I ordered my food to go and once I opened the the bag I was disappointed at the portion of rice. Food was very well cooked, the only problem was that the rice portion was very minimal. The amount of entree ratio to the amount of rice ratio did not make sense. I went back in and asked for more rice and was told it would be an extra $3. I already spent well over $30 and was not about to spend more. I left back out and needless to say when I ate my meal I ran out of rice. Once I arrived home I cooked my own rice to finish the rest of the my meal. Owners if you see this please don't be selfish with rice it's the cheaper thing you can buy. read more

This is gonna be a long one, so PLEASE READ. A large amount of these good reviews are because they offer free dessert (Gulab Jamun) for a good review. We came and were incredibly excited, ordering all the most delicious food. And it delivered in terms of taste, but they forgot our second order of samosas, forgot our water (we had to ask) and continued to forget us throughout the experience. I received my food first, and then my cousin quickly after, and then my dad, and my aunt waited maybe 10 minutes, but my sister had to wait around half an hour after all of us were done, and then received cold rice. We had to talk to a manager to get warm rice, and then were charged ridiculous prices for a sad, sad meal. I really wanted to love this place, but it delivered less than nothing. We got the paneer saag, butter chicken, and garlic naan. It was on par/maybe not quite as good as nearby places. The two of us finished all of the chicken in the butter chicken really quickly and were left with a lot of sauce but no more meat. The flavors were good and we both enjoyed the meal. Prices are reasonable. Probably will come again or order to try the biryani (they were all out of all biryani by the time we got in around 6-6:30pm on a Sunday). Being a fan of biryani, I always crave for good biryani. Despite NJ having a reputation of Indian capital of USA, I did not find decent biryani (exception - biryani pot, jersey city is close to good). I worked in PA for good 6 months and then I found out great restaurant Biryani city near to my place (Norristown one). So when I was here in Delaware and found that it belongs to the same chain, could not resist and drag my friends here. They curse me now for this biryani obsession and now anytime they can abandon me for this. It was 2:30 PM and most of the restaurants give you deserted look but nope, not here. It was full and waiting time was good 30 minutes. I was here only for good mutton biryani (and my friends were here for me. Poor they), So I ordered 2 mutton biryani, 1 chicken biryani, and chicken chili beforehand so that I get my food as soon I get my table. But nope, I got the table but not food. Still, we waited 20 minutes after getting the table. Nevertheless, food came, I have asked for spicy mutton biryani, and god was it spicy? Hell yes... My wife could not eat even 1 spoon, well good for me, now I can eat whole biryani myself. :P Mutton biryani - I loved it. Pieces were little hard and it could be more soft and juicy but still, I was eating good biryani after ages so who cares. Chicken biryani was also good and so was appetizer chicken chili. The portion was a bit less though. Normally one plate is enough for me, but not here. We had mango lassi and it was also good, unlike another restaurant where they serve some mixed juice in name of mango lassi. Overall food was great, but as usual, like 90% Indian (Telugu folks) restaurant, it was too running by some family/friends and understaffed. In short, service was a bit late, for water, I waited 10 minutes. The ambiance was okay, I was here for biryani, not for ambiance. :P 4/5 star. 1 is for service I guess read more

Definitely more of a takeout place even though they have a decent sized dining hall. There are only 2 people handling all of the to go orders, answering the phones and doing the all of the serving....This means the service is very slow. Furthermore, every time I've been here, I have had underwhelming service. We were never welcomed even though we were repeat customers. We were never given any explanation about the menu. We got chicken tika masala and chicken curry with Naan. The entrees were served piping hot and had a large amount of protein which was a plus....although they do not give enough rice on the side to match. The chicken Tika masala has been consistently very good; very flavorful. The curry chicken however, tasted nothing like any curry chicken I've ever had; it had an abnormally heavy creamy base. It tasted fine spice wise, but just not like the curry chicken I'm used to; more like chicken korma and it was just too heavy for my liking. The Naan was fresh baked, and you get a decent sized serving for the price. Overall, the experience was just ok. Service is lacking and the food, while decent, isn't good enough to justify us returning any time soon. read more
