Delicious and affordable burrito! I got the beef burrito and they packed the beef in. My favorite part was that the burrito came with guacamole. On top of that they gave chips and some salsas on the side. This is a very good meal for about $10. There are a few tables inside to eat and service was quick.

Guava is sweeter which I prefer in this case.
I frequently go to the truck version of Birria, which is called Birria-Landia located in Jackson Heights. I found out this one brick and mortal version at Astor Place. Awesome idea! Its food offering are: cheap, delicious, and can be mixed and matched with each other. This one expanded the offering to include tamales, empanadas, and other Perfect place for authentic birria! : )
Food/drinks: favorite tacos in the city!! El pastor and beef birria with cheese!! It's the only one I think is worth it for the price especially coming from living in SoCal Atmosphere: hole in wall with bar seating and 2 small tables Service: takes some time for food to cook but it's worth the wait!! Price: pricey (~$4-$6.50 per taco) but not compared to NY prices and for what you're getting
So great to have a halal Mexican please in the city. Extremely adorable. The food was delivered so quickly. I asked them to accommodate my dietary restrictions and they did not disappoint. Shrimp and chicken were tasty. I will be ordering again - and I will be visiting in person to check out what else is on the menu. A great addiction to the city overall !
So so good. Wow. I really want more of these tacos. Get the birria! This place is new to my neighborhood in Astoria. The decor is also cool and funky.
Really delicious birria tacos with a small space for seating inside. I got two beef tacos, as well as the beef papas with guacamole. The fries were incredibly filling and came with a generous portion of beef (they do not skimp here!). Would come again to try their tacos al pastor style, but note that's a pretty steep surcharge for that.
To find good birria in New York is a rarity on its own! I can think of only two other places I have ever found here that make and sell really good true birria and that is Birria Landia in queens and Mexica Taqueria in Shirley. And this is happily a third addition to some really good birria tacos!! The place is small and quaint in the Lower east side and the food just incredible! It's just juicy and dripping with the first bite and that's without the consommé! It's so well packed, the salsa is brilliant everything about these tacos just gel! Do yourself a favor and get warm and cozy with these perfect tacos for this cold season!
We walked in at 8:30p on a Saturday and it was empty and I had concerns as the establishment looked basic and common. 10min later, more people started flooding in and we realized, oh this is not such an understated place. My friend who took me just had tacos here a few nights back and wanted to come back so I knew there had to be something. She wasn't wrong. I ordered 2 tacos and guac to be safe and a Top. Guac and chips were homemade and fresh - including the tortilla chips appear to be fried in house. None of those chips from a bag.
I've passed this place many times over the years since living in LES, mainly because one of my favorite bakeries, Sugar Sweet Sunshine Bakery (now relocated to Grand St), was directly across the street from it. I was in the area and was craving some birria. Since my favorite birria spot in the neighborhood, Viva Birria, is temporarily closed, I noticed over the years that Birria LES always has a steady flow of customers. I decided to give this spot a try and I wasn't disappointed overall. It's a tiny spot with limited seating inside and a tabletop or two outside. I decided on the birria nachos and my order was ready at lightning speed. The birria was well seasoned and juicy. They give you a good amount of meat for the price ($10). However, the order was stuffed into a small square sized foam container but I wish it was placed into a rectangular sized one so the meat and nachos are spread out rather than a bunch of meat piled on top of nachos. I was able to go home and rectify this small issue though. I would definitely recommend this spot overall because the birria is just that good! I look forward to trying other dishes from here.
There was a bit of a wait for my food, but the wait was less than 10 minutes and wasn't too unreasonable. On a Friday evening, there was a steady flow of customers but not a lot of seating indoors. There were also some tables outside for standing. The space was a bit tight as we stood in line to order food. The Beef Birria Slider was basically like a birria taco between bread, but I wasn't mad because it hit the spot. The Beef Birria Taco was on 2 soft small tortillas, but it was flavorful and was overflowing with toppings.
My daughter took me to the pop up in Union Square Winter Market. Very busy and with good reason so we waited about 30 minutes but after the experience, I would wait 3 days to have the Texas toast Birria grilled cheese with consommé!!!! Oh my word 15/10! I have never been a grilled cheese fan but this was a flavor explosion like I have never experienced in my life! Can't wait to try everything else. Sooooo dang good!
Food was amazing , I wasn't let down at all. Very authentic and packed with amazing flavor. It wasn't busy at all, surprisingly. They service was very good, and fast. One of our tacos was messed up wrong meat and they corrected it right away. Clean spot with Mexican theme inside and out. Texas toast Birria caught me off guard , i guess they tried to mix it with American and it did not fail, 10 out of 10!
Got this doordashed and it is still sooo good. - Texas Garlic Toast with Birria, (5/5): the toast stayed perfectly crisp, and it was sooo juicy. It paired so nicely with the chili sauces. it is very heavy though, so be warned! I think one toast is enough - Chicken Taco, (4/5): also super juicy from the Birria soup and it was way lighter than the beef. A nice palette cleanser - Beef Mulitas, (4/5): tasted similar to the toast, but not as satisfying (I think the toast adds more oomph) - Consommé Con Beef Birria Dumplings, (3/5): the consommé was actually pretty good but quite oily. because these were beef, it was the same beef but in dumpling skin and it was veeeeryy heavy. couldn't eat more than 1 dumpling, but I would reuse the consommé Great late night meal, and I would 100% get this again as a cheat meal read more

