Best wood fired pizza! The prosciutto and arugula pizza was heavenly salty, savory, and with a peppery kick from the arugula. The crust was light, crisp, and had a lovely char. Pairing it with a glass of red wine made for an amazing evening.

Always solid. Never had a bad meal here. It's become our go to breakfast spot when in Tuscaloosa. The bagels are surprisingly very good. There is something for everyone. The hash brown casserole was delish as well.

Conecuh Sausage Egg & Cheese, everything bagel

Bagels always hit. I got the Conecuh egg and cheese and added cream cheese and it was amazing. Some of the best breakfast in Alabama if you're looking for something quick to pick up.

My tram from work was getting together and since there is outdoor seating, decided to meet here! We had an enjoyable visit outside although it was much colder than I realized. The service was excellent. Especially since one team member forgot her mask. They provided her one no problem. Our food was great! My only suggestion which may not even be possible, is to install a propane portable heater outside We probably would have stayed longer, but we were freezing after sunset!

Food left on a more than likely very dirty shelf. The people in front of me had their ingredients put on a plate.

I've been coming here every now and then ever since I moved to Tuscaloosa. It's really close to my apartment and like the reviews have said the food is usually good. However, after what I experienced today I can no longer say I feel comfortable eating at this establishment. I ordered a sausage bagel sandwich. While the bagel was toasting, the lady who was handling the kitchen took my proteins on a small spatula and then placed the food on a shelf that is more than likely pretty dirty. See the photo below. I'm no health expert by any means, but this seems like a very obvious health code violation so because of this I threw the sandwich in the garbage and left. I spoke to the manager on the restaurant's Facebook page, or supposedly the manager, and he gave me some scripted BS response that I personally wasn't buying. Part of me feels like things won't change with a simple complaint. I would avoid eating here due to bad food practices. If they are willing to be this unsanitary right in front of a customer who knows what else goes on behind the scenes. There is a truth behind Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares and Bar Rescue, people. Just look at my photo for evidence.

Stopped for a quick lunch and the food was amazing! So good we couldn't decide between breakfast or lunch so we tried both. Bagels were so fresh and delicious. Chicken salad in the croissant was amazing too. Would definitely come back!

I think if I would have come a bit earlier my food would have been a bit more fresh and not so "reheat" quality. I wanted the quiche Lorraine, but they were out at 2p, so I settled with the spinach quiche. It was ok, good consistency but could tell it was just reheated from a cooler because the center was still cool. The crust was flimsy and tasteless. Now, my partner ordered the Rueben sandwich and it was to die for and it was made fresh. So, I will be coming back for an earlier lunch sometime this week and hopefully with a better update! Now the wine selection and unique beverage cooler selection does make this place a very unique experience. So, hopefully the food on my next visit will be of better quality, because the overall atmosphere and experience are 5 star quality.

Good food, good pricing, great location...friendly staff and outdoor seating was a plus

see all those lovely bubbles? Those make it light as a feather and so delightful to eat!! Not heavy or "doughy" at all.

My family and I love to drop into Cravings every chance we get. Naturally the kids love the amazing variety of unique sodas and vintage candies but we all have a healthy appreciation for their menu as well. The bagels are fantastic. (My last order was a jalapeño bagel loaded with cream cheese and capers and it was out if this world delicious). My son will save up his allowance to splurge on their lobster rolls (Connecticut style). My daughter loves the quiche. But let's talk about their newest offering. Pizza. Not just any pizza - Detroit pizza. Imagine a deep dish pizza with a nice crunchy edge. Got it? Now completely dismiss that notion from your mind. This house made dough offers the sensation of a deep dish pizza crust without the heaviness. Most notably - the entire perimeter of this 8x10 slab of goodness is encased in cheese. Crispy, crunchy "deliberately burnt" white cheddar. Oh. My. Gosh. This pizza was crafted with intention and it was obvious each element (crust to cheese to marinara) was selected with great care. This pizza could very well change the course of your life. Having yet another reason to love this place makes my heart (and belly) happy. I enjoy talking to the owner and hearing his passion come through as he proudly describes his offerings. This is the kind of local place Tuscaloosa needed to serve the niche foodie market. Out of state students love being able to find regional favorites. I love that Cravings has brought some many new favorites into my little corner of the world! I'm a customer for life!

