Service was amazing! Food was amazing! Parking is a bit tough but manageable if you park in the residential area nearby. we ordered The Gloria and let me tell you it's very filling! it's the largest dish on their menu and it fed 3 of us!!! Not too bad, right?!?!? it's a walk-up but again the service they're providing is great! Just passed by on my visit to Austin from LA! :) The gravy was super flavorful!

Great food. You need to eat it hot and fresh on the picnic table right away to get the best flavor. Sadly the gravey gets cold relatively quick so get to eating! The Johnny Hash has nearly everything on it and is delicious. There is a proper vegetarian option available that's vegan friendly. These biscuits are as good as any you'll have in Texas.

Food: was it good? Eh. On the fence. If you enjoy a ton of gravy overpowering the biscuit and the one piece of bacon then sure. Was the small container of potatoes worth $1.50? No. This is the container you put condiments in. Service was ok. Not rude just lacked continuity. Ambiance: ok location. Seating is decent. Older colorful picnic tables. However, sitting at one of the tables there was a lovely smell of natural gas coming from one of the pipes so there's that. Would not go again. 2 1/2 stars but won't let me put that.

Biscuits, gravy, sausage and bacon, does it get any better? No! Biscuits and Groovy is a must-visit spot for anyone craving a hearty, delicious breakfast. Their biscuits are soft, savory, and perfectly baked, providing a perfect base for their delicious gravy. Whether you're a breakfast enthusiast or just looking for a filling meal, this place delivers a comforting, delicious experience that leaves you satisfied and will have you going back for more. The location is a little challenging as it's right off the road and there's not much parking so be prepared when you go to circle around a bit to find somewhere to park.

Stopped by Biscuits and Groovy for an on-the-go breakfast while visiting Austin. Food was good, service was friendly efficient, and the theming of the menu items were on point. Stopped by on a weekday morning and customers were consistently coming by to either pickup or place orders. Definitely a popular spot and with good reason. Biscuits and Groovy is a food truck with a few tables located nearby for patrons to enjoy their food on site (although most people seemed to take their order to go). As others have mentioned, parking can be a challenge. My husband ended up dropping me off to order and wait for the food while scouring the nearby area for parking. The menu is pretty straight forward with each entree having different variations of a set of items. Our order consisted of - The Donna (substituted sausage for bacon) - The M.C. Hammer Food was fresh, warm, and tasty. Biscuits were a great texture and their delicious gravy was smothered on both items in our order generously. The bacon, eggs, cheese, and chives complemented the biscuits and gravy perfectly. My husband and I were both pleased (and full) from our orders. Biscuits and Groovy is definitely worth checking out. They suited our needs for the morning as we needed something quick to take on the go. The food is of good quality and will leave you satisfied until your next meal.

I have been wanting to try B&G for the longest time, and due to not making proper brunch reservations anywhere else/not wanting to wait 30 min-1 hour to eat, I ended up coming here with my sis and friend for Saturday's super late breakfast! The parking situation is SO confusing. It says "not to park in the alley" or behind Peddler's bike shop...but then, where? We parked behind Peddler's anyways since we would be eating quickly, and because we really didn't know where else we could go! I got the The Village (Three freshly baked buttermilk biscuits topped with white pepper gravy, sausage, jalapenos, colby jack cheese, black pepper and chives) but made vegetarian. I love how they can make any of their dishes vegetarian or even vegan! I was in love with the biscuits, the gravy not so much. My sister and friend also enjoyed their dishes, but my friend thought the price was too much for just biscuits. For me, it hit the spot and I definitely wanted to curl up and take a nap since all the blood did indeed rush to my stomach and got to work, haha!

Wow this place is awesome! Every single item on the menu can be made completely vegan or vegetarian! It's very reasonably priced too. The 1 biscuit option is already a pretty big portion in my opinion, but most menu items include 3 biscuits. I found the vegan gravy a bit too salty, but overall really good. We came on a Sunday around 12:30 and it came out fast, within 10 minutes. All outdoor seating, but most in the shade. Highly recommend checking Biscuits and Groovy out!

The food was amazing, simple things done at the hugest level. The staff was very nice, even at the peak of their business. The neighborhood it's located in is so beautiful and it makes for a very pleasant dining experience. I'd love to come again!

I generally love this place, though they tend to take a bit to get you your food. However, it's typically good. It's right by my house so I walk there on weekends to eat. I stopped in today to grab a bite before I had to jump on the road for an 8 hour drive home for the weekend. I waited patiently over 40 minutes. When I went back up to the window I noticed several people that ordered way after me had already received their food. They forgot my order completely. No apology or attempt to try to fix the situation. I received a refund but even that took a a bit for them to figure out how to do. It was a disappointing experience.

