The ambiance is that of a small taco shop with limited parking. The service is quick and friendly, in both Spanish and English. Finally and most importantly, the food was the best birria tacos I've ever had, which left me wanting to come back for more. I got the regular Tacos Suaves, the Mulitas, and the best part, the Quesatacos with dipping sauce (consume). It may not be in the best area, but they serve the best birria you'll ever have. The Quesataco is a shredded beef taco with a fried crispy outside, melting the cheese inside. The Mulita is similar to the quesataco but is sandwiched between two crispy corn tortilla. Finally the tacos suaves are just that, soft tacos. No matter what you get you won't be disappointed. That's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating. read more

Birria Mi Rancho - Quesabirria and jamaica - Mexican Near Me - Oxnard, California

Maaaan, I love birria tacos. And my friends all love tacos, period, so I put together a walking taco tour for us last year, and another one this year with all new spots. There are so many outstanding taco shops in downtown Oxnard that it's easy to do! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We had a group of 25+, and they served us all fairly quickly. I ordered the quesabirria tacos because cheese makes everything better. My tacos were ready in a few minutes, and I sat down with some friends to eat them. The cheese was minimal, but the tacos were flavorful. I really enjoyed them. My usual spot is Francisco's (a short walk from Birria Mi Rancho), so I decided to put the two tacos to the test. I got birria tacos from each and ate them head to head. In a head to head, Francisco's won, but that's not to say that Birria Mi Rancho wasn't also delicious! They're both very good. I would ask for extra cheese next time, though. read more

Hands down the best birria ever! Thank you Birria Mi Rancho for the most scrumptious birria tacos ever. We enjoyed our crispy and juicy birria with cheese with all of the amazingness of cilantro, onion, lime, raddish and dip which comes along with it. Although the line was a bit long on a Sunday after church rush, the 10 minute or so wait for our to go food was absolutely worth it. Staff were warm, friendly, and happy to satisfy our birria craving needs. Muchas gracias por todos familia en Oxnard for your most delicious food and local family owned and run business keeping our communities happy with access to excellent birria! read more

Great spot in downtown Oxnard! The best birria in town. Second time trying this place. First time we ordered platters by the pound. They were almost going to close and were flexible with us to go pick up a little shortly after close time. This time went in to the restaurant for takeout. Very clean place. The customer service was outstanding and they were fast to get our order, However everything tasted so fresh. Very flavorful. Also very reasonably priced. Definitely a must try. Will visit again! read more

Absolutely delicious!! The food is probably the best of its kind that I have tried. Everything is perfectly tasty including the rice, beans, and handmade tortillas!! I'm not an expert in birria at all but this is the first time I try it and actual enjoyed it! Each bite was absolutely flavorful. The broth was on point, the birria was cooked well, the handmade tortillas enhanced the flavor. There is freshly chopped cilantro & onions along with salsa varieties available too. The staff was efficient, friendly, and welcoming! The place is small but super clean and in order. Already planning my next visit! Whoever is cooking in this joint knows exactly what they are doing! read more

Deserving of its rating. This place has some truly great birria tacos. Definitely stop in if you're in the area

Newest Birria Joint in town. Usually like to call in my order but since it was my first time I decided to come in to check out their menu. As soon as I walked in they greeted me with a smile and asked if I had any questions. They are very professional and polite. I order Tacos de Birria and a Quezabirria!! Wow!! Omg it's delicious, the best I've had. The tacos were very generous, lots of meat and they also included a side of Consomé, onion, cilantro, limes and cucumber on the side!! I learned the also have Birria de Chivo if you buy it by the LB. La Torta de Birria se miraba riquísima as it was coming out of the kitchen, I almost wanted to change my mind, but I guess I'll be coming back very soon!! I truly love this place, it's very clean, it has a small parking lot on the back, but if it's full you can park around that alley, there's plenty of parking! I can't wait to go back! read more

Had to use their parking to drop someone off to the parade and worker came out to advise I had to move (limited parking on busy days). Instead of moving I bought some food know it was going to be about 30 minutes and let me just say I'll be back and would recommend. Salsa bar was fresh - only had the verde but again not disappointed. Worker friendliness, restaurant feel/decor and food quality were all good. My final reason to return will be the Pokémon they have in their claw machine... I didn't win this but again I'll be back. read more

The birria is so good. They have goat and beef. You can't go wrong with either birria. They have different style food.

By far the best birria spot in town. My friends and I come here often after a surf or even just for a late breakfast. The place is very clean, hand made tortillas being made in the back fresh to order, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Easy 10/10. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! * I get the mulita which is basically a quesadilla, but you pull each side apart to make two quesatacos. Add cilantro, onion, lime, and their red sauce. Done. read more

The beef in the tacos is quality, succulent, tender and downright delicious, we will definitely be back, they clearly take pride in making good food. They need to add some salt to the broth and meat, otherwise the flavor was still very good. Be prepared to have that broth drip down your face, dive in shamelessly and enjoy, no judging here! read more
