An overdue review by a couple of months but we were at the Gilbert Farmer's Market and there were several food trucks offering food so we decided to try Biscuit Freaks. Their menu includes lots of options including vegetarian ones, which made the wife happy. They also offer both savory and sweet biscuit choices. I ordered the Freaky Sandwich which was scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese, and hashbrowns between a scratch made biscuit. I asked for the gravy on the side because I'm not a gravy fan. I also pulled the bacon off the sandwich because again, I love bacon but it has to be super crispy or else I can't deal with it. The overall sandwich was "ok". I liked the biscuit, albeit a tad dry but nice buttery flavor. Egg was overcooked for my liking and overall it was an ok sandwich. The gravy I tasted but it was thick and way too gooey which is exactly why I had it on the side...not my cup of tea. Wife ordered the Veggie Fuego, which had a green chili biscuit that was topped with soyrizo, eggs, tomato, jalapeno, cheese, a veggie gravy with a drizzle of sour cream. Yum yum yum! Tried this food truck for breakfast this morning. So let me preface this review with the understanding that I am not a biscuits and gravy fan. I tried them once a while ago and I really disliked them. Now, Biscuit Freaks had excellent reviews so I decided to give them a shot. I ordered the Fajita Biscuits which comes with biscuits smothered with a sausage gravy, topped with bell peppers, onions and carne asada. There is also some hash browns underneath the biscuits and the whole dish is drizzled with a sour cream sauce. The gravy is SO SO GOOD! Great flavor for a hearty meal. The fajitas went well with the gravy and the biscuits were delicious. I knocked off one star because I felt like there wasn't enough carne asada. Ladies, claim your Yelp page so you can bring in more business! LOL! This food truck came to my work for Food Truck Friday and honestly, I was skeptical at first, but I gave it a go! I had the Nacho Freak. When I woke up in the morning I did not think I would be eating biscuit nachos for lunch haha. They were pretty good! The biscuits had an amazing taste and they were doused in nacho cheese. Heaven already! Then topped with carne asada, jalapenos, and chipotle sour cream. This combination was amazing! The only reason I did not give these wonderful ladies 5 stars was because I was not a fan of their potatoes. The potatoes were on the bottom underneath the biscuits and they really had no taste to them. Once all the toppings were gone it was kind of just meh. I also wish their carne asada pieces were bigger or they would have added more. Other than that I wouldn't mind trying another dish from them. Found this food truck at the Gilbert Farmers Market. I was craving for some filling comfort food! I got the Hot Freak, which had a hot link sausage and a bed of hash browns (a surprise for me). I like spicy food but I didn't really taste much spicy heat from the hatch chilies biscuit nor from the hot link. The hash browns was burnt/charred so the potatoe flavor (yum starches!) was a bit lost. The sausage gravy brought everything together - nice black pepper and sausage bits! Overall the food was satisfying and I would try the other menu items next time! read more

Went to the Tempe Town Lake boat parade tonight... had to have something to eat so we headed to the food trucks... saw the Biscuit Freaks truck and decided to give them a try.
