Great food but they never answer the phone for to-go orders. You also can't take advantage of the happy hour burger without dining in.

Solid burgers and fries. A bit expensive but they are half pounders. Friendly, great service.

The food is very peppery and spicy. I had a stake sandwich and could not finish it because it was so hot and spicy.

Expanded menu or not, I'll keep coming back, and I'll probably keep ordering that Chicken Club.

While we were making the move from Texas to North Carolina we stopped in Tuscaloosa for the night…read more I wanted to try a restaurant downtown since it was our first time in this town and the Avenue pub came highly rated. Parking is manageable, but you'll need to find parking either in front or to the side of the restaurant. When you walk in it has the feel of a polished, upscale pub. We were seated and immediately ordered the bacon burger (which comes with a 1/2 a pound of ground beef with provolone and bacon). I also would recommend adding grilled onions to the burger and upgrading the fries to pub fries (seasoned fries topped with shaven Parmesan, mozzarella, and chopped bacon). The peppercorn ranch that is especially good and tied everything together. If you are looking for a craft burger spot in the heart of Tuscaloosa, I can't say enough good things about this place and it's absolutely worth checking out.

Me and wife came here for lunch after seeing reviews…read more I'll start with staff. They were very friendly and we were seated right away. For food I ordered the chicken club and wife got the fish and chips. The club was good not amazing. Both the sandwich and fries were a little too salt heavy. The fish and chips were ok. Not the best but not bad. Again fries little to salt heavy. I'd go back if someone really wanted to eat there but wouldn't choose this place.

It's been a few years since my last visit, but back when I worked closer to downtown, this place was a weekly (sometimes twice-a-week) lunch ritual. Man, this spot is awesome for lunch! Now, if you try to come on a weekend--good luck. The place is packed to the gills, and the folks lined up outside aren't there for the turnip greens, if you catch my draft, I mean drift. They're here for the other "festivities"... the bar. But let's talk food. Whether you're circling your favorite meat and three combo or grabbing something off their regular menu, you can't go wrong. Their meat and three is like stepping straight into Granny's kitchen on a cool October Sunday afternoon. I went with the country fried steak, Caesar salad, fried okra, turnip greens, and--because I'm not a quitter--a helping of blackberry cobbler. Every bite was fantastic. My wife went with the fried catfish, paired with black-eyed peas, fried okra, and of course, the same irresistible blackberry cobbler to top it off. Her meal was every bit as delicious as mine (not that I didn't try to sneak a bite or two for quality assurance purposes). The background music today was a dose of pop, with Ingrid Michaelson's The Way I Am setting a nice, mellow vibe--pretty fitting for a lunch date with my wife. Soft and pleasant... though, if I'm being honest, I'd trade Ingrid for a little Metallica or any one of those glorious 80s hair bands in a heartbeat. Nothing says "meat and three" like a little Pour Some Sugar on Me, right? These days, a meal I used to enjoy weekly has become a rare treat, but today's visit reminded me why I loved it so much. The outdoor seating is perfect for a crisp fall or breezy spring day, TVs are plastered all around so you won't miss your favorite team (Roll Tide, of course), and there's even a pool table if you're feeling like hustling a game or two. The lunch staff is fast and friendly, and if you haven't experienced this Tuscaloosa gem, do yourself a favor and step inside for their lunch menu. Just maybe leave the late-night crowd to the younger folks--they've got more energy (and stronger eardrums) for that scene than I do!

We sat at the bar and all the chairs at the bar are very uncomfortable and old. They each one we tried rocked back and fourth. It's a cool place to chill, have drinks, and play pool. In our opinion the only good food is the pizza and chicken quesadilla. The wings were ok, nothing special. The fries are ok, they just aren't what I like. I don't care for the seasoning, but that's just preference. The cheese sticks were horrible and tasted chalky. I've never had cheese sticks like that before. We would come back here to hang out and have a couple of drinks, but would only eat pizza or the quesadillas and pass on everything else The other weird thing was, we sat at the bar, ordered our food and did not have any alcoholic beverages. They would not submit our order until we paid for our food first. Normally you pay for food after you eat, but that's not the case here. Service was average.

However Rama Jama's might have been one of the worst experiences I've ever had with food quality. I genuinely can't imagine how someone would look at that hotdog and serve it to a customer. It wasn't even burnt from a grill I'm pretty sure this hotdog was being boiled since they opened. On top of that it cost 19 dollars for a black hotdog, a burger, and a side of fries (that don't come with the meal you have to pay extra). They also charge 3 dollars for water throughout the whole venue. All in all, make sure you eat and drink before you come.

I did not get the chance to visit the stores, but I definitely will come back and visit soon. I came to the Venue for the Margarita Festival. It is a decent sized area that has nice seating and a small stage. The parking area is somewhat small, but luckily we were able to park next door and walk over. I will say for this hot summer day, I wish the Venue would've offered a few additional things: They didn't have enough shading. The only shad I noticed was under awnings and from the trees. I noticed that some of the picnic tables and chairs had umbrellas, but not all of them. Also I didn't see any misting areas and/or watering areas. They could do like they do at the ALABAMA games and have a huge cooler with the cheap cups and offer free water during events. Especially since this was an outside festival, water was definitely needed as I also didn't see where you could purchase water. Nonetheless, the Venue is a nice spot for events. I will have to look at their site to become more acquainted and see if they have any other events here.
