This is in a strip mall type area so there was a parking lot with lots of parking available. The space was pleasant and very clean. They had music playing but it wasn't too loud, so it made it easy to converse. We ordered the spinach pakora, chicken 65, and chilli chicken. The flavors were great. The chicken 66 and chilli chicken had similar profiles. The spice level for medium and spicy were the expected spice levels. I can handle slice and so thought the spicy was def. spicy. This was my first time at Curry and Spice and they did not disappoint. There's a cool vibe with nice aesthetic and music. This would be a great place for date night or dinner with friends. For appetizers we started with Chilli Chicken, Chicken 65 and Veg. Pakora. The Chilli was my favorite out of the chicken dishes. I liked that we were able to choose the spice level. One dish we selected medium spice and the other was hot. Both were really flavorful. I would make sure you really can handle spice before ordering a higher level. The Veg. Pakora was just ok, because the chicken stole the show. For an entree we shared the Tandoor Pomfret Fish. It's definitely big enough to share. The flavor profile was delicious! I loved the grilled peppers and onions. I ordered the Butter Chicken to go for my husband. I asked for mild spice level. He throughly enjoyed it. I was also able to taste a bit, and was glad to see even the mild spice still had a bit of quick to it. I will definitely return . read more

We felt very welcomed walking into this brightly decorated restaurant it had a very pleasant atmosphere The employees were very professional and kind throughout our meal. I thought it was a little pricey for what we received. The food was just OK. The Tikka Masala with chicken was too sweet. The Papri Chaat did not have much flavor. The Aloo Gobi was drenched in peas more than anything else. The manager was very pleasant when checking in at our table, but did not inquire about us having the majority of our food left at the end of our meal. Went to this place when I was visiting my friend in Middletown. The food is awesome! We ordered a bunch of dishes - Samosas, Gobi Manchurian, Butter Chicken and Paneer Kalimirch. The orange ice cream dessert was super yummy, I have not seen this way of presentation . The ice cream was inside the orange. Overall the presentation of all the dishes were amazing and everything tasted good. I will definitely come here again when I visit my friends. read more

walked in and i smelled the SPICE, my nose was SNIFFING AROUND, the atmosphere reminded me of home, thought my mom was here for a second. Keema samosas were taking me to flavor town, india. Once my tandoori chicken came out it was sizzling like a geyser, they even did a magic trick and made all my food disappear into my stomach, don't know how it got there. I splooged. Tried my friends chicken tikka and it was SO CREAMYLICIOIUS, the way it slowly went down my throat made me feel like i was taking the cure to a sore throat, so amazing. The owners accommodated our last minute large party last week without notice unlike the other Indian restaurant in middletown. The service was fantastic. Everyone was able to order their own dish to the spice level of their liking. When we tried to make a reservation at the other Indian restaurant, he would only do 2 selections and we would have to pay catering pricing. The food arrived hot, delicious, and staff couldn't have more accommodating. To celebrate Holiday, they even threw in free dessert which was also delicious. I highly recommend them for a luncheon or just a small dinner or lunch party as well. read more

Not having experience with Indian food our visit to Curry and Spice in Middletown Delaware was memorable. The service provided by Ferris and Vancut was incredible. The cocktails are first class. We had a really great experience here. Our server Maya went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our food and she was very knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were excellent too. She recommended the fried cauliflower (I forget the exact name of it) but it was the best fried cauliflower that I've ever had and I've had it at at least 10 different places so far. read more

The service at this place is terrible ! The posted hours on google do not match the hours listed on the store hours . I have made over 5 attempts to try this restaurant and each time it has been closed! It seems they only work when they feel like it at this location and that's very lousy for them to be the only restaurant on the block. Here's what annoys me- I order Hakka noddles and instead get friend rice. When I call and say "hey you got me a wrong order", the guy in the phone goes "what am I supposed to do with the rice. I Highly recommend the spinach and veggie pakoras, chickpeas (channa) curry (chole), Dahl and rice, chicken biryanI to ease your way into these highly flavorful, spicy dishes. I always ask for the 'mild' level of spiciness and leave off the ginger. Plenty of leftovers for more meals at home. Prices are very affordable- amazingly so. I like to go at 3pm for masala chai (tea) and afternoon snacks like samosas. I can order take out for my dinner. I've met the owner who works on weekends and she is very anxious to provide a tasty, fresh, authentic Indian/ Pakistani menu so you will return many times like me! Plenty of vegetarian choices. Okay, so the drinks are fantastic & the food is delicious. I'm a gluten-free vegetarian & they had a decent amount to choose from, w/ weeks away from having a designated "gluten-free" area within their kitchen, so more to come. :) The ONLY drawback is the service side of things. They're probably still working out kinks, but husbbys main course came before our appetizer, which arrived 10 minutes later, and my main dish was at least twenty minutes after that, after hubby done eating. We made a reservation online on a Tuesday because all online sources indicated that the restaurant was open. The reservation was confirmed as well. After driving 30 minutes to the restaurant we found that it was closed and no one was inside. I understand that many restaurants are not open every day, but if your website and your Google profile state that you are open and I am able to make an online reservation, then why wouldn't I expect you to be open? I live in the Bay Area CA (one of the most renowned areas for Indian food) and was visiting my brother in DE. This place's food tasted better than any Indian food I've had in San Jose! We ordered around 10 different dishes (including appetizers, main dishes, naan, mango lassi, dessert). Everything was super delicious, well crafted, tasty.