The tacos were SO good, the service was super fast and the food was amazing! My partner got the empanadas and they were super fresh and crunchy. There were two small tables and a bar to sit at, it was nice to take a break and eat: I would definitely come back here ! read more

Birria LES is my new favorite restaurant in NYC. They serve halal Birria tacos and other Mexican food. We got various types of food from here, including the consomme, which was perfection, and the elote corn, which was mindblowing. This isn't a place where you can sit down and eat, but the food is very well priced and I want to come here every time I'm in NYC. read more
I love birria tacos and Birria LES doesn't disappoint. I've gotten a lot of the items on the menu but for a first timer I'd recommend the tacos with a consome for dipping. The combination of the tacos and consome makes for a really juicy, delicious taco with a lot of flavor. I'd definitely recommend people to try the other items as well, namely the tostadas and the mulitas. Overall this is a really quick service spot - order your tacos and get them in 5-10 minutes, and there are some seating options if you want to dine in. read more

AMAZING. I tried the beef birria and chicken birria with cheese and a side of consommé. The consommé was so flavorful!! Some of the best birria I've ever had I wouldn't get the chicken - stick with the beef. We got this delivered on Uber eats so can't attest to the service or ambiance but the food traveled well and was so yummy read more

This was hands down one of THEEEE best tacos that I've ever had in my life Omg soooo delicious, juicy and stuffed! I can't wait to go back! I ordered something quite similar to an elote but the corn is off of the cob. It was not as pleasant as A regular elote. Wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much Mayo so I wonget that again. The tacos though!!! If you don't mind spending the money this is a great spot! It's so hard to find a halal birria spot but this is THE ONE. The food comes out quick and there is enough seating. The only con is that each taco is 4.50-5.50. The hot Cheeto corn, beef birria fries and beef birria tacos are good choices. However, I do not recommend the consomé or chicken tacos. read more

Babyyyy it was sooo goood. I had shrimp & chicken dumplings with consume soup BOMB amazing. Plus the ginger sauce they give is a little spicy I love it so much. The birria tacos are very good as well. The tostados are crunchy and amazing. I highly recommend this place. I love that it is more then one location. They charge per taco which I like because I hate when places only sell in the order of 3 tacos at a time. Sometimes I only want 2 or sometimes I want 4 lmao read more
Ordered: Loaded Papas Birria (~$10): half beef birria & half chicken birria, cilantro, onions, crema sauce Aya's take: So unlike me to go to a taco place and order the loaded fries, but here we are! The Loaded Papas are a hefty portion for ~$10! I'm glad they let me do half beef birria and half chicken birria, but now that I've tried both - beef birria is the one to go with. The chicken birria lacked the flavor, juiciness, and seasonings that the beef birria had. The fries were crispy! I also liked the crema sauce that helped cut through the fat from the birria. Decent try but I would totally try the tacos/tostadas next time! read more

Food: Tacos and the consomé were fantastic!! The pineapple salsa was perfectly spicy and sweet!! I will say for birria tacos, it was quite expensive but I guess that's what I get for craving tacos in NYC...for reference I got two tacos with cheese with consomé and my total came out to around $20!! Absurd, LA would never do my wallet dirty like that!! Anyway, it was still really good and it curbed my craving so 10/10!! Service: There is very very little seating inside so definitely when it's busy it best to take it to go but I enjoy eating tacos on the spot while they're still hot. Our food came out fairly slow but nothing outrageous and would definitely recommend if you're in the area but don't go out of your way for it! read more

The food isn't really expensive and it's a great spot just for birria tacos. I personally think tostadas and mulitas are amazing. Mulitas are just tostadas cooked with the consume. Very worth and I will update the pics read more

Went here again (not by choice lol) and tried the nachos. They sprinkled some part-skim mozzarella cheese on there. I was really expecting proper nacho cheese and not an ant's portion of the wrong cheese in my nachos because it's called nachos and not chips with part-skim mozzarella. The chips were fried in old oil so everyone that ate it had a stomach ache afterwards. Would not recommend. I also got the Birria con Linguine which was not great because their Birria tastes weird (in a bad way), but also because they cant cook pasta either. Im going to have a violent reaction next time someone suggests eating here. read more

If you ever find yourself in the lower east side and looking for a late night snack after a night of dancing and drinking in dive bars, look no further. This was my first birria tacos experience and for someone who stays clear of red meat, I was thrilled to see that they had a chicken and shrimp birria option. There are tiny, probably about five small dainty bites/two big hungry bites per taco. But they pack a punch and are full of flavor. The place was packed and had a long line at about 1am on a late spring Saturday night and their indoor seating space is tight. They do however have like three standing tables outside on the sidewalk, which we were grateful for. The line moves fast and the orders took about 5 mins to reach us. The shrimp birria was my favorite, the beef birria and consome were a hit with my friends. I'll even go as far as to say, I don't think I can go back to eating regular tacos again. I always felt like my taco meals were always missing a little something and I think this might be it. Now, I don't know if this is the best Birria I'll ever have, but it was a great first experience. read more

I love going to the corn dog place next door, but once day I saw Birria next door and I had to try it. I haven't had Birria tacos since LA. The food is good - it's savory, good flavor. Staff is nice. I just wish there were more tables!!! It's so hard to eat birria tacos while sitting. Maybe they could also provide some wipes for hands afterwards... It's just messy. It was piping hot though, and yummy. read more