Customer service, great! Bagel, as good as you can get down here. It's not exactly NY but what can ya do. I wanted to leave a review to say if you're going to charge me for cream cheese you need to at least give me cream cheese. I don't see why it wouldn't be layered on thick or at least enough to taste it. Thanks!

Reuben sandwich

This place has the best Reuben sandwich in Tuscaloosa. I'm from upstate New York and am used to getting a good Reuben at any diner, but there really isn't any place in town that does it right. The bread is thick and toasted and not wet from the dressing. The sauerkraut is not rinsed to much that you can't tell if there is sauerkraut or not. I love it when you have a little of the sour in every bite. The meat is good quality. Some other places in town boast lots of meat, but it's not very good quality. This meat was a medium portion but great quality. Loved it and will be back

Cute place, lots of selections of beer and wine. I had the New Orleans muffaletta. It was good but not as good as what you get from Central grocery in New Orleans.

Perfectly pouched eggs on top of a fluffy biscuit smothered with sausage gravy. Tasty! Try something new and you will be pleasantly surprised! It was busy this morning, as it was a Sunday, but we were seated quickly and waited on promptly. This is a massive location. A lot of seats and a lot of people working. Food was good. Highlight was the homemade jam which was so spectacular I wanted to dunk everything in it. Breakfast plate was good. I didn't get my eggs as ordered (asked for sunny side up and got scrambled) and I tried the smoked sausage, which is a meat option, but it wasn't very good quality sausage and possibly over smoked? I usually like smoked sausage and this wasn't it. Benny was very good and the biscuit was spectacular which, in Alabama, is an important thing. Will be back again, and will definitely think of taking visiting guests for breakfast here. A good addition to the lineup.

After 15 mins- we were told ANOTHER 10 mins... meanwhile, waiting the last 10 mins there were 4 tables sitting empty by the front where we were standing.. The blond girl at the front was very robotic, no smile, no greeting, seemed annoyed to be there. You couldn't hear her calling the party's names. Not the person you want as the first representative of your establishment. When she finally called us and brought us to the table, asked "how many in your party?" How can you not know? You JUST PAGED US! It's on the iPad in your hand! We said 5, she gave us 3 menus... seriously? The server was awesome and cheerful. The food was amazing. But again ... customer service. 2 plates came out, 5 mins later 2 more plates, 5 mins later the last plate. Why is our food not coming out all together? We ask for the check and get it promptly, but it took another 10 mins for her to come pick it up... Lots of room for improvement for the customer service end of it, and even though the food was absolutely delicious, it wasn't enough to outshine the poor initial impression with the lack of hostess skills and wait time.

There was a short wait when we arrived that was approximately 15 minutes. We opted to sit at a table outside. It was a sunny day, but could have been a bit warmer to enjoy outside more. The outside seating has a great view of a river, which is nice. Our serve was Alana and she was extraordinary! She was attentive, has great recommendations, is very witty and funny and has fantastic people skills! Looking around at the other table she was serving, they were equally as happy with her service. I ordered a southern scramble and a side of lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes. Those pancakes stole the show. Everything tasted great but I didn't put much of a dent in the scramble as it is a good size portion and the pancakes deterred me from eating more! Lol! Overall wonderful experience and I would come back again!

Still, we were told there would be a 15-20 minute wait. We waited about 35 minutes before seating. Make it make sense. That said, the restaurant sits right along the Black Warrior River, which offers a really pleasant view, especially from the patio. On a cool spring day like today, it's hard to beat outdoor seating here. Tuscaloosa is buzzing with football fans for the annual A-Day spring game, which adds to the energy around town. My better half ordered the shrimp and grits, and I went with the steak fajita bowl, minus the sunny-side-up egg. Even at my age, I can't do the runny yolk situation, I always ask for my eggs over hard. With that change, I'll say the fajita bowl jumped up to one of my top breakfast/brunch go-to dishes in town. Yes, I know it's technically brunch, but it was before 11 a.m., so I'm calling it breakfast. The shrimp and grits were solid, though the tails were still on the shrimp, which meant a bit of extra peeling at the table, my wife wasn't a fan of that part, but she still finished the dish and enjoyed it overall. Only minor gripe on the food side: ice seems to be a rare commodity here, I'd love a few more cubes in the water. But overall, the food was very good, the patio seating is absolutely the way to go, and the river view is fantastic.