Biscuits and Groovy has been on my Austin bucket list for years and I finally got the chance to cross it off the list on my most recent trip to Austin. This place is an Austin favorite, so I planned an early arrival to beat the crowds. Parking sucks here. Pay attention to the signs in front of the business as it clearly says, do not park in the alley or the gas station. I found street parking in the neighborhood very easily. The business itself is a cool looking trailer, next to the bike shop with a small patio off to the side. I got there early, so ordering with the cool and friendly staff was a breeze. They give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. The menu is pretty simple. You got freshly made buttermilk biscuits served in a variety of different ways. The common denominator in most of the dishes is white pepper gravy but topped with different toppings. You can also get a regular ole biscuit, topped with butter and jam. You really can't go wrong here. I was undecided like usual so they suggested I go with their best seller, the Gloria Gaynor. It's a large dish and can easily be shared, but I did a pretty good job of knocking most of it out myself. It was three open faced biscuits, topped with their delicious gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, jalapenos, cheese, pepper and chives. This dish not only looked glorious and comforting, but it also tasted absolutely delicious. That gravy was one of the better white gravies that I've had. The biscuits were buttery, light and flaky. Just like I like them. The eggs were done just right, not too runny, not too hard. I will say I felt the proteins were a little light. I would've liked a little more sausage and bacon in every bite. The jalapenos were of the pickled variety and added a little bit of heat. The green onions added a nice bite of freshness to the dish to cut through all the richness of all the other components. I was thoroughly satisfied with this dish. As far as drinks go, the only options is freshly squeezed OJ. I was all about that and really liked it, but a coffee option would have came in clutch too. Luckily there is a coffee shop next door if you really have to get that caffeine fix. I am so glad I finally got to the check this spot out. It definitely did not disappoint and I would gladly come back!

    The Donna with vegetarian sausage

I loved everything about our quick visit to Biscuits + Groovy, except maybe the parking. The service was excellent, food was ready quick and the area is a nice collection of local businesses. The seating is limited since it's a food truck on the corner of an intersection, so we got our food to go and it didn't impact quality at all. We got the Donna with veg sausage and two sandwiches with added sausage patties, and a fresh squeezed OJ. The biscuits are incredibly soft and warm, the gravy was perfect thickness and the vegetarian sausage was tasty and well spiced. My partner said his sandwiches were fine but what really stood out was the juice. So yummy! It's hard to find vegetarian biscuits with sausage and gravy, and this hit the spot! Will be excited to come back for more.

Bang for your buck portions! I got the Donna, which is 3 scrambled eggs on biscuits. As not a big eater, it was definitely big enough to split into two. There are a few picnic tables nearby to eat at. I ended up parking at the gas station across the street, which I'm not sure if that was kosher, but it was early enough that I didn't feel bad about it. Overall, a solid place to go to if you really like biscuits!

I should have gotten regular home fries, because the hashbrown casserole was cheesy and I wanted something to soak up the hollandaise and egg. Their burger is easily one of the best I've had in Austin, especially paired with their thin, crispy fries. It's my go-to order almost every time. Right now they have the steak au poivre, which is incredible, although I'm still craving their steak frites and hoping it makes a comeback. The escargot and French onion soup are also favorites of mine. At this point, June's has become a staple in our house--usually with a couple of Diet Cokes and either the burger or whatever steak they're featuring. A few of my friends swear by the chicken sandwich (fair warning: it can get a little messy!), the half roasted chicken, and the tuna crudo, so you really can't go wrong no matter what you order. On top of the amazing food, the staff is always incredibly kind and welcoming, which keeps us coming back. My biggest issue started before I even got seated. There is a QR code that you're required to use to join the waitlist/queue, but this is not clearly communicated on their website. You essentially have to arrive at the restaurant and figure it out once you're there. For a restaurant that is known for having long waits and high traffic, I feel like this information should be clearly stated online so people can plan accordingly. Once I joined the queue, I was number 43 and ended up waiting about an hour and a half before being seated. I understand that popular restaurants can have long wait times, but the lack of transparency about how the process works made the experience more frustrating than it needed to be. Once inside, the ambiance was actually quite quaint and charming. That said, considering how much traffic this restaurant gets, I was surprised by how limited the space is. I honestly think expanding the property would make a huge difference, although I understand that may not be entirely within their control. One thing I will give them major credit for is the menu. Online, the selection makes it look somewhat limited, but once you're there, they actually have 50+ food options, so there is plenty to choose from. That was definitely a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, my entrée was disappointing. I ordered a shredded beef taco with salsa and substituted a side salad. The beef was extremely tender, but unfortunately, it was also very dry. The salad was another disappointment because the vinaigrette was honestly not good. I don't think I've ever had a vinaigrette that I actively disliked until this meal. Thankfully, my fiancé had a much better experience. He ordered an enchilada and said it was one of the top five enchiladas he's ever had, so clearly there are some standout dishes on the menu. That definitely made me curious about trying something different if I ever return. I also really enjoyed that they offer hibiscus tea. I was very happy to see it on the menu, although I personally think it would be better served on its own rather than incorporated into one of their mixed drinks. The drink itself was just okay, but the hibiscus flavor was great. Overall, I can see why this place has become an Austin staple, but I think the experience could be improved significantly by making the waitlist process much clearer online and by improving the consistency of some of the food. The menu has a lot of potential, and clearly, some dishes are excellent! Unfortunately, mine just wasn't one of them.

