Very tasty Indian food. I feel they are a little overpriced compared to comparable Indian food restaurants in the area.

We had been to Narberth once 2 years ago to walk and explore but didn't see this restaurant on that trip. Tried it last night, 8/7/26, for the first time and it checks so many boxes. First off, they were super attentative and polite when we called to make our reservation and our call from the car to inform of a traffic delay. The place is clean, except unfortunately since they do a lot of take out as we had observed, lots a flies get in and buzz around (exterminated 4 at our table during the course of our dining experience.) But don't let that dissuade you. They have a large menu, and customize levels to fit eveyone's taste. When trying new Indian restaurants we usually start off with basic dishes to get a feel from their cooking style. We shared two dishes: llamb rogan jost medium spice and chicken tikka masala aslo medium spice and an order of garlic naan (well 2 orders as we needed more and took some home... it was that good). Both dishes were exactly as expected and both for the most part were tender and moist. Lamb can sometimes be chewy. We loved our choices and dunked away into the sauces with the naan. Street meter parking and they are BYOB. We have booked marked Srinagar for a future pre-concert dinner in the area of the Mann Pavilon. See my food photos

Rather than gobi manchurian (consistently wonderful here) we opened with vegetable samosas. Served with condiments, the pastries are excellent, the way samosas should be. Last time I noticed a family eating what looked like spaghetti. I'd never seen pasta in an Indian restaurant, so of course I inquired. They assured me that the dish -- hakka noodles -- was worth trying. So we did, with shrimp, ordered medium on the spice scale. I'm adding this to my repertoire! I suggested that T choose a second entree, hoping he'd go with my tandoor favorite, chicken tikka. Nope, chicken korma. This is where Srinagar loses half a point. The sauce is excellent. It always is. But the cubes of chicken were dry. (Tikka -- NOT masala -- never is.) 6:00 on Friday, prime time for dinner, people straggled in. While they take reservations, you likely don't need them. Where they make their money is with takeout. A steady stream of customers picking up their called-in orders. I always enjoy Srinagar. Good prices, nothing fancy, responsive service AND (what I like in Philadelphia) BYOB.

The Mint Room in Bel Air is an absolute gem and easily home to one of the best Indian lunch buffets in Maryland. I have also been to their Hunt Valley location and both consistently deliver an outstanding experience. I visited on a Saturday afternoon for their lunch buffet which runs from 11am to 3pm and left beyond satisfied. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and conveniently located in a shopping plaza, making it easy to access with plenty of parking. Even though the buffet was decently packed when we arrived around noon, we were seated immediately. The buffet spread is impressively expansive, with 15 plus dishes available at any given time. Everything is refreshed frequently, so the food is always hot and inviting. It is the kind of buffet where you can actually sample everything in one visit without feeling rushed or disappointed by empty trays. Highlights for me included the fish curry, goat curry, biryani chicken, and the tikka style mushrooms, which were addictive. The spice level across the board leans mild to medium, making it approachable for all palates and appropriate for all ages, while still delivering plenty of flavor. It strikes a perfect balance between authenticity and accessibility. Service was also excellent. Each table is greeted with a carafe of mint infused water, which is a thoughtful and refreshing touch that sets the tone right away. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. At $20 per person, this may be the best dining deal in all of Bel Air. Between the quality, variety, and service, The Mint Room is an easy recommendation and a spot I will happily return to again and again.

I also love that this location offers a carafe of water so you don't bae to flag down wait staff every time. My favorite was the mushroom in spicy sauce and the biryani chicken. As always the gulab was so tasty! Sweet and light! The restaurant offers both bar seating and table tops including some more options for larger parties so ideal for all. They also have a parking lot so no need to worry about it.

The food on my first visit shortly after it opened was wonderful. Against all restaurant odds, it has gotten better with each subsequent visit as winter turned to spring. Some of the choices created by the creative, friendly chef, Ashok----who by the way stopped at our table and answered questions----are: ---A Shrimp appetizer on top of the poori---Something new to me but something I will want again. ----Tender, well-seasoned lamb chops, unequaled in quality and flavor, and better than any I have ever had. ----Aloo Tikki Chaat---- if chat interests you. The restaurant is very convenient and accessible to Northwest Philadelphia---Chestnut Hill Mount Airy ---and the near suburbs. Buut the restaurant is well worth a longer trip if you are not nearby. The staff is friendly without being intrusive. They know just when to be there for you and when not to be. The check will not break the bank.
