You can order extra hummus for an additional charge, however. The latte was good and strong. I love a bold coffee. However, it wasn't as smooth as I prefer my coffee. They have a menu with a wide variety of things to choose from, but they're mostly known for their bagel breakfast sandwiches, so I ordered the bacon and cheddar egg sandwich. The employee at the counter was nice and put in my order quickly. My food only took 5 minutes until it was ready for me to collect. My sandwich was not the most flavorful, but it was hot and neatly put together. I got the Santa Fe breakfast sandwich the last time I was there, and I loved it, so I'd recommend that instead of mine today. The seating availability was fine for such a small building, but I don't like how they arranged the tables really close together. Since then, I visit regularly and always order the same sandwich. But honestly, it comes out different every time. Like a bad good boyfriend, the inconsistency wore on me. "maybe they had an off day." "It'll be better next time." Sometimes the prosciutto is on the light side or the mayo on the heavy side. Once I went and they subbed romaine. It did not work. I drove up 20 minutes and they closed early. I came another weekend and they were out of bread. No social media posts. No nothing. They charred my kiddo's pizza. But we kept trying, because I remembered the good times and it would be just good enough to keep me coming back. Then today I decided to break up with Bruto for good. I ordered and paid as usual. My sandwich had no arugula so I asked them to fix it. When I got back to my desk I realized why. The arugula was yellowed and mush. The bread was not toasted and mush. The prosciutto... barely fried and floppy. I love local businesses. I love food. I love giving out food recommendations. I can't recommend Bruto anymore. Whenever any donut shops pop up nearby I always say they have nothing on Donut Joe's. The donuts always taste amazing and the staff are always super kind. They wake up super early in the morning to prep the donuts and brew some coffee fof the daily commutes and people nearby. I especially love to pick up donuts for my coworkers when I head to work as well. In the four years that I have lived down here in town, I can say without a doubt it is one of the best donut shops I have ever had and I hope to continue to come here for years.