Instead of bread, our server brought us a basket of seasoned popcorn. The popcorn had almost like a Cajun flair, but it wasn't spicy. It reminded me of the Ground Round chain from when I was a little girl. We decided to try the corndog shrimp appetizer. I couldn't decide on an entree because everything looked so good, so I did the Parmesan chicken and my coworker did the steak salad. The shrimp arrived so quickly with four large pieces of shrimp on a stick wrapped in corn dog batter and fried to a golden brown, with a blueberry mustard dipping sauce. The shrimp were delicious and while I didn't get much of the blueberry in the mustard, I enjoyed the sweetness it provided. My Parmesan chicken was a crispy and juicy breaded chicken cutlet with a lemon cream, artichoke hearts, and what appeared to be prosciutto on top. It was served with a side of pesto couscous with grape tomatoes and cucumbers. I wish I had ordered mashed potatoes on the side, because I wanted something to soak up the lemon cream sauce, which was the highlight of the chicken. We also were served 3 mini cornbread muffins with honey butter. My coworker said the salad was just okay, and was a little on the small side. The desserts were definitely a MUST and if you visit Moonshine and don't save room for the Espresso Brownie or the Peanut Butter Pie, you're going to regret it. The brownie was so fudgey and warm and served with ice cream. It was decadent. The peanut butter pie was the biggest slab of PB pie I've ever had with a thick Oreo crust. I wish I had someone with me to share it, it was huge. Overall, if I lived in the area I would definitely be back to try other things.

They specialize in crepes. They have a handful of small tables as well as couch seating. You place your order at the counter then the staff brings it to you once it's ready. I ordered my go-to drink, an oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon as well as their Lox n' found croiffin. The latte was great. The Lox n' found croiffin comes with a toasted croissant roll, smoked salmon, ricotta, avocado, arugula, capers, pickled onions and dill. I added an egg for an additional charge of $2. This was a beautiful and tasty sandwich! It was very filling, too. I highly recommend checking out this unique spot!

It's a small space, with only around eight tables and a tiny kitchen behind the counter. It's a bit hard to locate from outside. There's no big sign on the window indicating the restaurant's name, just a plastic A-frame sign outside the building's doors. When I got there, four of the eight tables were empty but the dirty dishes had not yet been cleared. It took close to 10 minutes for the tables to be bused. Because the kitchen is so small, I'd recommend going up to the counter to order as soon as you get there. I believe you can also place your order online using the QR code on the table, but I didn't try that method. I ordered the lox n found, a toasted croissant roll with smoked salmon, avocado, dill ricotta, arugula, onion, and capers. The menu says it also comes with a side of roasted potatoes, but mine didn't come with that. The sandwich was delicious and filling, so I definitely didn't need them, but I do feel like I didn't get what I paid for.

Mañana is located at the South Congress Hotel has coffee + tea, bakeshop and grab + go offerings (primarily water, kombucha, paletas and juices). Of course I was there for a latte spiked with black sesame vanilla (their most popular latte) according to my barista, which I paired with an almond bear claw. This was not your typical bear claw as it was not eye-squinting sweet but bursting with almond flavoring primarily in the center. It was almost like a crescendo in a symphony when you got to the center of the bear claw. My latte was flavorful in a subtle way with the sesame vanilla permeating throughout the latte. It is important to note that they make their own pastries and tacos each day. The pastries are a bit pricey costing more than my latte. The coffee shop has floor to ceiling windows on two sides with one of the windows opening into a courtyard with additional seating. The beautifully titled coffee bar immediately grabs your attention. In addition, service was quick and efficient. I was in and out the coffee shop within 10 minutes. I parked right in front of the coffee shop as it was early before the meters started to tick.
