Tried Sangam Indian Restaurant for the first time and WOWWWW. It instantly made my list of favorite Indian restaurants. Started with the Samosa Chaat and honestly... it may be my favorite Samosa Chaat ever. The portion was super generous, the flavors were incredible, and best of all, it wasn't drowning in yogurt like so many places tend to do. Absolute perfection. For entrées, I ordered the Chana Masala (medium spice) and the Dal Tadka (medium). Both were packed with flavor, perfectly spiced, rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. The Chana Masala had the perfect kick, and the Dal Tadka was truly fantastic. And the garlic naan? Chef's kiss. Fresh, soft, flavorful, and perfectly made. Beautiful space and exceptional service by Nabil and Prince! Everything was delicious, satisfying, and so filling. Smh I travel around to different establishments to specifically eat at Indian restaurants because that's my favorite cuisine. So I know a thing or two about flavor and etc. . With that being said I placed an order for the paneer street rice, payasam, and lentil soup going SOLEY OFF what the picture is showing how they prepare it and what it would look like . Smh to my shock I looked in the bag and before I paid I asked them why does the food look like this it's nothing like the picture ESPECIALLY the payasam . He's like everything is at the bottom . I stated are you sure because it's not suppose to be fully milk smh he assured me when I mix it up it won't. HE LIED! The rice was meh 3/10 mostly oily dull not fresh veggies more of left over strands , the payasam is nothing but milk with sugar and 3 raisins and one nut smh pathetic 0/10 and lastly the lentil soup why is it orangey yellow smh where they do that at????! I'm not even going to attempt to eat THAT! 0/10 for looks alone! Sorry I won't be going back . Sangam was an absolute delight! Everything tastes and feels homecooked, with generous portions and reasonable prices. My coworker and I had the garlic naan, garlic chili naan, butter chicken, and shahi paneer. Each and every dish was delicious and the meals came served with a huge helping of rice on the side. The staff was super friendly, and we've already committed to stopping in again next week. Highly recommend this place for great, local Indian cuisine! read more

Love finding a good Indian restaurant. Stopped in for lunch during the week. They're open until 2:30 for lunch and open back up at 5pm for dinner. The restaurant has plenty of seating with a separate bar area. They have a wide range of items on their menu that are reasonably priced. I grabbed the chettinad chicken soup as a starter and the saag/palak with chicken. Both dishes were filled with flavor and well prepared. A very authentic experience. Service was a bit spotty, didn't have a dedicated server. Seemed as though the manager was having to help out with tables. Not a huge deal, just an observation. read more

This place opened with very little fanfare or press coverage and I did not even realize the green turtle was gone until Sangam's colorful new sign went up last week They were understaffed so service was extremely slow. Ambience was good, place inside was pretty huge, bar and sitting clearly separated. Quiet and no echoing. Plenty of tables and kept clean. Went on a Sat afternoon and place was decently occupied. weekend veg thali tasted amazing and the veg dum biryani was good as well. Portions seemed big on par for the price. Had my first visit to Sangam tonight with some friends, who had eaten here before. Because there were several of us we shared a wide variety of dishes. Loved all the food! Large portions, great flavor, and the service was excellent. I have mostly been having Indian take-out lately so it was nice to sit in an attractive setting with hot, fresh food instead of eating out of styrofoam. Will be back for sure!! read more

First time visiting Sangam because we had heard great things, and the food did not disappoint- best Indian food we've had in a long time, and best in the area for sure. Our server Monsoor was very attentive. Samosas were amazing and main dishes were generous portions with wonderful flavors. Will definitely go back! My only suggestion is regarding the ambiance- the lights are VERY bright, could be dimmed just a little. Lots of screens in bar area, but enjoyed seeing Bollywood scenes on one. read more

However, another women who ordered Rava masala dosa she ate 2/3 of it and she got dizzy. She said her head was spinning and eventually she threw up in the bathroom. We thought, it may be she was sick. I ordered goat Biryani for my son as a takeout for him in the evening. The waiter said they will charge 20% gratuity ($4) even for takeout as you are party of 6. We also ordered later chinese chicken which was not good. Anyway, the women felt little better after throwing up. My wife packed the Rava masala dosa for home. In the evening my wife tried Rava masala dosa and she felt the same as other women with dizziness and she threw up. The dizziness did not went away late in the night. My wife called next morning to Sangam and they said there was nothing wrong with Rava masala dosa and they served to more than 50 people on Sunday. We will never go back. The Dosa and food is much healthy and delicious at Tikka Masala with 50% less price. We will never visit Sangam restaurant. I think they should close and change it to Sang-band. We got takeout from Sangam so I can't comment on service or ambiance, but everything else was delicious and left us very satisfied. The portions and flavors of the tikka masala and Rogan Josh were very generous, though I personally prefer the North Indian style of tikka masala over this South Indian version, which is sweeter. The most interesting dish we had was the curry leaf chicken, which I've never had before. The light and subtle fragrance of the curry leaf and the deep flavors of the chicken marinade went really well together. Feeling very lucky to live close to this great place! read more

