Stopped in while I was waiting for my car in the shop down the road. I was pleasantly surprised! The interior is casual, comfortable, and expansive. I went with the grilled cheese and tomato soup which was great. A good classic that was done well. I also got a seasonal latte that was chefs kiss ‍ I will be back to try the baked goods and bread, of course.

Chicken pesto , Gouda , and tomato pizza slice and berry green salad (I think ). So good

Why do I not come here more?! I always ask myself this everytime I leave BB!! It's great! My recent visit was quite enjoyable. I had their pizza lunch special $9 for two slices of yummy pizza. I loooooved the sloss furnace sausage so bad! It has conecuh sausage on it and it was fantastic! I also had a veggie slice, it was fine but me & my tastebuds enjoyed sloss furnace sausage best. Goodness! I had water to drink and eventually a latte since I stuck around to do a little work. They also have a few wines and beers to enjoy. The back section I was sitting in was a little cold but the main seating area is really warm & comfortable. I do wish they had more electrical plugs in the main seating area for those that are working on a laptop. Parking during the week WILL be a problem. Just telling you! I eventually found a free 2 hour spot. Be patient if plan to visit during the week but it's definitely worth circling the block a few times.

Pizza pie for the win today! Margherita is unbelievably delicious with huge slices of tomato, flavorful sauce, just the right amount of cheese and basil. Fancy pork belly with pineapple pizza was also tasty (but I mainly eat veggies). They took my order right away and brought it out quickly. It was nice and quiet and cool. Soft music playing. OH. AND. They now accept GLASS recycling!

Stopped by here with some friends for some Lunch. What a treat!! I usually stop by and grab breads, but their lunch is worth grabbing. Their sandwiches and pizzas are delish!! They usually have different pizzas each day. So check their website menu to check the specials. My phone died and I couldn't grab a menu pic. My favorite is the pesto chicken pizza. I also love the Alabama Bird sandwich. Additionally, they have good tomato soup and grilled cheese. They also serve breakfast and their pepper Parmesan bread is always a hit. Don't sleep on the pastries and the cappuccinos, as they are both great! Stop there for a nice treat. You won't be disappointed.

The menu and board including sides

We have been several times in the past and it was a good place Today the Manager tried to charge us for the sides that were clearly included in the menu and in the board. It was not any sign or indication in contrary. He did not wanted to honor the sign.

I see many local restaurants and coffee shops carry bread and other baked goods from bhm Breadworks but I'd never been to their actual establishment. It's spacious with ample indoor and outdoor seating, although parking can sometimes pose an annoyance. I was actually surprised by the limited number of fresh baked goods they had available--only about 5 or 6 choices, but maybe that's because I envisioned a spread. They did have the same number of loaves to purchase and I went around lunchtime so maybe many of the items were already gone. I opted to have lunch, so I ordered the Ham and Gruyere sandwich (added onions of course) and switched the popcorn for the tomato soup. The sandwich was delicious and they don't skim on the meat. The sourdough bread was toasted and had a great combination of crunch with softness. I was let down by the soup. Quite bland. I also thought that the tables could use some cleaning, perhaps a once over. If I'm in the area, I would definitely stop by again although I probably wouldn't go out of my way. I'll just stick to buying their baked goods from other businesses that are closer.

Driving through town on a road trip, wanting a tasty breakfast before leaving town. I am so glad I stopped in! Parking was easy in the street out front at 8:30am on this Thursday morning. The rower had several tables inside for dining or work (WiFi was available). Outside seating was available out back as well. The menu online matched the menu on store if you like to plan ahead. The staff were super helpful and knowledgeable about the pastries and flavors! Per their recommendation I got an almond croissant and cheese danish with fresh strawberry jam on top. I also ordered a lavender honey latte and a loaf of sourdough to go. The latte paired with the pastries was exactly the treat I needed! It was savory and sweet and just the right amount of food to fill me up and then some. I will be using the sourdough in the next few days and am looking forward to sandwiches and dippy bread!

You really can't beat Bham Breadworks for breakfast or lunch! The best pastries, great coffee, and delicious pizza. There's a meat pizza and veggie pizza available that changes daily. The pizza dough is just the right amount of crispy, crunchy perfection. Food is also well-priced compared to other local options. Great place all-around!

