This place was in my radar for while ever since it start showing up in yelp searches. Recently picked up Biriyanis from here - Lamb and Natukodi Biriyanis. To be fair, they were good. Adequate quantity, taste good and spice level was decent I would say. Asked for a mild/medium Lamb, but what we got was a little spicy. While it tasted good, there was too much oil in the Biriyanis. Meat was not proportional to rice as well. Lamb biriyani was just Lamb curry + rice - even they packed it that way. The curry was delicious though. I placed the yelp ordered, showed around 25 mins for pick up. The food was ready when I arrived. Pick up was smooth, social distancing enforced and they need customers to wear mask as well. We had ordered chicken masakali, goat ghee roast biryani, gongura chicken, double ka meetha for our birthday event. Biryani was deliciously spicy, great flavor, goat was soft and well cooked. Chicken masakali tasted quite good, excellently cooked, tender and enjoyed thoroughly. Gongura chicken had the right taste, mix of sour and spice, nicely done. Double ka meetha is mouthwatering. I'm a butter chicken fiend. I've tried almost all of the butter chickens in the area over the last couple years, in search of the best one. This review is strictly for the butter chicken, garlic naan, and chicken lollipops, since it was my first experience here and splurged. TL;DR Overall, not bad at all. 3.5 stars, but I'll give them 4 since the food was super piping hot and fresh even after having been doordashed to me. Butter Chicken - Very decent! Compared to others in the in the area I'd say this one is midpack. It had a light-medium creamy consistency without falling into the usual pitfalls of being too oily or too watery. There was a good amount of subtle, but not challenging spice, unless your heat tolerance is very low, and the flavor was overall pretty good and rich - pleasant enough for me to finish it. The quantity of the chicken was good and it was reasonably tender and flavored well, but nothing spectacular. My only gripes with the dish were that some pieces of chicken were a little burned, the curry itself was too salty for my liking, and that the general flavor of the curry seemed a little "cheesy", like it's liquified cheddar. The main flavors you get from it are more from the creaminess and chiles rather than different delicate spices and sweetness, of which there was none. It was pretty good though, I'd say it's worth trying, but for me it didn't leave me with much of a "gotta have it again tomorrow" factor. In a pinch, it hit the spot just fine though. I'd say it's the very definition of 3.5/5. The garlic naan was great. Great flavor and prepared perfectly. I do wish it were a hair thicker, but that's if I'm really splitting hairs. It was excellent. 5/5 Chicken lollipops - these were different than others I've tried at other restaurants. I've always know this dish to be full size drumsticks with the bottoms cut for presentation, fried, and dry rubbed. The ones here were instead mini drumsticks with very thick breading. Despite being different than I'm used to, they were enjoyable. Well flavored breading, very very tender, spicy, and came with a mint chutney that was creamy and fragrant. Good quantity as well. 4.5/5. Honestly, for a restaurant with an emphasis on biryani, their non biryani dishes were much better than I expected, well priced, and ultra fresh. While not my favorite butter chicken, the overall experience here left me satisfied and I'd recommend anyone give this place a shot and try their favorite dish here. Firstly 5* for hospitality!! This place recently opened and we've been waiting to try and have tried their food a couple of times now.. They offered a free drink for an honest review!! Junnu(1*) I never tried junnu in my life and they had it so I thought let's give it a shot.. It's good that they added less sugar but it was really less and there was no milk taste, even hubby and kids didn't like it as it didn't seem like close to real junnu is what hubby said. Gobi(3*) it's was way more sweeter than it should be, also I would reduce spice and oil level..I like it drier than they made. But my husband really liked it, so it's a personal preference! Egg biryani(5*) their masala is so satisfying and also the spice level is good for kids to try. There is nothing they need to change and I would highly recommend my friends to try their awesome biryani. Note: the shawarma they gave is too watery and of less flavor, not a big problem for me. Have ordered a few times for take out including Biryanis and Butter chicken. Out of 4 times we ordered 3 has been unpalatable. The recent one being burnt chicken pieces in Butter Chicken with flavorless gravy. The chicken biryani we once ordered had white rice, no boiled egg and 5 small chicken pieces. Newly Open in Fremont wanted to give it a try. Heard a lot about them when they had an Buy one get one free offer. To all the hype it didn't disappoint complementary Tea (Chai) is a must try. I loved the Chai no body should leave the shop without trying it out. Coming to biryani lots of competition in and around Fremont the best thing I liked was the cost 21$ for a family pack including appetizers and desert included not a bad deal. Recently we took 4 plates of mutton biryani from a Durga Puja at Newark. There is HARDLY one piece of mutton on each plate. Plates are full of potato. They tried to sell the mutton biryani at the Durga Puja, took the advantage of the premise. I checked couple of other friends and their experience also the same. Very BAD food and service.
