. Luckily, my waitress swooped in to the rescue and was absolutely on top of it the entire time I was there from that point (without hovering). I got the "Keeping it Simple" with 2 pancakes, 2 eggs and a biscuit with gravy (who would I be if I didn't get a biscuit at Biscuits Cafe?!). It was all delicious, and I smashed it into my mouth faster than you can say, "I'm still wondering why that nice young man didn't bring me coffee." read more