This place is my type of vibe!…read more Trattoria ZaZa has been on my list of places to stop at for several years. Parking often deters me but after attending the Italian Festival earlier that day, we had a craving for pizza. I ordered the combo that includes 2 slices of the day with salad. Since I wasn't overly hungry, I offered him one of my slices and he added another slice to the order. We paid and were given a number to place on our selected table. Jazzy music played in the background while we waited on our order to be brought to the table. The natural lighting, while beautiful, made it a little warm in the building. One of the waitresses propped the door open that leads to the restrooms (which are in the hallway near the elevators) in order for cooler air to make its way in. That wasn't a deal breaker, but do be aware of that on warmer days. Our food came out after a short wait. I kept my 3 cheese slice, and gave him the pepperoni one. The cheeses were very rich and the salad, while simple without the frills, was perfectly sized and drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette that was just the right amount. While I enjoyed my meal very much and the ambiance, he wasn't overly impressed with his. He didn't want the fresh herbs on his slices and knocked all of them off, lol. He's a simple guy with simple taste. This is definitely a place I will be revisiting with one of my girlfriends and not him next time as he didn't appreciate what ZaZA had to offer. Everyone we encountered was helpful and courteous. Our food, including drinks, was around $28, which was not bad for a cute, eclectic spot downtown. If you haven't been, make sure to try them out soon. Just don't wait as long as I did to visit!

Where to start? Went on a weekend, place was packed. The…read moreBad: 1. SLOW. Waited in a line inside of 4 people in front of me. There was someone at the podium at the end who i thought was a server. Was not. After a 15 minute wait (why did it take that long?), we got to the podium person. And found out they were there to take our order, not seat us. Can only assume the 15 min delay was because people were trying to figure out what to order. No signage anywhere saying, please have what you want ready while you wait in line. 2. No menus, anywhere. Yes they can be printed and people in line could take one and figure out what they want. Yes, the menu could be put on the wall behind the server in large lettering. But no, they make you scan a QR code on the wall and view the menu on your phone, so that's inconvenient and a bit obtuse. 3. When we finally place an order for pizza, was told that, "they dont serve pizzas on the weekend, but we could order their "brunch pizzas", instead. Which on the counter, was small anemic cut slices of thick bready pizzas on the cutting board/table. Those each were $8.50 according to the menu. Figure the math of 2 small slices of pizza per person for 2 people vs just ordering a large pizza. But they don't serve pizza during brunch- Trattoria literally has the word "Pizza" in their last name- twice actually- yet you have to order a nearly $9 slice of pizza sitting out on a table for who knows how long, and of the flavor of their choice, not yours. It was flat out insulting to go to a pizza based establishment and be told they won't serve whole pizzas. We left and went to Uptown to a pizzaria there, and had a really good whole pizza, salad, dessert, and drinks, and all for half the price then if we had gone to Trattoria. Wanted to give this place a chance for years, but did not work out the way i had expected it to.

But I'm sorry the food? (In my case shrimp and grits) was NOT GOOD. And don't get me wrong, it wasn't a horrible flavor, but the flavors it did have were terrible. First the grits are not smooth at all. Like they aren't super course but they definitely could have been cooked down more. And they had little seasoning. And that's being generous. Then the "creole" sauce on top? Can we ask the audience what they consider creole? Because that was just pure tomato sauce. Like straight out a can, had to be. No way someone cooked that sauce from scratch or even with creole seasonings or typical additives I'm sorry I just refuse to believe it. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST... 5 shrimp??? You can't be serious. I could understand 5 shrimp if they're the huge jumbo ones but these are smedium at best. Like I feel BAMBOOZLED because no way I paid 24$ for 5 shrimp and maybe 1.5 cups of grits. But imma be honest I'm not surprised the food wasn't that good. Any place that puts on the bottom "we can't refund for food you don't like" that should tell you everything you need to know. But I digress My friends said the tequila sunrise was good so that's another star. Service and tequila sunrise. The only highlights. The venue is pretty but I don't recommend
