We went for dinner and hadn't realized it was a buffet so that was win #1. I'm a huge fan of getting to try many small tastes so this was a perfect way to sample everything. Instead of Naan we had Dosa (thin crepe) , Vadas (think fried lentil donut) and Uttapaam (like a scallion pancake but better!) No Yogurt based dishes and you won't miss them; the spicy, fragrant, aromatic flavor of every dish is bursting with each bite. I wasn't familiar with any of the dishes so I took a little taste of each and went back for seconds for almost everything. If you are on the hunt for a new spot to get you *slightly* out of your comfort zone, this is it. Pro Tip: the Peanut Chutney is spicy and pairs perfectly with everything you'll try!

The server asked if we wanted to order from the menu or the lunch buffet. I had no idea what was being served at the lunch buffet, but I knew for sure I wanted to taste the curry goat. The curry goat as an entree was $19.99, and the lunch buffet was $17.99. The server suggested that my husband and I try the buffet so we could taste everything, and that we order from the menu next time I visit. I'm so happy she suggested that. The menu itself was big and it had so many things to chose from . Now lets talk about this lunch buffet, but before I do that, let me share that, I shared with the server that I didn't want to go look at the buffet options because I didn't want to look at the food and others get the wrong idea, so she took the liberty of walking me to the buffet and showing me each item, detailing what it was and the flavor it encompassed, I can't express how much I appreciate her doing that. The buffet menu had so many great options, including chicken masala, curry goat, and so much more. The curry goat was my favorite, the meat was so tender and the flavors were infused perfectly. The rice, the noodles and every single item that I tasted, was absolutely delicious! The service was awesome, our server was attentive, courteous and very pleasant. The restaurant was well-kept and tidy.

The Mint Room in Bel Air is an absolute gem and easily home to one of the best Indian lunch buffets in Maryland. I have also been to their Hunt Valley location and both consistently deliver an outstanding experience. I visited on a Saturday afternoon for their lunch buffet which runs from 11am to 3pm and left beyond satisfied. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and conveniently located in a shopping plaza, making it easy to access with plenty of parking. Even though the buffet was decently packed when we arrived around noon, we were seated immediately. The buffet spread is impressively expansive, with 15 plus dishes available at any given time. Everything is refreshed frequently, so the food is always hot and inviting. It is the kind of buffet where you can actually sample everything in one visit without feeling rushed or disappointed by empty trays. Highlights for me included the fish curry, goat curry, biryani chicken, and the tikka style mushrooms, which were addictive. The spice level across the board leans mild to medium, making it approachable for all palates and appropriate for all ages, while still delivering plenty of flavor. It strikes a perfect balance between authenticity and accessibility. Service was also excellent. Each table is greeted with a carafe of mint infused water, which is a thoughtful and refreshing touch that sets the tone right away. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. At $20 per person, this may be the best dining deal in all of Bel Air. Between the quality, variety, and service, The Mint Room is an easy recommendation and a spot I will happily return to again and again.

Extremely disappointing experience with Everest/Quteer…read more I placed a large catering order with Everest/Quteer and was shocked when they cancelled the order after accepting it. What made the situation even worse was the way I was treated when I contacted them about it. Instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, the response was rude, confrontational, and, in my experience, threatening. When you place a substantial catering order, you expect the restaurant to honor the commitment--or at the very least communicate professionally if there is a problem. Cancelling a large order and then treating the customer disrespectfully when they ask for an explanation is simply unacceptable. The way this was handled left me feeling that my business and my time were not respected. I would strongly encourage anyone considering a large catering order to think carefully before relying on Everest/Quteer for an important event. The food may be one thing, but customer service and professionalism matter, especially when customers are trusting a restaurant with a significant order. This experience was extremely disappointing and has completely changed my view of the business.