We ordered the chicken tikka, which was $23--not an unreasonable price if the quality matched, but it didn't. Our server recommended the curry leaf chicken appetizer which was fantastic, super flavorful and the perfect amount of spice. For entree's, we had the saag paneer and the stuffed eggplant curry. The saag paneer was the highlight for me but both were incredibly flavorful and delicious, and the garlic naan was perfect with everything. Just left this restaurant emergently with my daughter after she developed an anaphylactic reaction to a dish. We notified our server from the start that she had a peanut and tree nut allergy. We checked their menu and reconfirmed with the server that the items that we had ordered were nut free. Although, the Butter Paneer Masala was not supposed to have any nuts in it, my daughter immediately developed signs of anaphylaxis (facial edema, throat tightness, etc) as soon as she consumed this item. Fortunately, I was able to get her home and administer the appropriate therapy to counter this reaction. I called the restaurant and reiterated to the manager the need to make sure that there's no potential for cross contamination in their kitchen. Went there with a group of about ten coworkers for lunch. Service was amazingly quick. We got a number of appetizers and dishes and shared them. They did a nice job making a few dishes non spicy for the couple of folks who couldn't handle spicy food. For us Desis, the food was excellent as well. I work outside haven't eaten all day but I drove back anyways not because I expected some sort of accommodation but I was told there would be. Great menu. Lots of veggie and non-veggie selection. We shared the chaat samosa for starters, which was a large. A delicious meld of flavors and textures - crunchy, smooth, creamy, with pieces of samosas throughout. Highly recommended. For main, I had veg kuruma. My partner had lamb vindaloo. We both ordered our dishes medium spicy and the spice level was perfect. A bite of heat but all the other aromatic herbs and spices were able to shine through. Both were served with basmati rice, and we shared a butter naan, which was light and fluffy and the perfect foil for scooping up both main dishes. Of special note was the curry leaf martini. What treat for the eyes and the tastebuds! Served up freshly shaken at the table. The most delightful color and the curry leaf aroma was infused throughout the drink. This has been mentioned previously I believe, but you need a proper wine menu. Printed. Saying you carry varietals like Cabernet or Chardonnay, doesn't help a customer. You need to tell your patrons the exact wine you carry. Brand names and price per glass/bottle. Also, it is entirely too bright throughout the restaurant. My girlfriend and I stopped in for dinner, and sat at the bar. The bartender was actually the owner. I can't say it enough times how terrific the service was. He waited on us like you would expect at a fine dining establishment. My girl had a Cosmo to start off with. I was drinking the chilled filtered water that they serve. She sad her drink was perfect, and the water was refreshing. We ordered samosas to start of with. It was delicious, with just the right amount of spice. Then we ordered curry goat, and naan. Goat was deliciously seasoned. But had a little bit too much bone for my liking. The naan was exactly what it should be, perfect. She ordered another drink, a curry leaf martini. It was beautiful, she liked it as much as the Cosmo. Then I ordered the eggplant curry it had great flavor, but could have used a bit more eggplant. Before we left the owner introduce us to the chef, and sent us on our way with a bag of the butterfly pea flower that he uses to make the curry leaf martini. It seems kind of weird sitting at the old green turtle, but the dining room looks pretty nice, with white linens,and servers in black and white. Food is great. Bartender made us two cocktails and they were both great as well. Definitely worth a try.

The resturant was clean and the staff were eager to please. White linen table clothes and chilled water are a very nice touch and shows a lot of potential. I know this resturant just opened but serving a customer a dish of chicken bones with a very few scraps of meat is not very palatable. There is no excuse for parsemony if you are trying to establish a customer base. However, there is hope since the food arrived quickly and the other dishes that make up the Thali lunch were well spiced with a good variety. I will try in a few months to see if this has improved. I hope my critique helps to drive a positive change since we need more locally owned restaurants. read more
